Beef and Chicken Lule Kabob Plate at The Kabob Stand.
Shik P.

First time at The Kabob Stand and thought to try it out, thanks to Yelp location and reviews. We visited on a Thursday afternoon around 2pm. It wasn't busy since lunch time just passed. I'm so glad to have tried The Kabob Stand. It was an easy find with their banner and sign as they are located right by Target on Balboa Blvd. The Kabob stand has plenty of items on their menu. They have a good selection of kabobs and Mediterranean food. Ordered the Beef and Chicken Lule Kabob plate. It came with pita bread, grilled tomato, jalapeno, huge slices of onions, some cilantro and red sauce. The basmati rice was good and it was cooked well. It didn't have butter but they provide butter so you can put as much butter to your liking. The Beef and Chicken Lule were good. The seasoning was just right. The portion sizing of the food was ok. The meat and poultry sizing can be adjusted especially for the price point. Customer service was good as the cook was very nice. We will definitely try other items on their menu.

Not bad. It's a spot with two stands, one for kabob and another for smashburger options. I got the beef and chicken lule plate. It was good. Pricey for what you get though. It comes with pita, rice, tomato, jalapeno and onions. I thought the pita was a tortilla. Or at least it feels and tastes like it. Rice was not cooked with butter but you get a small butter packet to use with it. The cook was nice and there are some seats while you wait.

Great service, quality food, and exceptional prices. My mom ordered the pork bbq plate as well as the beef luleh kabob plate. Both came with rice, grilled veggies, and the works. The meats were made to order and seasoned very well. I believe they also do phone in orders and delivery. Highly recommend if you live in the valley (may also be worth drive if you don't).

$17 combination plate (beef and chicken luleh), amazing

What a gem. Our neighbor had told us about this place and said they go whenever they goto target. Every time I shop at Trader Joe's I can smell the bbq smoke from across the street. So we finally decided to stop by and try out this kabob stand and I'm so glad we did. The luleh here is so good. It's tender, flavorful and it pairs well with the buttery delicious rice, tomato, jalapeno and onion mix. The wrap was massive and husband loved it. Glad we got to try the eggplant dip, which is simply divine. The hummus is probably very popular, but believe me when I say the eggplant is so good. To add, lovely staff too! Can't wait to try their traditional Armenian menudo style soup, it sounds a little hard core but delicious, for that soup it must be called in advance. To my understanding there are a few items that need to be called in advance to make. Plenty of parking nearby. Glad we made it!!!

Well that was delicious and fulfilling. Got back in Granada Hills past 9pm and there aren't many options open outside of fast food, so I thought I'd give the Kabob Stand a try give it already had 5-Star rating. I was able to get a combo Kabob (chicken and beef luleh Kabob) and they were both equally delicious. Each bite was an explosion of flavor and did not taste dry. Some Middle Eastern or Mediterranean restaurants really need the help of the garlic sauce or sumac, but with this Kabob plate, the Kabobs were front and center, and everything else complimented them very well. Being an outdoor pop up restaurant by a busy street, I was initially worried about the cleanliness and exposure to exhaust, but all the food were sealed away and the tarp wall facing the streets help keep the exhaust away. Everyone who touches the food wear gloves, as well. Sanitation is very important. And on top of it, everyone is super friendly and eager to serve a delicious, comfortable food!

Shish kabobs galore!!!!! Wow!!!!!

Great Kabobs and rice. Great staff. Fun and Friendly. Enjoyed the stand environment. Highly recommend... Oh man I ate too much ....

Beef Shish Kabob

Meat portion is extremely small compared to what I paid. This was $25. Too much rice and not enough vegetables and meat. Go somewhere else for authentic kebab.

