I thought my coffee would be right up but it took many minutes. I almost left. The cupcake was small but good (fluffy cake, sugary frosting). Then I noticed the sign that said everything was gluten and dairy-free. Surprise! When the coffee was ready, the cream was put in for me. I guess it was nondairy. The coffee was warm like a keurig makes. I had noticed Lunch menus in a wall pocket and Brunch menus behind the counter. So this place is actually full restaurant for people with gluten and dairy allergies. The lunches all seemed to cost ~$18 and seemed inventive. Fries were available as a specialty. The indoor vathrooms were pretty small, but served the purpose. The music was very good, the sound was loud enough, without blaring out of the speakers. There's a roof over the outside deck, but it's in different sections, so the sun does shine though in areas, making it a little hot when it's hitting you. Our only complaint would be the amount of people that were smoking. There is no way to get away from the cigarette smoke wafting in your face. Other than that, it seems like a great venue to enjoy some live music, a drink and a bite to eat. We definitely plan on going back.

I now know that this unassuming restaurant has some of the friendliest staff and best prepared food in the Utica area. I can't wait to go back. With a full roster of reservations scheduled for their dining room, the four of us walked in and slotted up at the bar for dinner with front row seats to the action in the kitchen. First up: spicy and flavorful Utica greens covered in a healthy sprinkling of cheese. Would order again. After chatting with the owner, we ordered two scallop pasta dishes, a steak sandwich, and chicken Parm (which they were kind enough to make with fra diavolo sauce for my spice lord husband). EVERYTHING was impeccable, and I was honestly tempted to pick up my plate and lick it clean - that's how good the seared scallops over linguine were. Pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was light, well seasoned and well balanced (and not actually on their menu, so bonus points for being willing and able to pull that out on the fly!). We were checking out schools in NE for my daughter and wanted to check out Hamilton and Colgate. Arrived late at hotel and things looked strange with construction. We were tired and hungry and were told restaurant closed at 10, and thought we were too late to eat there, or that if they did serve something they would to it in a hurry; but decided to check it out anyway. Two guys were having beers and talking, otherwise it was empty, and looked to be under construction too. We ordered and I waited while wife and daughter got settled in room -- Food was GREAT -- Fresh and tasty. The wrap sandwich was memorable. Two ladies running the place apparently do catering business too. They were friendly and obviously take pride in their work. We were surprised to have such great food in such an out-of-the way place, at a bad time. They had some good beers on tap too. (motivated to finally write this since had just had a bad experience at restaurant in expensive/fancy hotel back home in CA; and we reflected on how we had such a great experience at this Motel 6, under renovation, in the middle of nowhere).
