Here we go, So many of you may know that Crazy Billy's is located on Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park. Im a wine drinker so I love something smooth and sweet ,but not overly sweet. Red wines do the trick. When I visit Crazy Billy's they always have something new. Yes .... my mouth water as I write this review lol. Here are a couple of reasons why I love this liquor store. Customer service - Amazing. The vibes from everyone there is A1. Prices- Reasonable not under price and not overpriced. No pressure to buy. Variety- They have everything you can think of. Wine, Beer, Liquor, Just to name a few. From old to new. Even flavors that you wouldn't even imagine Crazy Billy's has it. From the time you walk through that door someone is there to assist. I love it. The music is mix,Hip Hop, R&B, Soft Rock, Pop etc. Imagine shaking your butt down the isle as you shopping lol. You walk out that store satisfied every time. Well least that's my experience. Store very well organized and clean. Hubby loves this place. If you want to get your drink on have a great experience on a budget go to Crazy Billy's. Staff tell me that the store has liquor tastings every Friday and/or Saturday evening from 5p to 8p. Please call first before going. Today I tasted the three flavors of Black Irish: Original, White Chocolate and Salted Caramel. Black Irish is a brand whose CEO is the self-professed Queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey. The White Chocolate was my favorite especially when it was mixed with the Original upon my special request. The White Chocolate added some much needed body to the Original. I do not recommend the Original on its own. The Salted Caramel was good, but it was too sweet. It would have tasted better if it were sampled with some hot coffee, iced espresso or cold brew. If you happen to be in Deer Park on a weekend evening and want to do some liquor tasting, stop by Crazy Billy's. This store even sells cachaça, which is a Brazilian rum. I saw two brands: Leblon and Pitu. Few liquor stores on Long Island sell cachaça, so I was impressed. Customer service is good. There is also free parking in a side lot. read more

This is an update from my previous 3 star... great customer service, store is smaller than it was and they carry all the hard to find items you can't find anywhere else. Outstanding selection from many parts of the world & very good prices (with the famed 15% Billy's coupon, found on the back of almost every Shop-Rite receipt--less than a mile down the road in Deer Park). The cashiers and the staff are all friendly & helpful. But one gripe I have had for a long time is: the sales guys hanging out in the wine aisles are too aggressive and almost insistent on helping customers. Some may like this but I don't! And I have to tell them firmly that I do not need help!! And if I do, I know exactly where to find them! Overall though, they are quite good and they have many fine wines from all over and in every price bracket from $9 to over $100! per 750 ml bottle! I give them 4 stars. read more

Big stars for being open on a Sunday! And on December 23rd! Saved me big time. I was throwing a small dinner party and did not realize that it was Sunday (after returning home from a work trip the night before). Not only was Crazy Billy's open but the staff members were ensuring everyone in the store was finding what they were looking for. Every time I went down an aisle someone was asking to help me. Another huge win for Crazy Billy's? They had at least four cashiers waiting to get you going on your way quickly. Nicely done! I'll be visiting again soon. Having just moved to the 'burbs from Brooklyn, I was in need of a bottle of wine. Or several. Unfortunately, I thought about this around 7:45pm and, by the time I got to the liquor store, it was closed. WTF, suburbs?! Anyways, I made another, successful, sojourn to Crazy Billy's and liked what I saw. They have a pretty extensive wine collection that caters to a broad audience. I did have a hard time finding a decent Rioja amongst the crowded, dusty and mish-mashed Spanish wines shelf but whatever, maybe the demand just isn't here for them. After all, they need to save some shelf space for items like the ones pictured, right? Don't let the name fool you; I expected bargain basement pricing and it was actually pretty standard. read more

Walked in after 5 pm on a Sunday night looking for a bottle of liquor to bring to a friends dinner. I had a lot of options to purchase on the way and even went out of my way to go here. Had bad experiences here years ago, but tried it again hoping it changed for the better, It has gotten worst, Charging $30 for a $21 bottle, Large Patron almost $112 a bottle, can be bought at others $88, They honor coupons but every coupon is to far, needs to be kept to a 100' radius. Greetings I just have to tell you how awesome this place Crazy Billy's is. But I mean in every way. 1. They have the largest selection of products that I've seen anywhere for all you scotch, bourbon and wine enthusiasts. And of course all the other spirits that they carry as well. 2. Their staff is amazingly skilled and talented at what they do. I'm always blown away that when I come in to try something new that some young kid in their 20s is recommending a good Cabernet for me. You got a love our millennials. LOL. And Their customer service is second to none. 3. And I'd love to tell little bit about Billy the owner. One of the most generous people that I've ever worked with when it comes to charities. I've seen him help so many non-for profit groups and he's a big-time supporter in his own community. Definitely somebody you'd want to send your business to and support just because of how much she gives back to the community. Crazy Billy's used to be the "go to place" for wine and liquor as it was a huge store and often had tastings... I'm not sure when it happened exactly BUT the store is exactly half the size it used to be and the other half is now closed off and for rent! The prices are the same and the staff are helpful and friendly but the selection seems steeper (?perception). I actually asked if they offered two different wines (Barefoot Malbec and Conundrum red blend) and they did not have either. I was very surprised by this. They did have my current favorite wine (Naked grape Fall Harvest) so I couldn't complain too much as not all liquor/wine stores have it. I am not sure if there is new management/owners or just a downsize in the size of the store. I will obviously continue to visit Crazy Billy's. (it would be a plus though IF they offered a discount when purchasing 6 and/or 12 bottles of wine as some other distributors have started to do this) read more