TERRIBLE - looks way better than it tasted - how do u mess up cooking rice? never again
Gee K.

awful. rice was left soaked in water too long and was starchy. the rice is like 75% of this dish. The saffron rice should have been light, airy, and fluffy. instead it was inedible and I basically had to throw almost the entire plate away and cook my own rice at home instead for the little meat the dish had. regret not just going with my regular go to Persian restaurants. one of those times trying something new bites you in the ass. The meat portions were also tiny. the beef kabob was beef jerky dry. Chicken wasn't seasoned and basically flavorless. found them on DoorDash. got a refund. will never order from them again.

We heard about this Kabob Stand and I have to say, I couldn't believe why no Armenian has done this before. The location is very simple to find, right on Balboa Blvd in front of Shell gas station and Target. The food was great, portion was good, Service is Exceptional with the friendly staff and the warm attention we got from them. They set up a table and 4 chairs for us and gave us the Armenian hospitality. Ambiance is outside sitting on the walk way but we don't mind that. The food was tasty and fresh made with love. We will come back for sure.

The best definitely recommend no matter what

Definitely recommend if your in the Granada hills area check them out there luluh wraps and plates over all everything is amazing don't miss out !

I saw potatoes on your instagram on skewers, when will you have them available again? Definitely loved my food I had there on 01/30/23.

I have ordered those potatoes many times recently. I believe it's on the menu.

We found on Yelp, this restaurant named Lemon Zest. It is a restaurant that is part of small business center but Lemon Zest looks like a stand alone business. The interior was designed so nice with ample seating outside in the patio area and inside. This place is meant to hold large parties. The vibe is so cool for a casual date or dinner and drinks with friends. It is also cool to host a mixer or private party! At 9:15pm we were the only party and our server treated us so well. She didn't rush us but she did check in with us periodically. I wish we got her name so we can properly give her praise. The food was amazing. This is my first time here so I ordered the beef gyro plate and paid extra for loaded Greek fries. The plate was huuuge! Such a generous serving that is enough for two people to eat. The fries were crisp and the toppings worked so well. It complimented the thin, well-seasoned slices of beef. The pita was cut into triangles, making the perfect bite. My friends and I really enjoyed our dinner and promise to comeback!

Most importantly, the food was the greatest ever. My family would have been fine with just the baba ganoush and roasted eggplant-- it was hearty and creamy and garlicky, everything I have ever wanted in a dish. But of course, we ordered the super combo due to our hubris and paid the price (we took a bunch of boxes). They are not kidding when they say the Super Combo feeds 4-5, they must be talking about 4-5 men in their early 20s because it was way too much for us. Assuming you eat all the salad and rice and the bed if bread the meat is served on, I can imagine this feeding more than 5 people. It is truly the most value item on the menu, should you have the personnel to take it on. Highly recommended for anyone who likes mediterranean food! Try the baba ganoush and roasted eggplant!!

Mediterranean food is pretty consistent (ie the same) for my tastes wherever I get it so I was pleasantly surprised by a few elements of Pi. The pies, for example...I tried the Zaatar pie...honestly it was not much more then a thick, airy, freshly made pita with Zataar and olive oil on it...but it's sometimes the simplest things which delight. The Zaatar pie delighted. I tried the Lebanese red wine (I mean, when in a Lebanese restaurant, why not?) And it stood up to any red I'd had anywhere else. The Tabouleh (one of my Mediterranean standards) was fresh made, filling, and a nice companion to the heavier Zaatar pie. It was awfully nice, and unexpected, to get complimentary baklava at the end of the meal...2 generous sized pieces which were pretty indulgent and eliminated the need to get (and pay for) dessert there or anywhere else. Service was lovely...the manager or owner took care of us and made us feel he was truly grateful that we were there. It's also a hookah spot...so if you're not into that vibe or smoke of any kind, (I'm not really) you'll definitely smell that anywhere you are in the restaurant, even if you're not seated next to those using hookahs. If you've got a hankering for Mediterranean...especially a place that has some unique things not at other Mediterranean spots, definitely give Pi on Sunset a shot.

The fries were even worse, they tasted stale, like they were at least a day or two old, and had that chewy, reheated texture instead of being crispy.
