Twice in a row! Our crew was looking for a restaurant in Marysville after a long 2 days of work and chose Tres Potrillis. The restaurant was busy but able to accommodate our large group. The menu had so many choices for Mexican and Peruvian dishes. The taste was good with my shrimp dish, but the chicken flauta was dry and salsa needed more "kick." Tres Potrillos is the best Mexican place in Marysville. It has good food for good prices. The margaritas are strong and tasty. Food is better than the cheap chains. There's some good vegetable based items. I had the jumbo margarita frozen. It's about $7 at happy hour. This is so cold it made me shiver every sip. I had the vegetable burrito. This is about $10 for a large burrito stuffed with beans and vegetables. It's similar to that in other Mexican restaurants. This burrito isn't unique, but it's still good. I could come here again. It has a friendly atmosphere. They also have a few TVs at the bar so you can see a game. read more

First time here today... and last. I had high hopes given the reviews. I gave 2 stars because the food was good. The service was terrible. We arrived and were seated promptly. We got chips right away. Others came in after us. A waitress came up to the other tables and got drink orders while we still sat there for some time. Finally a server came up and we ordered. He brought our drinks and no straws. We waited for at least 5 minutes and never saw anyone again so I had to walk up to the bar to get straws. When I did so the other waitress started talking to our waiter as I walked up there and started laughing while she was looking at us. They were sitting there eating. Our food came out and we only got half. I had fajitas and only got the meat portion, which had about 12 microscopic pieces of chicken and a bunch of peppers. The rest of it finally came out and I paid an extra $1.50 for 2 teaspoons of guacamole, which I didn't get. I sat there and started eating while we waited for our waiter to return so I could ask for my guacamole. The food tasted good, but for the price there are better places out there. read more

Wow. Five of us stopped in for a quick lunch while in town on business. They had just opened and there was one other booth of customers. We were quickly seated, given our chips and sauce and all ordered the taco salad special of the day. I'm not a huge taco salad fan because, really, what can you do to a taco salad that hasn't already been done? Well, you can load it up with a ton of perfectly seasoned taco meat with just enough fat content to start soaking thru the bottom of the taco bowl. And if you do that, it's wonderful. Never thought I would give 5 stars for a taco salad special, but that, along with seriously good service and the fact that the TS was under $7 means this was the lunch of the week. read more

They have the very best street tacos in the entire world I'm pretty sure!! Their guac is also kick ass. I used to live in Marysville Ohio and came here every Tuesday for taco Tuesday with margaritas guac chips and salsa. I have since moved but every time I drive through Ohio to get to Pennsylvania I make a point to stop for lunch and dinner here that's how good it is! read more

