Came here a few times. The staff always seemed depressed and burnt out. Then it made sense one day. My friend brought in a service dog and the manager interrogated them on the spot about why they should have one and embarrassed us in front of everyone. She was rude to her subordinates barking orders. She treated us like her subordinates too. Thanks to that hostile b*tch manager I won't be coming back. Screw this place. read more

This was probably my most disappointing sushi experience ever, and yes, it was takeout. I ordered two rolls and a piece of sushi. I will admit, I had high expectations because of the reviews. Living in LA, I am learning the hard way that reviews are not always the move. I eat a lot of sushi, from cheap spots to high-end places, so I know what I am talking about. One roll I always order no matter what is the volcano roll. If it is on the menu, I am getting it. Unfortunately, this was the worst volcano roll I have ever had. The portion was basically a four-piece cut in half and it was almost twenty dollars. The inside tasted extremely fishy and just cheap overall. Maybe it was an off day, but it was not good. I also ordered salmon belly sushi, and this is where the quality really showed. It had a bad aftertaste I have only experienced at very low-end sushi spots. That was a big red flag for me. The Blossom roll was fine. Not terrible, not great. It just made me regret spending the money when I could have gone somewhere else. Since this was takeout, I cannot speak on the dine-in experience, but based on the food alone, I would not come back. read more

This is one of my OG sushi spots from when I first moved to Hollywood years ago. Their menu has evolved overtime, and I hadn't been by in a while so it was WAAAYYY overdue. FOOD I ordered the Captain America which has some of my favorites in it sushiwise including crawfish and eel. My server did give me a heads up there was spicy tuna inside which turned out to be fairly mild. I loved the portion size, it was worth the price point for the meal. I'd definitely do it again SERVICE 5/5 Ara was very helpful and greeted me as soon as I came in. Even though I was ordering to go, she offered for me to sit at a table as if I was dining in, which was nice so I could comfortably check out the menu and get a similar experience to dining in. AMBIANCE I hadn't been here in so long I got to checkout their new menu, and the decor was very cute and festive for the holidays. The staff were attentive and happy to help. There was moody lighting and chill music playing. It's a comfortable environment. I'd be happy coming here to meet up with friends or even for a solo date. HONORABLE MENTION There is seating at the sushi bar where you can watch them make the sushi up close. I came in with high expectations, even the ambiance looked good, but unfortunately I left disappointed. A few pieces of fish had a slightly fishy smell instead of the clean, fresh taste I expect from sushi. I eat sushi regularly so it was noticeable. The sushi rice was packed too tightly, making the fish and rice feel disconnected. Some of the fish also had a slightly mushy texture instead of being firm and fresh and I believe they were staying outside a while. The service was friendly, but the quality of the food didn't live up to the price. I don't see myself coming back. There are so many better places than this. read more

We came here on a whim since there was a pop near by! Luckily it wasn't crowded at all and you didn't need a reservation at the time. It's a cute small sushi place with authentic look to it! Amber lighting: my favorite ! They give you complimentary nuts and they do ask if you have any allergies, which I thought was cool. We started off with soju cocktails. I got strawberry and my friend got the berries. It was good. Not too strong $9 I opted for the Fatty toro and Uni don bowl. It was a feast! Can for a birthday lunch and was very impressed with the place! Incredibly attentive servers with a large menu and equally big portion sizes! Everything was made super fresh, and I was incredibly impressed by how thick they sliced the sashimi. The chicken teriyaki was also much higher quality than most places, coming with this beautiful presentation. OOUU they are cheap!!!! Ripping off customers for sauce that should come with your food. I ordered a large salad that came with 1oz of dressing.. every other oz of dressing is $2 !!! Now that's crazy but what is even worst they don't care if the customer is happy and have no compassion if the customer can afford a salad with an extra $6-8 dollars worth of dressing. Literally the dressing & sauce is more expensive than alcohol. Do NOT order delivery from here. I'm so pissed I wasted my money on this. Good sushi but does get very busy which is my only problem (obviously a personal preference and no reflection of the restaurant). If you go on slow times it's totally worth it. Just be prepared to spend a bit of time parking as it is on the busy street front..I recommend parking at the target outdoor mall and walking :) For food: I think the bento box is a great option to try a few different choices on the menu for a good price read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! This has become my go to sushi spot. The sushi is BOGO 1/2 half off (dine in only) so that's what I mainly go for, but they have more than just sushi on their menu. I've been at night plenty of times and I will say make sure you give yourself time to find parking (only street parking) and be prepared to wait if you have a big party as their restaurant isn't very large. I always go in a party of one so I never usually wait. Food is AMAZING!!! During the day, I would say the service is better due to it being slower! The Vegas Roll is so delishhhh along with the Baked Green Mussels and the Crunchy Roll. read more
