Worst meal I ever had the Falafels were full of oil which I dislike more than anything food so full of oil that I try squeezing it out with napkins, because I was hungry. The falafel must have been reheated from an earlier order dropped back into oil used all day. The exterior was so hard, I peeled off the outer coating which left me with only 1/16 of my order. i order 30 mins before closing time so I guess it did not matter what I was given. My first and last time ever ordering from this place. Was going to return the product, but I don't like arguing with people. Nasty with so much oil the little I did eat upset my stomach. read more

Honestly, I was skeptical about trying this place, perhaps because of their choice of business name and outdated outer restaurant appearance. Since trying it a couple months ago, we've been back about 5x. The food is always fresh, so I don't mind the wait time. I appreciate that they allow me to substitute the rice pilaf for extra salad, and I love the large portion sizes!! Their hummus, garlic sauce & pickled beets perfectly compliment all their dishes!! I am so excited this place opened down the street. I've been twice and both times have exceeded my expectations! Everything on the plate was good! Very high quality and freshly made. Many times I go to a Mediterranean place and I don't like either the tabbouleh, hummus or falafels but I loved all three here as well as the tahini and pita. The staff is also very warm and welcoming and accommodating. They clearly take pride in their business and it shows in the atmosphere and the food. The food is a very good value as well. Really good and worth the wait. Good hummus and great tabouleh, which is hard to find. Had the mixed shawarma and it was delicious. The garlic sauce is sooo good. Tried the falafel and it was different from any I have had before. Very light and fluffy, not firm inside like it usually is. Quite tasty. Definitely will be back although I think I will call ahead to place my order. It took a long time to get my food. Not much atmosphere inside, definitely a takeout place. I'm guessing the chicken must be OK, otherwise they would be out of business. but the beef was dry and chalky tasting. Officially the worst shawarma I've ever had. Maybe it's because it's 8 o'clock at night. Perhaps at lunchtime you might get a decent fresh and juicy beef Shawarma. But at dinner time, I would definitely avoid the beef at the very minimum. the hummus and garlic sauce and salad were fine. I kept on eating the beef thinking the next bite would get better and it never did. It's not terrible, but for $11 for a sandwich fries and a Coke, it should be very tasty and it definitely wasn't even close to tasty. I would have much rather had top Ramen at home. It was so unenjoyable, I'm considering calling them and having them refund the credit card. I would be ashamed serving someone beef that tasted this dry.
