My house still had the original, gross insulation from the 1950s, and Brian and his crew came in and completely removed everything, cleaned and sanitized the entire attic, and installed new R-38 batt insulation. Our AC unit wasn't working well so we got three quotes. I'm sure this cut some costs with remove/setup, but based on some research this is ideal as the weather can get down below 40 degrees where I live. We went with GVK due to this, the fact he took the time to answer all questions thoroughly and honestly, and they were able to install the next business day; got a quote on Friday afternoon and scheduled me for Monday to install the new system. The price was also very competitive with the other options. We did have a delay in starting as they had a mix-up on install dates and had to postpone one day. However, George called and apologized and offered a discount for the mistake and to charge our current system to help keep the house cool until they came out the next day, which I think reflects how he runs a customer focused business. When he did come out that day I had more questions about the setup and based on our discussion we changed the coil for more flexibility in moving the unit in the attic one day. It was pretty clear that George runs a solid business; he double checked they left no trash after leaving, his workers made sure to set up mats everywhere they worked inside, they let us know when they would be using louder tools (as we have a baby), and they stayed until the unit was fully installed which meant they stayed pretty late. George is really easy to work with, does a great job on the customer side and also steps in to do the work himself which is all reflected in the impressive reviews he has.

This is a followup to the service we received in November of 2023. A few months after Attic Advisor…read moreinstalled new blown-in insulation in our attic in La Mesa, we found we once again had rats in the attic. (The rats had pretty much destroyed our original insulation.) We contacted Attic Advisor, and they sent a pest service company to help us. Unfortunately, while the pest service found the point of entry - an old Air Conditioning line - they did not seal it properly. As a result, we continued to get rats in the attic. Recently, we discovered that it was more extensive than we had realized, and our new insulation was compromised. We contacted Attic Advisor, and they let us know that while they provided rodent proofing as part of their service and also sent out a pest control company to deal with later incursions, they did not charge for rodent proofing and made no guarantees. However, they did offer to provide a complementary inspection, even though our warranty with the pest control company had expired. We expected them to come out and give us a new estimate for new insulation. Instead, they sealed the incursion point with foam and wire mesh, and installed some new insulation to help correct the damage done - all free of charge. They were courteous and professional, even though the day was not and the attic smelled of dead rat. We are extremely impressed and grateful.
