This is my third visit and I have decided on the same person Ms Margarita whose attention to detail while doing my pedicure was OUTSTANDING!!! The last time I came just as they were closing and they took me!! My lady only does mani pedi but if I tell you I'll throw away the tips for her. It's not easy to find a local place or a regular woman and I learned today that she as popular and it's plain to see. As far as the whole place.... Saw all the negative reviews but came here anyway because people tend to only write the negative but not the positive. $30 is the starting price for a gel filling. Price goes up by the length of the nail. The guy who did my nails took his time and even re-filed where I asked him to. He made sure I was satisfied. Even gave me a hand massage when I left. Overall I am satisfied with my experience and am hopeful that my nails last ie polish doesn't chip, nail doesn't easily break, etc. I even got my eyebrows done and they look good. Plenty of space, fair environment could use a spring refresh. But dont expect to be greeted. This place lacks charm but they get to business. This is great on a weekday for a good pedicure. Do not go on Saturday in the summer. The manicure and tips section in the front is always bustling. My main review is pedicures in the back. They would get more stars but, the customer service is lacking. I would say I've had 2 and experoemces where the work was not to my liking. But I usually love my pedicure a d manicure. I typically get ingrown nails so I asked the technician to cut them. This women began digging! I expressed that it hurt but she told me she was almost finished. She placed the callus remover in my cut cuticle area causing it to burn! I expressed this to my technician who was too busy in conversation to actually acknowledge what it was I was saying . I had to express for a second time that it was burning and that's when she finally wiped it off. Once she began painting my toes she finally saw the damage she had done ! Timmy is really easy to work with, especially when I have specific ideas, he's able to bring them to life. Prices here are extremely reasonable in my opinion, considering the work that I usually get done as well. The shop is easily accessible by J, E or F trains on sutphin, not to mention multiple buses which are on route too. This used to be my go to nail salon until my nail tech Nick left, he was the kindest most talented guy. Other then that the other techs are just bad to nasty. The Asian lady with glasses charged me $30 for a very bad sloppy fill in. The nerve. Mind you I have medium length nails. She says they are charging me $10 extra for long nails... what?!? After her I decided to try one more time with this guy Timmy because I hear he is good but he is average at best, so I waited more than an hour for him. Was not worth the wait. He did ok and was rude when I accidentally bumped into a fan, he told me " I don't got time for this" no personality and cold. They pick and choose who to charge more here, if they remotely think you have more money they will upcharge $5-$10 using "long nails" as an excuse to charge you. Wash charged 60 bucks for a mediocre pedicure. I'm a guy I like woman to do my feet. And even though we had an appt. They still didn't have more than one female there. And she started to do my feet clipped 2 toe nails and decided to give it to a guy for some reason. I get pedicures for relaxation and to take care of my feet. But I couldn't relax at all. Maybe this is no big deal to you. But for those that it is a big deal. They don't seem to care about that. Then they charge an arm and a leg for their services. Which I don't mind as long as I like getting my feet there. No more and my wife goes were I want to go so they lost her too. So let me start off with the fact I had a rude lady. I feel like she didn't want to do her job she was lazy! I wish I got her name but she was Hispanic and had a burgundy Calvin Klein sweater. I choose a color and she picked the wrong one so I told her I wanted this specific color so she rolled her eyes and sighed. I was in desperate need to get my nails done for my cousin's wedding and I happened to be in the area. The place seemed so SUS when I was walking in, so I brought my brother, aunt, and mom with me lol! The reviews were great on Yelp so I had to try this place. Honestly, I'm so glad I did! I never had gotten gel nails before going here but I heard they last a long time. So I walked in and was paired with some random lady (the place was quite large for a nail salon and there were so many nail stylists just sitting idle. Perhaps I went on a slow day but I really loved the lady I got! She did such a good job on my nails and it was so freakinnnn cheap! I usually go to Image Nail Salon in Bayside but the prices at Crazy Nails are so inexpensive and affordable!! I got a full set of fake nails for a french manicure with three rhinestones on each finger and got the UV gel treatment. Needless to say, my nails came out so ghetto fabulous and I got so many compliments! The details were spot on and my manicurist was such a little sweetheart. The total price came out to $40: $25 for a full set of french tips $5 to upgrade it to UV gel $1 for every three rhinestones (I got three on each finger so $10 total for 10 fingers) My nails lasted about a month and a half and only 2 rhinestones fell out by the third week. As great as the job was, this place receives four stars because it was sus looking/unwelcoming, a bit unclean, and the stench of chemicals was so strong ): But I'll definitely be going back for their prices, quality, and service! The only thing I could say that was good about this place was the prices and the lady that did my pedicure. As far as nails stay away or make sure you don't get the lady that I got. She was older Asian lady, move slow like molasses and wasn't even good. It took her about 2 hours to do a gel fill plus towards the end she put a gel top coat which I didn't request and since they were close cause all the lights were off except for one, my nails didn't dry properly and came out looking a mess. They have this free hand design deal that this guy does for you. What a waste because only designs he could do was the throwback 90's designs for older people. Let just say I use to love going to this place and getting my nails done by Timmy that is up until he broke 2 of my nails while doing a fill in and tried to charge me for it. Then sat there and lied about it. I cursed him hurt out something bad. So I stop going there for awhile. Fast forward to today I go in there and he has someone and the chair , he tells me go do the pedicure first this is at 3:19 pm , I do my pedicure which took an hour so when I go back to him at 4:25 pm he just started someone else .... totally unprofessional but I waited so then when he finishes at 5:15 pm he goes and takes the girl next to me so I'm like no I been waiting and he like oh she called me earlier so now you know I go in telling him how unprofessional that Is and how he should of told me that when I came and why have me waiting an hour after I did my pedicure. I hate that I don't get consistent work or service here. The fact that it is a toss-up made me stop coming. Sometimes I get exactly what I want, but other times it's EH. The pricing is way affordable, but you are definitely trading in some quality which is expected. I've gotten regular polish, with their "uv gel" clear top coat (which they offered me) at least two times. But definitely nothing like getting gel polish. My nails started forming air bubbles between the color and top coat, within days. I'm a bartender, so I'm constantly getting my hands dirty and washing them a lot so not sure if other people have experienced this. The guy named "HOW" did my nails and it was like he was struggling through the whole thing. Did my nails lopsided and took almost and hour just to attempt to fix the shape.
