What a ridiculous experience. We made a reservation at this place and arrived to find that a private event was taking place at the same time. That's not necessarily a problem--businesses can host private events while remaining open to other guests. The problem was that when I needed to use the restroom, I was told I had to wait until the private event was over because the restrooms were reserved for event guests. If that's the policy, then why are you accepting reservations for other patrons at the same time? Basic amenities like restroom access shouldn't be unavailable to paying customers. It's completely unreasonable to invite guests onto your property, take their reservation, and then tell them they can't use the restroom. The whole situation felt poorly planned and incredibly inconsiderate. If a private event prevents you from providing normal accommodations to other guests, then either don't accept additional reservations or make alternative arrangements. This was a frustrating experience and not one I would choose to repeat. read more

What a fantastic place! Everything. The food, the wine, the ciders and beers, the live music and most especially the service. First, the food is legit Greek. We've been to Greece and FIV's food is the closest we've had since coming back home to Long Island. Their drink selection was varied and excellent. Our server was both sweet and knowledgeable. The owner was an absolute gentleman and sent us home with a sample of olive oil he imports from Greece (he uses it in the Village Salad - try it - it's like going to Greece for a fraction of the cost). You get the sense of walking into a clean, farm-fresh, open, inviting vineyard tasting room, Without the hassle of traveling to the east end or Napa Valley. The owner and his family were present. The owner took the time to come to our table and speak with us. We think thats a very good sign of owner buy in and usually the sign of an experienced and successful food service professional. They have an interesting wine menu and sample options. We had some local beer flight samples. They have a nice tapas style food menu with a noticeably Greek flair. We had a warm pita app with hummus, Greek style yogurt dip, and spicy feta. Delicious! We had my daughter's Baby Shower here. The owner is very hands on and even helped us put up decorations. He is just awesome!!! Knowledgeable, kind and easy to work with. The venue is beautiful with a real Long Island Beach feel. We did a brunch with 64 people the food was great and plentiful, the drinks were great and everyone left happy and satisfied. Came as the first stop of my bachelorette party. Angelo and Annie were there ready to greet and make this a special day. We had various eats and tastings. Angelo was kind enough to give me words of wisdom and a bottle for the girls to sign as a memory of our visit. Side bar, they are not a true restaurant but their food was good. The sole employee in this place on a weeknight was able to handle a few tables and bar patrons. Once it hit 20 people she was overwhelmed and the only other person there was my best the owner and he just kept his head buried in his laptop. She couldn't keep up with making cocktails which has been recently added as a new option and take orders and closeout checks. One group of 3 came in before 8pm which is when the kitchen closes and still had no service after 8pm. I hope they weren't hungry. Strawberry cider was good, initially had a good Strawberry flavor. Mojito drink was too sweet and not enough mint. Pizza was burnt on one whole half. Lamb/beef gyro meat was overcooked, dry and crunchy that it actually poked my gum line. When we mentioned it was not as expected all that we were asked was if we wanted it wrapped to go. WRONG response. Lemon soup was good. The pita bread was cold that came with the dips, it came straight out of the plastic bag and was cut into triangles. We had high hopes when we arrived, this is a one and done. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! My husband and I hosted our welcome party at FIV the night before our wedding. Our party was from 6pm-9pm and we had a medley of appetizers, open taps bar, and catered buffet style dinner for 60 people. The space was perfect for that amount of people. Angelo was our point of contact from the beginning and he was AMAZING to work with. He was so accommodating, responsive, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. We were able to arrive an hour before the event to set up our decorations. Angelo and his staff helped us set up and couldn't have been nicer. The event ran smooth and on time. Angelo even helped us pull off a surprise to two of our guests who had birthdays that day. Every single person I talked to that attended my party couldn't say nicer things about FIV. The space was already decorated so nicely that it didn't need much from us which was super helpful. The food was delicious and we were able to take the leftovers home which was a nice plus. Overall, my welcome party at FIV was the best night ever. I can't wait to go back to visit next time I'm in Bay Shore. If I need to host another event again, you can guarantee it will be at FIV. I have been so excited to try this brand new bar/small plates restaurant. During this time in the world, I was happy to see that they offer safe curbside pick up. We ordered most of the offerings from the menu. The Greek Meze sampler is the way to go if you want to try all of their homemade dips. ALL were fresh and amazing. The salad was fresh as well, perfectly dressed and with high quality ingredients. Truly, everything was extremely fresh and delicious. I love how they offer local beverages and really great prices. My dad is a very picky eater so it's always hard finding places he would enjoy. We ordered a variety of things from their menu and enjoyed them all. Although they specialize in beer, cider, and wine, they had a decent food menu that goes beyond your average snack menu you would usually find at places like this. The owner is Greek so there are traditional Greek items on the menu. We had Greek fries, chicken and shrimp skewers, village salad, and beef/lamb/chicken gyros. Everything was tasty and we left full. However when we asked for a wine that she was not sure if they served the person that was asked gave a very rude "Absolutely Not" reply which was loud enough for us to hear and almost made us walk out. That was uncalled for and could have been handled better. The response should have been, let them know that unfortunately we do not serve that here please take a look At the wine list , or here is something that we think you might like instead. Either way one of those replies would have been welcomed. We usually order the shrimp skewers (2 skewers of shrimp for about 15 bucks) and a salad. The hummus is good.
