I'm giving this 3 stars because I'm torn. The service was terrible from our waiter Jose. We waited forever before he came to get anything for us. The kid who was taking people to their seat was walking around bringing waters and stuff checked on us more than he did. Thankfully cuz he even got us queso and guacamole with our chips and salsa. First off. The salad tasted like pizza sauce. No joke. The queso and the guacamole were very good. The beers come in giant mugs and a Dos Equis amber was only $6.95 for this big 32oz mug. My mango margarita on the rocks was delish. I got the special. Which was brisket tacos. Omg they were to die for. The brisket was perfect. The rice and beans are basic like most Mexican places. My dad goes here a lot and always gets the burritos deluxe and is always happy with them. He was disappointed that they don't have their seasoned fries anymore. Just regular crinkle cut fries. My husband had a chicken chimichanga and it was really good. We waited at least 25 min after he brought the check and he never came back to get it. So we walked up to the front and paid there. If you are thinking of coming here, think El Vaquero, Rancho Alegre or Los Mariachi's. The look, feel and food are all pretty similar. You get the Tex-Mex picture? Cool.... The Al Mojo de Ajo that I ordered was an entree of shrimp sauteed in garlic sauce which comes with tortillas, a dish of refried beans and a serving of rice. Fortunately it is one of their daily lunch specials and it's priced at $10.99 - very fair for the quality and quantity. I'd definitely try it again. Now of course you can't do Mexican without a basket of chips and salsa. Here the salsa was a typical chunky jar salsa but it kicked up nicely with a liberal dose of some habanero verde sauce. I also give them kudos for bringing each of us our own salsa bowl so we could spice things up as much as we each wanted. Also, being spicy, I had to have a medium sized frozen margarita with salt which was really quite good. So my lunch with Mark K. turned out to be a good choice. It's a little off the beaten path but it's worth taking the time to find. We both enjoyed our lunch here as the food was really good, filling and decently priced. (BTW Mark got the Plato Gordo - a platter of BBQ Ribs, Bacon Wrapped Shrimp and a mini Chicken Fajita with sides). He really enjoyed his lunch too. Service was a little disjointed with about 5 different people coming to our table but we certainly had no complaints as there always seemed to be someone right there when we needed something. Three stars for the experience, four for the food. I'm sure I've reviewed this before. They opened about 5 years ago and I went soon after; but then, maybe that was just before I started Yelping. It's a bit out of the way, but as Marysville expands they are now right on the edge- right beside Meijer. Pretty typical "new Tex-Mex" decor. This time I had a comfy booth. You get some big tortilla chips and good salsa. Not a lot of salsa, but then it was just me, and it was about enough. There's a big menu, with all the usual suspects and some interesting alternatives. I had one of the specials, Pollo Asado. And it was awesome. A quarter chicken, roasted and then grilled. Heavily spiced, but not hot- just tons of flavor, both on the surface and deep in the tender meat. It came with a pretty good beef enchilada, an average salad, and papas rellenos (a mound of fried mashed potatoes- try it, you'll like it!) The waiter was friendly... And completely inattentive. After he dropped off the entree he never checked back. Thankfully, the hostess got me a couple of drink refills. After I finished I waited for the check. And waited. And tried to get his attention. Finally I stood up and put on my coat, and he dropped the bill off then disappeared. I was in the unenviable position of revising my mental tip calculations downward. The first time I had food from here was two days ago. We used to get our Mexican food from tres portrillos but after multiple failures on their part lost our business. We decided to try crazy burrito and boy was it disappointing. We had ordered veggie quesadilla, side of beans and a cheese enchilada. Everything was so salty and this is coming from someone who can usually never tell if something is salted or not. Additionally they used cheddar cheese instead of Mexican cheeses which gave everything an usual flavor. The quesadilla was so soggy that everything became kinda soupy. The side of beans was inedible because the flavor was so off. I'm not sure how you mess up beans but they managed to. The enchilada was OK but once again too salty and a very unusual flavor profile. Wow! Passing through on our way home from Columbus and, based on reviews, was somewhat uncertain of which of the 3 Mexican restaurants to try. So glad we went with Crazy Burrito! Both gals working the front (hostess and cashier?) were friendly and welcoming. Seated in a cozy booth in the back had us passing many tables filled with food I would have liked to have just had ONE bite. (With high potential for that having been mildly awkward, I just proceeded to our table.) Although the place was busy, we were greeted quickly and with a smile. Drinks, chips and salsa were also timely. We accepted the offer for queso, somewhat small for the 1.85ish, but yum to the tune of ordering another. I was super-pleased with the menu options. Of course there were the tacos and burritos and enchiladas and fajitas and and and, but CB menu offered quite a lot of unique items I've not seen at the bulk of typical Mexican restaurants. I went with the Pollo Asado and in the words of Mark K. (12/10/14 reviewer) "And it was