It had been a while since my last visit -- and I was pleasantly surprised by how much the place has changed. The interior looks great, and the new ordering process with the self-service kiosk is super smooth. You just order, grab a seat, and wait to be called. We ordered the Bagel Breakfast Sandwich, Everything Croissant, Honey Cream Cold Brew, and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie. I was tempted to try the coffee because it looked so good but decided to stick with the smoothie. Funny enough, while sitting down, one of the staff (possibly the owner) mentioned how great it is to add a cold brew shot to the smoothie. A few moments later, he came out and actually brought one over on the house -- such a kind gesture, and it made the smoothie even better. Overall, great service, welcoming atmosphere, and a much-improved setup since my last visit. Everything ran smoothly from order to pickup. Definitely will be back!

Tried the Spanish Latte and it was pretty good. This location has plenty of parking, indoor and outdoor seating and a fun ambiance. Not sure a fan of the kiosk ordering system since it requires my phone number ... service was quick but lack the personalized feel.

Food is excellent, parking is plentiful, staff is delightful. Pretty and cozy setting if you eat inside. My only observation was that there cushioned area was a bit dinghy on the seats. Ordering is kiosk style which is nice if you want to stop in for a quick to-go order. Came on a Wednesday at lunch and there was no wait. Ordered the Monte Kristo paying and it was ready on about 5 minutes. It was very flavorful. Next time ill try the turkey pesto panino.

Nice little coffee and brunch spot! This was my first time here, and I really enjoyed the jalapeño bagel sandwich, freshly made to order. I also tried the banana nut muffin, and everything was delicious. I ordered a vanilla latte, which had the perfect amount of sweetness. The food menu doesn't offer a ton of options, but everything on it sounded really good. It wasn't overly crowded, which I appreciated. WiFi is available, and the tables are spacious enough to get some work done. I spent a couple of hours here and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The place was clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Great atmosphere. Coffee tastes great Pricing: for large coffee around 7-9$ depending on add ons.. sandwich's run about 6 8-13$ good quality though.. 3 star SOLEY BECAUSE ITS ORDER BY KIOSK! Looks like the world is going digital and NO CASH...

I've been here multiple times and it continues to be one of the best spots for a quick bite and delicious coffee! My go to is the breakfast bagel and the iced Spanish soy latte! Definitely a must try! The staff is all pretty young but all of them are very nice and are patient and they have good music playing all the time.

Came in to have a little lunch and cookies after my daughter's doctor's appointment. The service was excellent and the vibe was nice. Typical coffee shop vibes. Wifi available and comfortable chairs. Not a ton of space but a good little hole in the wall. My wife thought the sandwich was good and my daughter enjoyed the macaron set. Nothing super out of the ordinary. Very consistent.

    Cappuccino to go

Love this spot. Came here with my mom for lunch a while back and today I'm just grabbing breakfast to go. Both times got super friendly, quick service. Food is great, açaí bowl and smoothie and paninis are all well made! Owners are kind and they work hard to make sure it's a lovely atmosphere in here. Check it out!

    Inside

I'll start with the positive I do like their coffee! My go to is a Large SPANISH LATTE oat milk either hot or iced. It's 7 dollars and some change. So more expensive than Starbucks but I like supporting local businesses. This place is in the middle of La mirada residential area and right as the commercial stores start there's BIOLA near by and I think that's who they want as customers the BIOLA students. Now the bad! 1. NO CASH! - like my kid says "it's the big '25 get with the times" I guess. But it's probably because... 2. You have to order on a kiosk! I guess this allows for the staff there to stay in the back preparing an avocado toast and the Spanish latte. And management has one less employee to pay to take orders. The girl that helped me find my item on the kiosk was super nice. Will NOT be coming back unfortunately. There's other coffee spots opening in the same shopping center hopefully they have the staff to TAKE MY MONEY.

Scam menu. Shows meats are included in sandwiches then when you choose to type of meat, theres a 30 cent fee. There is No service only SELF service.

Ambiance: Randomly, I found this place on Google for a quick bite. Decent amount of seating, straightforward menu, and easy to navigate. Service: They were super nice and helpful, attentive and quick with the turnaround. Food: Overall, what I got was ok. My sandwich was really dry and wasn't toasted (I don't think it was supposed to be, but I feel like it should've been). I'd probably go back for another drink, not food.

Cute local cafe. Right by a college (Biola), great place to study and get lunch and a caffeine pick me up. Friendly staff, complimentary WiFi. Indoor and outdoor seating. Busy but not crowded

I think I would rather just not have the avocado in my sandwich not the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd bad avocado I've had in my sandwiches from here unfortunately. Lesson learned. Good coffee though!

