Note: Wine tasting cost is per person (not pay for 1 person and share) and it is for 7 tastes with a take home glass. So select your wines wisely... and rank them to see if there is any of them you would like to purchase. We also added a couple of chocolate bonbons to wash the the wine tastings down with. Tried a variety of red, rose, fruit, dry.... and ended up purchasing 2 bottles to bring home - Celebratory Red and Ruby Red, which we rated best of all the ones we tastes. It did take awhile to select and get our tastings but have to be a little patience given timing and the crowd. Looking to come back again next time in town. Cheers!

The women who run it are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about their wines and will even give you a taste before you order a glass. That is if you don't want the wine tasting option. You can sit outside in Adirondack chairs or inside, to look out at the woods and listen to the music. My preference is always outside!!! I mean it's beautiful and I can only imagine how amazing it would be in the Fall with all the colored leaves. They have limited food/ snack options which I thought were tasty . We had the crackers and olives which were perfect to snack on. I would recommend going. It's a wonderful relaxing afternoon.

We really liked the 2023 Louise and 2022 Marquette. In fact, the Marquette was the best of the bunch from my point of view. The ciders were both really sweet, but the Eden Angeljus was pretty good and reminiscent of Mead. The Riesling was also a favorite. We got a cheeseboard for two, and that was freaking delicious. It came with a maple cranberry preserve that was out of this world. But the cheese, and even the crackers, were exceptionally good, too. Beyond that, the service was exemplary. Ruby in particular was a joy to talk to and quite good at her job. Finally, the live music they had playing was surprisingly good. I did not expect that kind of quality on a random Saturday in May. However the glasses didn't have lines on them and the pours we got were significantly less than the couple next to us who were served by a different person. As far as the wines, they had a variety of sweet and dry, red and white, but I didn't find any that I loved. If I lived in the area I would definitely come back for the atmosphere, since this seems like a great space for events, or with friends since they have a large selection of wines. The bar tender, Noah, was impressive and friendly in that he knew his liquor stock very well, and could explain the flavor intricacies of the various types of bourbon, vodka, and gins. They also offer some non,-alcoholic beverages for the "designated driver" of the group too. We watched Noah make everything from regular and "dirty martinis" with fresh ingredients, as well as one drink where he used a butane lighter and some tiny cedar chips in a straining tool above the drink to give it a fresh, authentic smoky look and flavor. Noah knows his stuff!!!!! The patrons were friendly, diverse, and easy to socialize with if you chose to do so. The establishment is pet friendly for "socialized pets" with a water bowl outside the establishment and some free Milkbone treats inside. Keep in mind that this establishment is a "tasting room" with the majority of products from the New Scotland Distillery, but there are other options. Just don't expect to get a Bud Light Draft or food here. The only downside is that parking in the Lark Steet and State Street location is difficult to obtain without some effort, but we managed to park our vehicles 2 blocks away. This is not a direct criticism of the establishment because the experience is well worth this minor potential inconvenience. We would definitely go back there again, especially for the specialty drinks or the flights and half flights of their bourbon and vodka products.
