We had a Yelp elite event across the street and were running ahead of schedule so sent to this cute little bistro across the street to grab a cocktail and an appetizer and check out a new place. The guacamole bites were tasty, I had a glass of Pinot Grigio with it. The bartender/ server was super nice and helpful. The ambiance of this little spot is very cool and small. The menu is very basic. Sandwiches, salads, snacks and drinks.

Nice table on the patio and our waitress was very friendly . They have a good menu and husband and I both chose the bison burger. We waited about 25 minutes then waitress came and said the cook overlooked our order and it would be another 15 minutes, they gave us an appetizer until our order came. The toasted ravioli was very good , deep fried to perfection and a nice flavorful sauce. The Bison Burger was a half pound party grilled and loaded with cheddar cheese, bacon crumble plus bacon strip and onion rings served with hot crispy fries. If you haven't tried bison please note that it has a different flavor and texture than ground beef.

We enjoyed the beautiful weather and sat on the patio. We wanted the spinach and artichoke dip but they were out of it. Instead we ordered the guacamole bites. They remind me of all won tons filled with guacamole and served with a pepper jelly sauce. The bites were a little light on the guacamole filling. The pepper jelly sauce is delicious and adds more flavors and heat.

Great atmosphere in the heart of DT Charles. Had lunch and the menu was small but delicious. Staff were on point and friendly. Had the steak sandwich special and it was very good.

Not bad. Lobster bisque was quite good. So was the house salad. It had a nice mix, including a hard boiled egg. Dressing comes on the side. Bistro burger also good with a half pound patty that was juicy and cooked to my requested well done. Bacon, cheese and bbq sauce come on it. Sweet potato fries were overcooked, but still okay.

The Roasted Cauliflower seriously deserves its own fan club. Smoky and just tender enough, this side dish makes me feel like I made a responsible, healthy life choice. The mild corn salsa is bright and cheerful, though I will admit I treat the red peppers like an unwanted guest and politely pick them out, one by one. Their tortilla chips walk that fine line of perfectly salty, without tipping into regret, while the hummus is smooth and mellow. An efficient staff keeps things moving, but if you're introverted - or just don't want to commit to human interaction - the kiosk has your back. Dine inside, or al fresco, with a few patio tables.

It was chilly inside. The food was disappointing. Mine was supposed to have peppers and carrots but they were rare finds (see photos of Thai Bowl) as it was mostly hunks of broccoli with stems and cabbage leaves. Bland and unappealing, not cooked well, especially compared to Hawaii Poke, where the broccoli almost melts in your mouth it's so tender- and no stems. I won't be returning here.

I made mine gluten free for $3.99 upcharge. My spouse had a regular one. They were ready quickly and we picked them up to enjoy at home. My spouse's calzone looked toasty and smelled yummy. He gave it a 3 out of 5-good but nothing amazing. It's a ton of dough and cheese plus other stuff. I don't know how people eat an entire calzone. Mine was underbaked as you can see in the picture. The pasty dough took away from the great crusty crunch you want. And dipping just sogs the dough more. The Carmen calzone I chose tasted fine, but again, I ate the most baked end and that was enough. Leftovers would have to go in the toaster oven. To be fair, calzones probably aren't my thing anymore, I guess. Maybe it's a fun splurge but not a meal I'd choose on the regular.
