I had a haircut on Friday, 14 Feb. The barber messed up my hair by not cutting my hair the way I asked and spent a little 5 mins for the haircut trying to make a quick buck. I noticed that my hair sides cutted unequally and I couldn't even to come back there on Sunday because they are closed. I'm very upset with my haircut because she have done lousy job. I'm also willing to come back there to talk to the manager or owner whoever own this business to show how she cut me. It's going to be my last visit and I will never come back and spend my money there for sure. I already pretty much posted my review the day as it happened, but I see it didn't go up so here it goes again stay clear of Crazy Cuts On Sunset after a couple of weeks of getting my hair colored exactly where I wanted it with my silver and my grays and my platinum I just came in because I was leaving town. I just came in to get a fresh up just freshen up I kept telling the woman and the owner Maria who worked on my hair and the owner that I love the grays and the platinum so I just want them to perk up just a fresh perk up. they both said they understood. I told her I don't want any coppers or any gold in my hair. They both said they understood after an hour and a half They get done and all my silver and gold and silver and platinum colors are gone. I just have a hair of light brown. I was so livid so angry so the owner tells me well you don't have to pay the full $65 just pay $45 . I said ya think?? I can't believe she even asked me to pay $45 So now I'm back where I started, square one ~ don't go to this place at least for any color jobs! Because they don't know what they're doing. Wow. I am SO lucky I randomly walked into this salon after moving to the neighborhood. Berta, the owner, is the nicest lady EVER. She's been in this same location for more than two decades, so this isn't some trendy, pretentious or overpriced place. She's super talented, charges reasonable prices, and just makes the whole experience so pleasant. So many places just charge ridiculous amounts or just make it arduous to maintain your hair. Not at Crazy Cuts! Forget about the dentist, nothing scares me more than a visit to a salon I've never used before and subjecting my hair to a complete stranger. Well, as Raymond Chandler once wrote, "All of my friends started out as strangers". After reading all the great reviews about Crazy Cuts I took the plunge and I'm glad I did. My hair cutter/stylist was Francisca and she was wonderful and cut my hair exactly the way I asked. She was done so quickly and so efficiently I thought I was in some wild and crazy dream. I am absolutely thrilled with this place. They did my daughter's up-do for the sound of music. Everyplace else was over $100 and they did it for $30 (but I ended up giving them a huge tip). I go there every 6 weeks now and Everytime Berta serves me with care, speed, kindness and a great attitude. I'm bringing a friend to have a haircut today and I know that when it comes to Berta, not only it will be cost effective and convenient, but I know he's definitively in good hands. I have been coming here for 12 years and I always get affordable haircuts and it's decent. They're not always busy so I never take more than 30 minutes there and that includes waiting. The service is great! And she remembers you and is always asking if the hair trim is good enough or anything before over doing it. I've been coming here for at least 3 years, and I have to say Berta is efficient, accommodating, and that she certainly charges bottom tier pricing for top rate service and cuts. I had no issues with the outcome of service only with the customer service presented by one of the older ladies here. I have two helix piercings which have never been an issue when getting a haircut elsewhere. I doubt I was ever her first client to have ear piercings , there are several others as well. When parting my hair , my ears were exposed so she was able to see them but then after she tugged on me & felt it. Accidents happen , okay & she proceeded to ask on whether or not I had a piercing on the other which I did , she inspected the area & said she'd be careful. She tugged on it again with the comb , at this point it was just frustrating since I had mentioned it. Aside from that, I'm in physical pain. My piercing started bleeding as well. She didn't apologize & proceeded to blame me for choosing to have a helix piercing , claiming that the piercing was too big. She later went on to say she forgot about it right after her tugging on it as well as me mentioning both my ears are pierced. Not a single apology was given to me. Anyone with a helix knows how painful it is for it to get stuck on to something, imagine how painful it is to have a comb being passed through it. My helix's aren't fully healed therefore it is not an option to take them off, she didn't even ask if that was a possibility. The service was paid for but I will not be coming back. read more
