Food was good. Ordered a chicken Greek salad. However, the service is why this didn't get a higher rating. I've been coming here for at least 8 years... always enjoyed it. The person taking my order, I am now realizing it was the Manager, was so rude it almost made me want to cancel my order all together. He took my order and I realized he did not hear me order a drink with my meal. I asked him if there was a drink in my order as I noticed he didn't hand me a cup. He looked slightly annoyed and asked if I had a dollar to pay for it. I said no but Me trying to make it easier than charging me just 1 dollar, offered to order a falafel or something. When I said "I can get something else too " he looked at me and gave the biggest annoyed sigh. I was so taken aback... I didn't say a thing because I wanted to enjoy my food and go about my day. But realizing he's the manager irked me.. I never write reviews like these because I know running a business is hard. It has been a while since I've ordered from Jeje's.... like 3+ years. From what I remembered before, everything tasted great... this time, it was just ehhh. I ordered a family meal and what I got seemed only enough to feed 2-3 people. The beef luleh was very dry, chewy and a bit small as you can see in comparison to the size of the Roma tomatoes and you only get 5 pieces of chicken. The chicken did have flavor and was moist. The tray was mostly filled with rice that didn't have any flavor. I wished I took a photo of the side salad because the diced tomatoes and cucumbers were like mush. Not sure I would give it a try again. Overall, the restaurant is clean and service was friendly. I hope this is a one off for them. read more

Ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate for take out and it traveled well home. When I walked into the place, it was empty. No one was there, not even an employee to greet me so I just picked up my food and left. I found the chicken to be a little on the dry side, but I really enjoyed the rice. The hummus and the sauces were just OK in my opinion. The garlic sauce was really creamy but didn't have a super strong garlic flavor at all. I enjoyed the pita bread which was very soft and tasted freshly made. I'm glad I tried Jeje, but I didn't finish my meal thinking "wow, I can't wait to eat here again". I came here today to grab some lunch, I thought it was my first time here but I saw that I came when it was during covid lockdown from my past teview. How time flies by and I don't know how I forgot but it happens. When I came today, I found parking easily in the front of the place and they were not busy at all. I was the only customer inside so I decided to just dine in. I placed my order through the tablet, I got the classic wrap with chicken kebab white meat. I wanted to do the beef kebab or lube kebab but I saw it was additional so I stuck with the chicken. If you do the combo that comes with fries and a drink then it's about the same price if you just get the fries so I got a combo. For my drink, I went with a can of Pepsi. The man working today, I think was the owner is very nice. He made my wrap quick and had small chat with me. He told me how long the store been there and asked if I was local to the area. The lady who was sitting there, I think also works there too because she told me if I had Instagram then I should follow their page for their promos. I like the classic wrapped with chicken and the sauce they had on the side. My fries were seasoned perfectly too so I enjoyed my lunch. I would come back again in the future. read more

"When I picked up our takeout order, the restaurant was quiet, and the food was prepared quickly, which gave me hope for a fresh and well-made meal. However, this was not the case. We ordered a shawarma wrap and a chicken kabob wrap, both on pita. What we received, however, was neither a proper wrap nor fresh. The pita was soggy, and the lettuce was wilted and old. As my son put it, "If I wanted a taco, I would have gone to a Mexican restaurant." The large seasoned fries we ordered were over-salted and so hard that we had to throw them out, which is frustrating given the cost. My husband ordered the shawarma plate, and while he usually eats just about anything without complaint, even he struggled with it, which says a lot about the quality. Used to enjoy this place. We ordered a bunch of family meals for a party this past weekend. We found out the hard way that they switched the rice from long grain, jasmine style rice, to a cheaper, short grain rice. The rice was mushy, sticky, and lacking in flavor. One of the workers confirmed this will be the new rice from now on. My friend said the falafel was twice the size last week and appeared to have been cut in half on this order. The garlic sauce was watered down too. I understand they're trying to cut costs, but I don't think we will be back since they compromised quality because of that. read more

Didn't taste authentic at all. I haven't been there for two years and I step in yesterday on 02/09/24 and the menu remains the same. I ordered a combo plate and nothing taste fresh. The portions are small but the taste of the chicken was good. I give that a sold 5 stars. The beef reminded me of sausage links. I should have paid for steak. The steak looked good in the photo. The beef didn't taste bad so I'd also give it a 4/5. The rice is so boring and the salad didn't make me want to take more than 3 bites. It went straight to the trash. It was time to try a new place for Mediterranean food. JeJe's is advertised as having halal meat and also serving Kebabs. It is a fast food eatery that got a steady stream of foot traffic when I was there. I ordered the Beef Lule Kebab bowl. It came with lots of rice, cabbage and peppers. I was told the wait would be about 20 minutes. The food was brought to me earlier than that, even though they were busy with carry out orders. There were three small size kebabs in my dish and they had a charred fragrance and tasted good. Slightly dry, but with good flavor. It blended well with the cabbage. On a Sunday evening, we ordered a chicken shwarma bowl and a steak plate. I'm not going to bury the lead... The garlic sauce was delicious. It is not pure garlic and lemon but has some yougrt with plenty of garlic. It's even better than their larger competition. The bowl was a decent size, and the chicken was slightly dry, but the tahini sauce helped. I have no problem not coming back there's plenty of Mediterranean places in the San Fernando valley that will be happy to make food the correct way the first time around or correct any issues without any attitudes or rudeness to their loyal customers. Food was a little on the cold side, but I will just chaulk that up to getting it as take out vs Dine In. They require proof of vaccination if you are dining in, or you can do a pick up order. They offer: -Beef Lule (which is similar to a beef kofta) -Chicken Schwarma -Chicken Tenderloin -Beef Gyro Meat -Beef Schwarma You can get it as a plate, bowl or salad. The plates come with pita, salad, rice and your protein. Bowl is rice with a protein and a salad The salad is just protein on a bed of lettuce. I like that you can sort of mix and match. I got the Beef Lule Salad $14.99 -Salad choice was a Greek salad (you can do a Cesar or green as well) -Beef Lule was my protein and I also added an additional Chicken Skewer for $2.50 Delecious! Meats were so tender and flavorful. The dressing that came with the salad was OK, but the meat and the garlic sauce ($4.99 for a large) was the star!! They also offer seasoned fries which were a hit with the group. Yummy warm fluffy pita, their basmati rice was good and their family meals is so much food! We had 10 people and that was plenty.