awesome." Indeed! The papas rellenas weren't exactly "a mound of fried mashed potatoes"; they were more like a deep fried ball of cheese-stuffed baked potatoes. We agree: "try it, you'll like it!" :-) His tacos -- never mind; really, what could be said about a taco? They were good. The service was exceptional. Jesus (aka "Chewey") - primary server, Braxton - primary busser/server "helper" (?), food runner guy, and the other 3 gals - busser/server helpers were all very friendly and attentive. We didn't want for chips, salsa, queso, drink refills, extra napkins - um, anything. Whereas that reads like a ton of people, at no point was the service/employees intrusive. This place is crazy busy. Parking is a issue. As is server consistency. And the lack of waiting space. So many people stopped by our table while we were trying to eat, but when we needed to leave - the server with our bill and/or credit card was busy refilling drinks at other tables. Qué rico! Me encanta el Burro Loco~ A large, colorfully decorated restaurant with polite (if somewhat bored) servers, the food at el Burro is always very good. I don't know how truly authentic it is, but for the typical Mexican place in the States, everything I have had there is quite satisfactory. The building itself is a light rose color, designed to look a bit like an old Spanish mission. Inside, there are two rooms - a bar\dining area and a larger dining area. Everything is bright and colorful, with Mexican motifs, textiles, and decorations, all in good shape. The lighting is dark except over the tables which each have a bright fixture hanging over them. As with any restaurant, the meal starts off with chips and salsa. Now, one glitch on my last visit was that I had to ask for the chips. I am not sure why this is - a new cost saving measure? Still, the chips were decently warm and fresh, and the salsa was still quite refreshing and flavorful, with plenty of cilantro and lime. After looking over the extensive menu, I decided on a chimichanga - hey, I'd been good all week and it was Dia de los Muertos - but wanted the one a la carte. I didn't want to be too bad. However, another glitch in this last visit, even though I did point at the a la carte chimi, I was served the more expensive chimi meal, complete with beans and rice. The increased price and the fact I would have ordered a pork filling instead of chicken if I had been opting for the meal (the pork is not offered a la carte) miffed me a bit, but in interest of trying the other items, decided not to complain. For this reason and perfectly positive past experiences, I am not going to dock any stars. However, I hope that I do not run into these problems again... Anyways, the chimi was excellent and served very quickly. The chicken inside was moist and chewy, with no hard bits or dried up clumps of meat that I usually find at Mexican places. The shell was covered in a rich creamy sauce, but not so completely smothered as to take away from the crispy goodness of the perfectly fried tortilla shell. No burns or hard sections to leave on the plate. The rice was also excellent. I think there was either a cheese\cream sauce in the rice to start, or some of the sauce from the chimi had seeped into the mix. Whatever the case, the rice was moist, had a great texture, and slightly creamy taste. It was not as flavorful as some Spanish rice, but I enjoyed it none-the-less. The beans were alright, a bit tangier than I am used to, and not quite as dense. Still quite enjoyable, but it's an odd occasion when I prefer the rice to the beans. As I mentioned, aside from the weird glitches during this last visit, the service was polite. The place was also fairly crowded, at least at the bar, despite being late on a weeknight. I would infer from this that the drinks were good. As I was driving, I would not be able to tell you. Prices are about average for Mexican food these days. The chimi meal cost $8.75 or so as I recall. However, if you do order off the a la carte menu (and get what you order), and get\ask for the chips, you can eat pretty cheap. I do definitely recommend the chimi, but the tamales are also very good, speaking from past experience. Also, they do have a $5 lunch special if you work in the area and have sufficient time to drop in. read more

We had this place 2 weeks in a row, door dash. It is now our #1 go-to Mexican restaurant to order. The Lava cake is the best, should ask if we wanted fried ice cream, as we aren't fans. I ordered different things both times. Chicken. Quesadillos was a tad disappointing. The second meal I got was the chicken enchiladas and it was super delicious. We have eaten here a few times and it has always been ok at best. They recently changed management apparently and the price has gone up and quality down. The tables are old and the coating is coming off leaving pockets of old food underneath. They have plastic decorations hanging all over that are covered with dust. I've always been told that if you really want to judge a restaurant go to the bathroom. BIG MISTAKE! It looks like somebody left a monkey with explosive diarrhea locked in there for several hours. There was even what appeared to be poo on the ceiling (I cannot verify if it was actually poo....could have been retried beans). The staff has always been friendly but somewhat slow. This is our favorite place to go to eat in Marysville. The food comes fast, the price is reasonable and most importantly the food is AWESOME! I cannot really review many foods here as I always usually get the same thing: the crazy burrito. It's well worth the price and has all sorts of meat in it. Big chunks of beef, shrimp and chicken and a lot of rice but most importantly a whole lot of taste!! This place is always pretty busy but no matter how busy you will never wait too long for a table as there are a lot of seats and the food always has come quickly for us. I like this place. Generally friendly and good food and service. Last two previous trips for lunch just after lunch rush the service was really slow and inattentive. Last night I took a party of 6 and spent over $100. My meal was a ripoff. It was my fault I admit. I ordered something thinking that for the price it would be something above average it wasn't. It was called burrito lacascada. I general order a combo:. 