    Chicken shawarma.
    Dennis L.

I tried out their chicken shawarma. It was pretty good. The chicken was great. It's not the best I've had and it is not the worst. I would say it is better than most. I can't give it a higer rating because I had another chicken shawarma from a different place the very next day and that was a lot more memorable.

Run don't walk to Grillo on Reseda Blvd for some delicious juicy yummy affordable food. I ordered a chicken Shawarma , probably the juiciest tastiest one I've ever had and it's huge , I ordered 2 Kibbe - amazing and fresh! A spinach pie triangle and a meat pie - does not disappoint . Generous portions affordable food go check them out - I know I will be back again and and again . Lots of spacious seating inside park in the back - Oh and friendly quick customer service with a smile!

    Chicken Shawarma Wrap

My husband and I were in the area around Reseda and Roscoe and had time to kill before my appointment. I found Grillo's on Google Maps and decided to try this place out. There was no one in the restaurant when we arrived. It was nicely decorated with Arabic music playing on one of the tv's. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap. My husband ordered the chicken shawarma loaded fries. The wait was bit longer than I expected. If you are pressed for time you may need to order ahead. Both the wrap and the loaded fries were huge. That's great when you haven't eaten all morning. That's the only way I even got through half of the wrap. My husband barely got through of the loaded fries. And I helped with some of the fries. Getting a lot of food for the money is terrific but I was more interested in how the food tasted. In my humble opinion the food was absolutely delicious. The char on the meat along with the seasonings was amazing. The sauce on the loaded fries made these the best loaded fries I've ever had. I can't wait to return. If you live or work in the area please try them out. You won't regret it. I don't live nearby and I definitely want this place to be there when I'm back in the vicinity.

Just so happen to be sitting across the street drinking a Four Loko and I saw the sign lit up and decided to try some kebabs. Turns out it was a good decision. I got the beef kebab dinner plate with french fries and hummus. Serve with naan bread. I imagine the hummus was amazing. None was perfect. The french fries were crispy and delicious service was immediate cause nobody else was in there. It was about 10 minutes until closing and I kept them open past hours but I tip well so it was OK. I had a couple of sauces on the tray and the dark one was hot and delicious. I had a spice to the meat. I ended up eating all of the naan bread and dip my fries, the hummus. It was so good. I'll go back next time. I got a hankering for some kebabs.

    Chicken Lule Kabob Plate

Grilled chicken was good, the ground chicken kebab was a bit tough like it was made prior and reheated. The biggest detractor was the Toum garlic sauce was very flavorless and close to just a mayonnaise flavor wise. Also the eurobeat trance was a bit much at 100% volume lol.

Under new management I think. Family run business that serves great food and portions. Freshly made to order and got some great offers. All meat is halal. Great find for authentic swarma and kabobs and much more

Big Ajarski with fresh eggs and cheese, super yummy and fine quality Dough not hard on the teeth, affordable $4.99

Wow!! Excellent reasonably priced food and bakery , with fine quality. If you haven't been to this restaurant, definitely, I recommend it. Really cheap. There's no need to go to Anaheim anymore and drive all the way to get a similar quality, this is even a finer quality. I was fascinated by our order, so I ordered more Ajraski and mna'eesh zataar to go. Can't beat up the price. Great breakfast, snacks, air lunch for the kids. Our order Came with a generous cheese bakery, really fine quality. The samoosik/samosa was genoursly filled with fine quality clean halal meat, so you don't have to worry about the viruses that coming up often and all of that hormone treatment. The Cauliflower plate with Middle Eastern salad was done at its best! Over all it is the best of the best quality at an affordable prices

    Loaded fries

Excellent authentic food and wonderful service. Everything was delicious. The portions were shockingly large too considering the affordable pricing. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

My favorites are their kabobs and different modifications (think sour berries) of generous amounts of basmati rice that accompany their entrees. The Mast O' Mooseer (yoghurt with shallots) is another of my must haves. Generally, I always get the koobideh kabob to go, but this time, I was in the mood to sit down and have some chunks of meat. I chose the Shish Kabob, which is advertised as grilled filet mignon pieces. The restaurant prepares it medium well and past experience revealed it to be dry and tough. So I asked for it medium rare, for the first time. The dish that came to my table had marvelous optics. The beef was well charred, had an intoxicating aroma and well distributed coloring amongst the seven generous pieces. But there were a few problems. For one, I could not comfortably cut into the beef without using excess force, and shredding it. I asked for a sharper (steak) knife and was told that was all they had. While the meat was juicy, it was extremely chewy. I even questioned whether it was filet mignon, because it did not look and behave like it. I was told it was. If that was the case, could it have been a bad cut? This substantiates why I am leery about ordering meat pieces. Amongst the other items, the thick creamy yoghurt did not disappoint. Same with the grilled onion and tomato. The saffron rice is always fluffy and abundant. The green salad was crisp and refreshing. Take home message? Looks like I will have to skip the Shish Kabob and stick only with the koobideh, if I am ever in the mood for skewered grilled beef.

Service was lovely and we met George and his family, who were so very nice and welcoming. To have dinner at a family establishment is heart felt and nostalgic, because I grew up in a restaurant environment. George's mother in law came over to us and gave us fresh made cookie biscuits to try as dessert. We couldn't stop thanking them for the entire dining experience. It's a mom and pop shop. I prefer pita sandwiches that are cut open and stuffed, rather than rolled up like a burrito the way they do here; the latter compresses everything together into a mush and can drip the contents out the back end, which is exactly what happened when I tried eating this one. This would matter less if the felafel were really good, but these were almost completely tasteless and mushy, no nice crisp exterior. In fact, they were falling apart as I was eating. The hummus was okay. Not bad, but nothing special. And the pita bread they included with it was cold, not warm and fresh. Maybe there are other items on the menu that justify the five star reviews. But the felafel and hummus certainly do not, and I'm not sure I'd want to experiment further.

A multicultural experience :). So what do you order when you come here? I came here for a carry out and it had to be their beef koobideh. It came with a choice of salad (Greek in my case), basmati rice, two skewers of kabob, grilled onions, tomato, jalapeno and a small container of tzatziki. For a starter, I selected a bowl of the green lentil soup that came accompanied with two small pieces of grilled artisan bread. This soup was fantastic in both flavor, freshness and taste. Most Mediterranean soups have too much lemon, imparting acidity to the dish. Here, if it was there, it was very slight, hardly noticeable. I consider this pivotal, because now you get to actually taste the depth of the lentils. As for the kabobs, it was a generous portion. They were moist, tasty, optimally spiced and with satisfying texture. The Tzatziki was superb. This eatery touts themselves as a scratch kitchen, for the food that is served daily to their customers.
