We loved this brewery! We got a beer flight of 4, and we were allowed to pick from any of the 10+ beers, 3 wines, and 1 DELICIOUS cider! We absolutely loved the cider they had here and the two hazy beers. Our flight was only 12 dollars, and there were games to play on the inside like Cards against humanity and other games! The bartender was so sweet and thoughtful. This brewery was our favorite in solvang! Very cute indoor and outdoor area too! read more

The Good: *Fantastic service by the barkeep *Great people watching as tons of people will come ambling by during your visit. *Dog-leg outdoor seating with umbrellas *Cornhole boards *Kid-friendly *Great selection of beers on-tap and some even more amazing ones in the bottle, like their Wee Heavy Scotch Ale, which was fantastic. The Meh: *There is a small private lot for this cluster of businesses, but good luck finding a spot. The Ugly: *No food served, but you're free to bring in your own food to eat along with your suds. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of options in Solvang when it comes to take-out food, other than--blech--Subway®. Hallie helped us and was great. This place had great beer and we played corn hole outside. You can even grab some fresh eggs on your way out as Hallie has some from her local farm. Solvang has needed a brewery for locals and visitors to hang and enjoy craft beers at! Draughtsmen is the perfect addition. It's an excellent location right on the Main Street and is easily accessible. They have tables inside and outside. I opted to sit outside under the umbrellas and it was so nice. They've decorated the space really well and the service is excellent. I look forward to many more gatherings at this spot! They do offer a limited food menu from Coast Range next door if you're looking for something to eat. read more

This place has really good beer! They are super friendly and welcoming. Our bartenders Austin and Don were both so amazing and helpful (we went two nights that's how much we liked it). The beer was filling and refreshing. I am not super knowledgeable about beer (not a huge fan) but that's all anyone would say who I asked. When Don found out I didn't drink beer he gave me a carpis sun! That was a highlight of my night :). The location is right centered in solvang and placed perfectly to give you a break during your wine tasting tours. Stop by and experience the local scenery with a light comfortable design on a brewery. I saw they have flights too which is awesome. They also make their own cider and some yummy wines for those who are more experienced in beer! The place is light and fun! We saw this place while driving on Mission Dr en route to our hotel and loved the open patio layout so we bookmarked it to visit later in the day. Very relaxing, chill vibe -- we a flight tasting (church beer (light lager), nama biru (Japanese rice lager), Czech Please (pilsner) and Meat and Potatoes (porter) and the Hibiscus Hop Tea (non-alcoholic). The Meat and Potatoes like any porter was malty and tasted like coffee, the pilsner and rice lager were okay, but the Church Beer was the favorite -- very easy to drink and tasted great. The Hop Tea was interesting (in a good way) and was refreshing in the hot afternoon weather. Service was friendly. read more

My girlfriend and I came to Solvang for a quick vacation getaway. Our first night we walked through downtown and stumbled upon Draughtsmen! The owner and bartender (Don) were both very welcoming and lighthearted. Don helped us quickly find some beers we would like. We inquired if either of them knew where to watch the football games that night (Monday night football) and the owner immediately signed up for ESPN+ and put the games on. We left after one round to explore other bars/breweries but ended up coming right back to Don at Draughtsmen (other places were a bit rude). Don's personality and helpfulness won our business and we ended up staying close to closing time. Would definitely recommend and come back! read more

Went here for the first time a few months back. Loved the beer and the outdoor seating on the main road. The service was excellent as well. The girl was very nice and helpful. Great conversation. I have been back a few times since. They have a great beer selection as well as wines and they even offer food from next door. I tried a new place (to me) in town and tbh there was no comparison. I've decided why go somewhere new when you already have a great place. Highly recommend for locals and tourists alike! read more