    Great honey cream cold brew

Besides that, just the vibe of the place now is very uncomfortable. If anything, I'll just start ordering online/pick up from now on. I'll still have to deal with those type of people and can't change it, but it's better than waiting and being around those type of individuals

This is really just a friendly note to management. The only thing that turned a great experience into an uncomfortable one was the tipping screen. But when the lowest suggested tip starts above and beyond a "normal" amount, it feels less like a suggestion and more like pressure. At 35%, I half expected someone to be outside washing my car while my espresso was pulling. I'd definitely recommend this place for the coffee and pastries. Very Disappointing Experience -- Poor Customer Service…read more A friend of mine came to visit from out of state, and since she had been looking forward to having Korean patbingsu (shaved ice with sweet red beans) while visiting the U.S., we decided to go to Sulbing. We ordered patbingsu, bungeoppang (Korean fish-shaped pastry), and an iced café latte. All three items were placed together on one tray. Before eating, I took a picture to post on Instagram. Then, when I picked up the iced latte to take a sip, the lid came off because it had not been properly secured, and the entire drink spilled all over my clothes. I immediately told the staff that the lid had not been properly closed. Instead of apologizing or offering any help, the employees insisted that they had definitely closed it properly and that they had heard the lid "click." They basically said it was not their fault. What was even more upsetting was that they then walked into the kitchen and left us without offering any assistance at all. We asked for something to clean up the mess, but they told us that the tissues were outside and that it was self-service. They simply handed me a mop and expected me to clean everything myself. I was honestly shocked by the lack of basic courtesy and customer service. I went to the restroom and tried to clean my clothes with water as best I could. When I came back out, I saw the two employees inside the kitchen laughing and chatting together. At that point, I was extremely upset. Despite everything, I stayed because my friend had traveled a long way and had really wanted to try the patbingsu and bungeoppang. We tried to enjoy our food, but the whole experience left a very unpleasant impression. Later, when I looked again at the latte photo I had taken for Instagram before the spill, I could clearly see that the lid was not properly sealed. I don't usually write negative reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that I felt I needed to share it. Mistakes can happen, and I would have understood if the staff had simply apologized and tried to help. What was most upsetting was the attitude afterward -- no apology, no assistance, and no basic courtesy. I will not be returning to this location.

When you get the app, you can also get $5 automatically applied to your first app purchase. If you ever signed up for their rewards program before downloading the app, they import your points from your phone number account :). My only mild complaint is that the timed order- for-later request did not seem to make too big a difference, as my drink was probably ready 25 minutes early. Better early than late, though! Staff were friendly and informative as always. Shop had a few customers seated inside and outside, so there was plenty of room to study or sit a while. It was a bit cold for me, so probably a good place if you want some strong AC. Music seemed like a millenial-pleasing alternative-y mix: good for nondistracting background sound. Honey Bori Latte is one of my favorite seasonals anywhere! Loved it as intended at full sweetness (not too sweet) and still loved it at less sweet (recommend if enjoying with a bread or pastry imo). I like most specialty barley drinks. Default is dairy, so I assume there would still be some even if made with oat milk ($1 extra). I love the crunchy wheat snack topping, and it kind of reminds me of the cocoa puff topping in that black caf latte in Dland/Galaxy's edge. Will be back!

Yet recently I've been coming and truly haven't been enjoying it the same. I used to come and study or work as I enjoyed their drinks and baked goods. The environment is usually buzzing with more people working or studying or groups of people talking. Their pastries are always good and yummy which is a BIG hit. Yet I am a big coffee person, the quality of the coffees and drinks have gone down hill a lot. I would always order the Campfire latte or the Smoking Spaniard latte (when it still had cardamom in it) and would LOVE it. But now when I order drinks, most of them aren't very good or are missing flavors. The Smoking Spaniard is still yummy yet it used to be sooo much better back in the day, now it taste more like a regular spanish latte. I always see the new seasonal drinks and menu and get so excited to try them just incase I find a new favorite. Most of them have been a miss sadly :( The fruit lattes and drinks from their seasonal menu usually has actual chunks of fruit in it which makes it hard to drink and you have to chew while drinking a latte ;( not my fave. I went in yesterday to try their summer '26 seasonal drinks which is Yakult! I was sooo excited. A blueberry Yakult matcha latte! yummy! I got there, got a new earl grey lemon loaf from the bakery, got my blueberry Yakult matcha latte and sat down to try. Sadly, it didn't hit... the blueberries are still super chunky so I had to use 2 different straws because my first one got stuck with blueberries in it. The Yakult foam was really good but the blueberries weren't :( I HIGHLY recommend when making fruit syrups for coffee, boil down the fruit and blend it or strain out the big pieces. I sadly have stopped really coming to Smoking Tiger so often because I haven't been impressed and other coffee shops have been popping up that has better quality now :( Smoking Tiger has been focusing more on quantity of stores rather than quality of their food and drinks.
