Fusilli pasta in crazy fromage (alfredo) sauce. Tap beer.
    Teem H.

I love me some carbs, especially pasta. I mean, I travelled to Italy last year for pasta. So when I read up on this place in the Latin Quarter I was stoked. The set up (personalized fast takeaway pasta where you choose the noodles, the sauce, etc.) was very similar to a lovely restaurant (Dal Moro's) that I visited in Venice last year - so I was anticipating the best customer service, wonderful freshly made pasta, and some banging good sauce. I was the only customer there when I walked in. The owner was there chatting it up with two other employees. As some of the reviews mentioned, Guillaume was kind with his greeting and his English was just okay. He asked where I was from and how I liked Paris/Europe so far, etc. I appreciated the conversation starting, but he didn't seem genuine and felt semi-interested. I chose the fusilli pasta with the crazy fromage sauce (aka alfredo/cream) and whatever beer they had on tap. As Guillaume was preparing my food, the bartender handed me this lukewarm beer. Wish it was colder...As my pasta was being assembledby Guillaume, I started chatting it up with him. Turns out they don't make their pasta fresh as the other reviews had mentioned. He explicitly told me the pasta wasn't fresh but that their sauces were made from scratch. He was nice enough to top it off by loading three different kinds of cheeses. Aesthetically, it comes in a Chinese takeout-style foldable cardboard box that has orange Crazy Pasta graphics printed on it. Taste-wise, the noodles were cooked to the perfect soft/al dente texture. The sauce was really good too! Cheesy and garlicky. Overall it was pretty good. Something I would get after a night of drinking. I think the reviews overly hyped it up for me though. The service was okay, the pasta wasn't fresh, and it was definitely NOT like the Noodles and Company chain in the US like others noted (I am from The States and frequent Noodles & Co. quite often, the food and atmosphere are totally different).

Wonderful place, awesome service, yummy food! And it's right down the street from where we're staying. Guillaume is a great host! Thank you!

Open kitchen concept where you can see the chefs happily cooking or cooking all stressed out lol. Our server was Izaya very friendly, well spoken and caring. He ensured our allergies were taken care of. He was fast with his service and continuously checked up on us to ensure we had everything we needed. Now food, mama Margherita pizza was freshly made so you have to really wait it out before taking a bite to ensure you don't burn your mouth. Pizza was evenly baked and crust was even yummy. Mozzarella cheese bites were the winner of the evening. So good the crumbs that covered the cheese were just wow. So tasty we ordered 3 servings of it. We ordered a small salad which was a generous portion for all of us. Good variety of wine list and very reasonably priced. Tiramisu was one of the dessert options and every bite met all our expectations. Overall great experience here they do squeeze a lot of people in there so you could be elbowing your neighbor on another table.

Both were a bit bland and could've used more seasonings. The drinks were delicious and tiramisu was the star of the show for sure! Definitely any of the big mamma restaurants are mostly for tourists and wouldn't try the others.

Welcome Switch fans, to the long awaited next installment in the Reggie Reviews series. Today I am…read morereviewing The Gemini Restaurant in Paris, France! The story goes that I and the rest of my Nintendo of America colleagues had just finished up a very exciting business conference with our friends over at Nintendo of Europe. After wrap up, we decided to take a small tour around the lovely city of Paris. I, of course, took note of all of the similarities between the real Paris and the version seen in the Mario Kart Tour mobile game. I have to say, Nintendo hits it out of the park once again. We then decided to stop inside the Gemini, since that seemed to be the only restaurant name that I could pronounce. I decided to order the Truffle Pizza, and since I am from New York, I love a good pizza. The first bite and it was already heaven on earth! Truly authentic French food being served at this wonderful establishment. I am also very glad that the waiters entertained my shenanigans when asking them what they thought about Mother 3. I had a good laugh after they didn't even know what I was talking about. Excellent service, great food, and an overall fantstic time for any Nintendo fan wanting to stop in and admire the beautiful jungles of France. Also, don't forget to check out Pikmin 4, which lands in stores July 21st. Thank you for reading this highly anticipated Reggie Review, and I will see you all another time, Switch fans!

Just finished a long bike ride to the Eiffel Tower and worked up an appetite. Decided to go straight to the main course. They are known for Au Gratins. My son is not a cheese fan so he opted for the norvigene (smoked salmon in dill lemon and EVOO. I decided to stick with the house specialty; Landais Au Gratin (cream potatoes, duck breast and emmental cheese). The 2 German girls beside me ordered a cider with both their meals so I followed their lead. When in Paris...... Considering the temperature, I almost second-guess myself and ordered something other than their house specialty of au gratin potatoes. In the end, I was very glad I overruled that thought. Brody enjoyed his meal. He just appeared to still be hungry when it was done and a 16 year-old boy that normally has a high caloric intake, I can understand why he wanted a second meal after eating his first! The restaurant in the patio were quite crowded even though we had reservations. They still sat us within five minutes of arrival. Not that five minutes is a long time to wait, but it was still worth the wait as good as the food tasted. We both enjoyed our meals.