2 burritos w beans and rice for about $10.99. burrito lacascada was about $10.99. When it came to the table it was just one regular burrito with beans and rice. It wasn't a larger burrito like I was expecting. The only difference was shredded lettuce and sour cream on it. Hardly worth the price. I should have just got the combo with 2 burritos for the same rice. I wasn't complaining but I did question it and did admit it was my mistake that it didn't meet my expectations and that I wouldn't get it again. I was surprised that nobody said can we get you anything else or anything... By the way their weekday lunch specials are great and a great value. read more

My wife and I have been going here since they first opened. It has always been good in the past. Tonight there was nothing good about it. Once seated we sat for 15 minutes before the server took our drink order. We waited 10 minutes for the drinks. We had to ask for the chips and salsa which in the past were always brought to the table when you first sit down. Finally placed our order. When it arrived my wife's nachos were bland and they were a soupy mess. My Burrito la Cascada had some sauce on it that didn't taste right. This has to be one of the worst Mexican style restaurants I have ever been to. The chips are very thick and obviously come from a bag. The salsa is extremely bland and most likely from a jar. I asked if try had any spicier salsa. They brought a dish out with the boring house salsa that had chili pepper and chili oil poured over the top. Very hot but not very appetizing. I had a chicken burrito. It came out covered in cheese sauce. The chicken was dry and not seasoned at all there was nothing else in the burrito. Save your money and go to Taco Bell. Obviously, this restaurant pays attention to the feedback it receives. The service has improved tremendously and the food has gotten SO much better. My only complaint is that they've started playing country music instead of the Mexican/Hispanic music they normally play, which is unfortunate, as country music is nauseating and really detracts from the experience. read more

Ive been to crazy burrito numerous times. Its a go to when wanting mexican. The food here tastes authentic and fresh. Portion sizes are large, and prices are small. The service is always good, although on weekends you may be waiting over an hour for your dish. They can get a little crowded. We were looking forward to having a nice meal here as we did on our last visit. Problems began when our server brought out my meal and only part of my husband's meal. We waited for about 10 minutes for the rest of the food to be served at which time the first food served was cold. The quality of the food was fine, but something was not coming together well, time wise. We asked for our bill twice and when it finally was delivered, it was not our bill, but someone else's. After finally sorting everything out, and when the cashier asked how we enjoyed our meal, we said we actually had some disappointments and were not completely satisfied. I had higher expectations of the food based on so many great reviews, but it was good. I have temp issues though and I expect my food to be hot upon arrival and it simply was not. I ordered the combo to split with Steve and I got the burrito with chicken and the chimi with shredded beef and then it comes with beans and rice all for 8.99 which is pretty nice price. My beef is that when they dropped it off to me and I bit into the burrito it was cold and by cold I mean room temp. The beans were just warm and the rice was room temp. Now the chimi was pretty good in fact it was scalding hot and I wasn't expecting it based on the rest of the plate so I pretty much burned my mouth lol. I have worked in the food service industry for a long time and basically they are not timing the dishes right, if the burrito is made before the chimi and just sitting on the plate waiting forever then ya it's gonna freakin be cold! I order the guac and that was topped with a sprinkling of tomato, red onion, and cilantro which I really liked. I also really liked the chimi with the queso blanco sauce on it in fact the chimi was my favortite thing I tried and I highly recommend it. The burrito wasn't very good and I was disappointed because I thought it would come with stuff in it like beans and such, but it was just chicken so next time I will order a specialty burrito. Now for the service......I can see where some people get mad and give this place one star could happen and I think it is because they have too many people trying to do too many things I don't know how to explain myself on this one. My experience throughout the night went something like this in the beginning I was greeted by one girl and she brought me chips and such and then she took my order and then another girl brought my drink and a guy brought my food and then several other girls stopped by my table and then later I had another girl tell me she had been my server the whole time and this was the first time I saw her I swear lol.
