    THAI WRAP
    John D.

We are here usually once per week. Love the quality ingredients, the great tasting options, the wonderful service (which is always great), and the nice prices. Menu items are always consistently good and I've tried nearly all of them. I am frequently singing the praises to others at the gym, and at my work.

Excellent, excellent food! I feel like this is a hidden secret among the restaurant world. Breakfast and lunch are always astounding! We love their salsa and their burritos. Lots of great options for healthy/picky eaters. I would highly recommend this place!

    What I got

I am so disappointed in the order I received tonight. I normally get a poke bowl but got the Thai chicken wrap but instead I got the lettuce wrap. Nothing like cutting corners but still charging a lot of money for lettuce, rice and chicken. Rice is not expensive and there is barely any in this wrap. I usually love this place but I can't believe I paid $12 plus tip for this. See pics from website vs what I received!

I love this place for healthy eating. The food is fresh and there are plenty of vegan/vegetarian choices. Friendly staff and even a drive thru! They have great drink choices including green tea. The restaurant is clean, bright and contemporary.

A great healthy fast lunch option. I got the tostadas. Two come in an order, one of them alone is almost enough for a lunch by it self. The slaw with the fresh vegetables give it a nice crunch in every bit. I normally added grill chicken which is the best meat option for this. I normally add the salsa from the salads bar to give it more flavor. The avocado gives it the little bit of creaminess to combine and the textures and flavors. Their marshmallow treats are also so good, they taste better then most places treat.

Ordered a bowl and a salad. Both come with dressing, no dressing. They're literally inedible and just leaves at that point.

People are always suggesting we stop by after a run. Their chocolate salty balls, or whatever they're called, are legendary. But I'd never had a chance to visit until today. In fact, we were going to meet at some place down the street that serves crepes, but it was closed. The people who own it just up and put a Gone Fishin' sign in the window. Hopefully, they're not on drugs. If I wanted to visit an establishment in the Grove, I'd visit an establishment in the Grove. Not to fear. Not only was Bike Stop Cafe open, it's open way early. You could have coffee before or after your run. Both, even! I didn't get a chance to look around much inside, but it seems like it might not accommodate as many people as you'd think. We were a group of maybe 15, and we sat outdoors. There's plenty of seating outdoors. That would be useless in inclement weather, but why would you be riding a bicycle in inclement weather? Too many DUIs? Like literally every coffee shop, Bike Stop has a small list of seasonal drink selections, one of which was some sort of banana latte. I've only had success with banana-flavored drinks and desserts, so that was a no brainer. It was a bit sweeter and less complex than I required but still really good. I got it with whole milk, which I think is key with these lattes, and it was nice and viscous. No Diddy. It felt rich and luxurious, almost like a melted milkshake. Their sandwich selection left a lot to be desired. They're probably all really good, but it's not clear what these things even are. Their names are all bicycle-related puns. I went with one of--or maybe the only--breakfast sandwich and/or wrap with meat in it, the Century. It was fine, but I kinda wish I'd gone with one of the more interesting-looking breakfast items, without meat in it. There was a Greek wrap, with feta, spinach and what have you, that seemed like it might be good. The Century has eggs, ham, cheddar tomatoes and maybe onions, and it comes with a little cup of ranch, for some reason. Uh, why? To impress Europeans here to watch the World Cup? Nothing against ranch, which can be fine on a salad when you're at your uncultured grandma's house, but I wonder if people who dip their fries, tendies and what have you in ranch wouldn't prefer plain ol' mayonnaise, gross though it may seem (to you, because you don't know any better). Really, what this thing needed was hot sauce and/or salsa. Also, I think it'd be better with bacon instead of ham. Or if it has to be ham, for cultural reasons, it should be a thick wedge of ham that's been grilled on a flat top, instead of deli slices. I toyed around with the idea of getting the chocolate salty balls, but I couldn't remember what they're really called, and I didn't want there to be "an incident." It was as hot as, well, balls out, and I think I may have permanently damaged my brain. If I'm ever able to find my way back, I'll have to study the menu beforehand.

So peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect start to our morning! What truly made the experience exceptional was our server, Jenn. She was incredible from start to finish!! She was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. She made great recommendations, checked on us at all the right times, and went above and beyond in ways you don't see often. My husband is picky about biscuits and gravy, and Jenn kindly brought him a sample of the gravy first to make sure he'd like it...such a small gesture to some people, but truly made it special for my husband. She even sent us off with coffee to go, which we really appreciated!! The food was just as impressive. I had the traditional breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly, the potatoes were nice and crispy, Jenn recommended the ham, which was so flavorful and perfectly charred, so good!!! My husband ended up loving his biscuits and gravy! Between the amazing service, delicious food, and relaxing riverfront setting, this was easily one of our favorite breakfast experiences. Jenn truly made it memorable, and we'll definitely be asking for her every time we come back. Can't wait to return!!

I had this place in the bookmarks and figured now was the best time to visit. Parking can be an issues in Downtown St. Charles since it is limited to street parking or public parking a few blocks away. We found parking right in front of FPC, mainly because it was a cold, Monday morning. We were greeted immediately, and inside was much smaller than I expected. We got seated right away though, and a good chance to really review the menu. I got a house coffee (delicious), and my husband got a Purple Haze Lemonade. We ended up getting a kid's pancake with bacon and scrambled eggs, Short Rib Breakfast Stack, and a Bomb Burrito. The pancake for my 2 year old was MASSIVE so it was a good day for him lol. The short rib stack was yummy - hash browns with runny eggs and meat on top. The burrito was also pretty good. Our breakfast entrees came with a side order of potatoes and while it was good, it got saltier over time so I might not get that next time. They advertise beignets, so we might go for that next time and try out their lunch menu!

We received both our orders (and they were correct) within a few minutes. I had the firecracker chicken with sweet chili sauce, which came with ravishing rice. (At first I thought my chicken was on a bed of carrots, but it was actually the rice - it is ORANGE. I did not detect a distinct flavor so perhaps it's orange due to food coloring. The chicken in both dishes was crispy on the outside and tender inside. Our meals totaled around $25. Sounds like a lot, but I had so much food that there is enough for a second meal. We WILL go back because the food was good, plus the menu is huge and there are other interesting items we'd like to try.

I was craving falafel so I ordered the vegetarian plate so I could try a bit of everything. I read a review that said they had the best yalanji here and I COMPLETELY AGREE! The one waitress did a great job, but the place is large... for a couple of hours they could use another staff member. The kitchen staff needs more people. The falafel. And coffee should have been made first-then the sandwiches. I believe this was the because of skeleton crew idea of management. Even the entrance was not located under their sign, but located under a Hertz sign. Overall- the name sounds like a "fast-service casual" place, but owners never worked out the kinks yet. I am a fan otherwise. I can see what the place could become.