We just moved to Marysville and were pretty sad to leave behind our go-to Mexican restaurant. We'd tried the other places in town but weren't feeling it. Tried Tres Potrillos tonight and we were not disappointed! Due to COVID, we chose the online ordering option. Husband and I really wanted margaritas but that's not an option to order online. When I arrived to pick up my order, I asked if I could order margs to go and I received an enthusiastic "absolutely." Brownie points. Husband ordered his go-to, Chori Pollo and a strawberry margarita, and I ordered the Burrito Chicago and a mango margarita. Tiny flaw: the jumbo margs were 20oz which was smaller than expected. My impromptu margarita order was ready quickly and I was out of there quickly after a chat with the personable host. Covid-add: all employees were properly wearing masks (emphasis on properly) and tables indoor and out were properly spaced for social distancing. Clear signage and hand sanitizer completed the safety precautions. More brownie points. Husband and I first tried the chips and salsa when I got home- perfect. The chips were warm and crispy, salsa had a perfect kick without too much salt. Husband loved the Chori Pollo; only thing he would change is to add refried beans. My Chicago Burrito was fantastic. We both agreed the chorizo was flavorful and not greasy. We ate all the chips and salsa (rarely happens when we get Mexican takeout) and enjoyed sipping our margaritas. We have found a winner! So my coworkers and I decided to go for Mexican food the other night and tried this place out. So, we were seated quickly and our server was prompt and attentive to our needs and keeping our glasses filled. Our server Brittney was quick to offer suggestions when asked what she recommended. I took her suggestion which was a "Cucuo Taco Loco". If you like guacamole this really is the taco for you. I enjoyed my meal very much. Now, our server was extremely helpful and made our experience quite entertaining. She was quick witted, sassy and fun with puckish demeanor. Staff have no language skills to deal with English speaking locals. Even when the waiter did not understand "side of grilled chicken" he responded in the affirmative. He ended up setting down in from of my two children one 8 years old the other is 10, hot fajitas plates that both got burned on with even after I told the "that's not right". My order was correct steak fajitas, however the steak had too much gristle to eat majority what amounted to overall skippy portion of steak. The beans tasted like a container left open in a fridge with something rotten. I travel quite often, so frequent lots of Mexican restaurants, this has been the worse one I can recall. Floors and tables are tacky, I mean actually sticky, like peal menu off the table. I asked for my check 15 mins ago: so sitting here absolutely annoyed. I got my check, no adjustment for their errors. To be completely honest I get the feeling they could not even understand or if they do they scam their customers for larger checks with pretend language barriers. So I paid $55 for slop I'd be embarrassed to serve out of my own kitchen. Kind of place and experience so bad, you reach for your cash instead of the card, zero faith that process your card would be done right. Funniest thing about the whole thing waiter, could pronounce "sorry" really well. But guy one table over had to ask for a beer 3 times before he understood. This place has been a long time favorite. I've used to live on the westside of Columbus and found Tres Potrillos years ago and it has since been my favorite mexican food spot since. I became stoked when I found out there was one of them in Marysville. So my opinion is they have the best Soupa Azteca around. This has been a long time favorite! My other is no longer on the menu - Taquitos. But that doesn't mean this place lost a star. This location has staff that is friendly, service is prompt and good, quality of food is always good and at par or above with no errors. This is the wife's favorite Mexican joint in the area along with the one on the Westside. Give the place a try, I was able to convert a good friend of mine to Tres Potrillos after he was a El Vaquero's fan. If you like Vaqs that says a lot and if not, well you get the point. read more

Not bad for Ohio Mexican. Any typically spicy choices toned down, so ask for heat. Service a little slow, but not unreasonable. The food was good- salad fresh and entree just fine. The only issue- common for this town- is people who sit and enjoy themselves while their kids fuss, scream, run around the place. Really fantastic food, especially their carne asada fries but the service can sometimes be a bit hit or miss. Highly recommend you check this place out if you're in the area as it has a decent sized, clean restaurant and even a patio for when the weather is nice. It's a bit more expensive (slightly) than some places but overall in line with most Mexican restaurants. Came with rice and salad. Service- meh. 2 stars. I stood for awhile when I walked in, and it's not like they were busy. The host (my waiter) was kind of hanging out having a pop. And service at the table was lackadaisical too. Long time before a drink refill, long time before he brought the check. Prices were fair. On Monday, 13 July 2020, we had dinner at Tres Potrillos Mexican Restaurant 435 Colemans Crossing Blvd., Marysville, OH. This was, approximately, our third visit. We enjoy a good Mexican-style restaurant, whether here in the U.S.A. or in the United States of Mexico. We find that the location, as in a large metropolitan area, is neither necessary nor relevant. We have been pleased with our experiences in small towns or cities the likes of Grays Harbor County, WA and the City of Fulton, MO. My wife had the Bean Enchiladas and I had the Vegetarian Quesadilla with Cheese. We both enjoyed our meals. My choice was well-stuffed cheese Quesadillas, very tender rice and a good selection of grilled vegetables. When in Marysville, this is our "go to" Mexican-style restaurant. read more

Ordered to go. The employees were extremely friendly, but while ordering the server did not seem to know the menu very well when I asked questions. I even asked in spanish and the person was still unable to answer my question. I ordered a chimichanga and nachos. When i got home i realized they gave me quesadillas and the chimichanga. The pork fajitas are amazing and probably my favorite item on the menu. Great happy hour with solid queso and guac options. Chimichangas Are also good but I rarely stray from my fajitas.