Great variety of liquors packed into their now downsized space, nice kids that work there but their prices are much higher than most places. For example, a bottle of Cabo Wabo Silver runs about $30 in the surrounding area liquor stores, it's $39.99 here. Ten bucks is ten bucks... just sayin'. read more

Crazy Billys is the BEST!!! I recently hosted a Pancake breakfast in support of Hope For The Warriors org. at my Volunteer Fire house and Billy, the owner, came through tremendously with support!! Not only did they donate an amazing basket for raffle, but he contacted ME to make the donation. it was really amazing to have someone reach out to me to help support this event and our Nations Wounded veterans. Billy was an absolute gentleman. He invited me into his office and put a face to the donation, he showed sincerity and gratitude not only to North Babylon Fire Company but to all veterans alike! On a more personal note.....not long ago I hosted a going away party for my in laws at my home. Crazy Billy's was more than generous and helpful in helping make this party outstanding!! They had a tremendous selection, great prices and I believe they even discounted my order because of the amount that I purchased.... How I love this liquor store. My fire department has a yearly comedy night and we make baskets out of items that have been donated. Crazy Billys has come through each and every time. They always donate an extremely large basket of liquor or wine. And their basket is the top 5 selected out of 50 baskets. Which means the 200 plus people that attend our comedy night love to win this basket from Crazy Billys. Won't ever give this place my business again. I have used this place almost exclusively to purchase wine because I pass it on my way home. I was even a member of their card club. Recently, I purchased two moderately expensive bottles of wine. After paying for the wine I remembered that I wanted to check on the price of a bottle of single malt scotch. As I started to walk away from the checkout counter the clerk stopped me and told me that she would have to hold my bag with the wine because the store had been having a problem with shoplifting. I realize that the clerk was just following the owners instructions but I politely told her that I resented being treated like a common thief and that I would take my business elsewhere. Business's need to realize that there are many other options available to buy their product and poor customer service can and will drive away buyers. read more

I am apart of the Farmingdale State Cheerleading Team, and myself and a few other girls of age, went around to a few liquor stores asking for wine bottle donations for a fundraiser we were having, and Billy truly helped us out so much. He is an amazing person and was so invested in helping us out all he could. Not only was the store incredible, but the ownership was even more incredible. The guys that work on the floor are very knowledgable and friendly. The girls behind the register could be nicer. They barely greet you, chat with each other loudly while ringing you up, and don't say anything when the transaction is done. Selection is great and that have tastings of wine for you to try plus random tastings of liquor on the weekends. I go here quite often. read more

I called them up to see if they had the unusual Bourbon I was looking for (Ginger infused) Virgil Kaine. They physically checked the stock to make sure. a little shoe leather is much preferable to a computer readout. They had it and they remembered me when I came in to ask for it and at a good price. They have so many brands to choose from and the store is easy to maneuver around the lables are beyond helpful. However, the harassment from the workers is beyond annoying is quite disturbing. I went into the store today a little before 7pm to pick up a bottle of Cabernet. To which i pretty much have my favorite and stick to what I like. This guy approaches me and offered me to buy a $14 bottle while proceeding with a BS story behind it. I told him no I'm fine I like what I like. He proceeded to show me another bottle for $19 and once again I said no. I was seconds away from walking out. I found the bottle I like and went to the counter he asked the cashier how much? She said $32.99 he than proceeded to say I'm making a big mistake and to let him know how it goes. Its so disturbing to the point I might not go back into the store. I dont like to be told how to spend my money and what I should spend it on. I pick what I like and that's it. All I can see is WOW ! The staff , selection and knowledge blow away all of the others. The fellow Lou explained the difference between two brands of white wine in detail. Considering my purchase was only $9.99 he made me feel comfortable and treated me like a VIP. Why he even gave me a Crazy Billy's Reward Card where I can receive a free vacation. That says alot about this store and how they want me to become a loyal customer. Free vacation and great service won my vote as the only destination for me when it comes to buying my wine and liquor. Crazy Billy's is the only place I buy my liquor. I love shopping there. Everyone is friendly and Helpful. I always walk out of there laughing. They are also extremely generous. They just gave the most incredible donation to our Autism Speaks fundraiser. The manager is the rudest man and he has zero customer service skills. He should not be working with the public at all. The staff is pretty much the same. It was only within the last year that I was introduced to Crazy Billy's, and since then I can't bring myself to go anywhere else. The staff has always been super helpful and always nice, and the selection there is great, definitely putting nearby liquor stores to shame. This year I approached Crazy Billy's about a donation for our fundraiser for cancer research, they were more than happy to donate. Today I picked up the basket, made by Jen, who has been such a pleasure to speak with, and was taken by surprise at the size and selection it contained. Jen even helped carry it to the car for me. Let me just say that they were so generous with their donation, that having it in the front seat, my car thought it was a human and alerted me to buckle it in! I'm not much of a drinker, but when I need alcohol for entertaining, I always drive an extra mile or two to come to Crazy Billy's because the prices, customer service, and selection are excellent. Everyone who works there is nice and fun to be around. But more importantly, Billy is a strong supporter of important Community Services and is known to contribute generously to breast cancer organizations, including one that I volunteer for.
