My friends and I came to check out the ice cream spot! They were very welcoming and walked us through the process to order. I instantly new what i wanted to order...the signature premium, vanilla bean flavor with brownie bits and chocolate fudge sauce. It was a pretty presentation, but I was expecting my taste buds to explode with the warm brownie bits and cold vanilla ice cream. However, the brownie bits were cold. So disappointing. Great concept and even better ice cream. I love that they make your ice cream on the spot. It takes a good minute for it to be done, but it's worth it. Especially since it's made with liquid nitrogen and you get to watch the vapor flow out of the mixer and trickle off the counter. Very dramatic and a bit euphoric if you stare too long. I also enjoyed the variety. After you select your size, you select your "base" (milk, organic, sorbet, and coconut), then your flavor (which they have dozens of), and then your toppings if you want any. The combinations are endless. The staff is super friendly and willing to walk you through the process if you've never been there before, and the place is clean. It's only downfall is the price. The amount of ice cream you get is so minimal compared to the amount you pay. Expect to dish out ~$10/person, more if you go crazy with the toppings or get a larger size. read more

Leaving from AMC theaters there's a new spot called Creamistry. Ice Cream in December??!! Why not it's still 70 degrees in Texas. The biggest thing I noticed was all those big Nitrogen tanks. So, what's that all about. They used liquid nitrogen to make the ice cream so special. The choices are endless but I'm a plain Jane and opted for Strawberry with fresh bananas. It's intriguing to watch the staff work with the nitrogen. I enjoyed it. It was like your in a science lab and you get to eat the results. Very cute concept where you can watch the ice cream being made along with the cool blast of nitrogen mist while you're waiting for your order. My boyfriend and I came in on July 3rd as the Kaboom town fireworks were going off. There was a lot of people, but that was expected. I didn't know what to order but i just quickly chose the cap'n crunch while my boyfriend chose the fruity pebbles sandwich with cookies and cream ice cream. My cup of ice cream had a large scoop that i had to take to go in the car even after the sandwich was finished in a couple bites. I believe mine costed about $5 while his costed $6. I thought my scoop of cap'n crunch was average, not too special. Took a bite of the fruity pebbles and just was so sweet, but thats what you get when you choose that concoction. Seriously this place is so cool!! I thought it was just a regular ice cream place until I walked inside. I saw all of the mixing machines and a bunch of white smoke everywhere. Who knew they made the ice cream right there in front of you?? I got vanilla with Oreos and reeses and I know this sounds cliche.... but it was so creamy. My boyfriend had the mint chocolate chip and it was amazing too. There's not enough room for seating inside, so be prepared to take it to-go or sit outside. Will definitely be back!! read more

I would give them half a star if I could. I really wonder where the owner and managers are at 8:36pm on a Saturday night when the line is out the door. I live incredibly close and can easily say Saturday night is one of the busiest times for this shop. There's 2 teenage girls working and I highly doubt the kid working the cash register was if legal working age. He looked not a day over 13. Nor did he know how to work the register although I highly doubt that's his fault given he shouldn't be working in the first place because it's ILLEGAL. They were out of 10 ingredients at least and the regular sized cups. There was absolutely no management/ leadership in sight. Terrible. read more

The lady who took my order was extremely helpful, explained the process as it was my first time, shared her faves, and laughed at my jokes. It's the simple things... I ordered Cookies and Cream, with cookie dough pieces, and premium cream (I think that's what it's called. It was the first option and I was told was like regular ice cream). The girl who took my order said this was her favorite. She also mentioned another flavor that tasted like graham crackers. Lots of options. I felt it was a bit expensive, particularly for the large size but that one comes with a free waffle cone thing and I was told it's double the regular size. It didn't look like it just by the cup size. I went with a regular size. I missed the nitrogen step as I was busy chatting and paying for my order. Darn. I thought the actual ice cream was okay; not great. I dislike huge chunks of stuff in my ice cream and felt I would have enjoyed it better had my Oreo pieces been broken up more. By the time I was done eating, I had probably 1/4 of a cup of Oreo pieces leftover. The cookie dough pieces were yummy. I was a tad underwhelmed. Went to check it out with the fam and the ice cream was just as wonderful as I remembered it to be! Let me tell you, I was craaaving a dairy free milkshake. After scouring the internet to find a place, I finally found Creamistry. My best friend and I HAD to go. When we walked in, we weren't even greeted! We witnessed 3 workers huddling around a phone at the counter watching videos on full blast. When we were ready to order, the girlfriend of the guy who was taking care of us came up and possessively wrapped her arms around his waist. It was really uncomfortable and unprofessional. Once I got my receipt, I realized the guy couldn't even spell Mary right... "Merry" Christmas to me I guess? After spending a whopping $11.64 on a dairy free chocolate milkshake with no toppings, I was utterly dismayed to see the ridiculously tiny cup that was given to me! It wasn't even filled to the top! Maybe a 12 oz cup? At Starbucks, at least I know that my $6 is getting me a 30oz quality drink! Not only that, but I couldn't even suck it through the straw. It was the exact same thing as the ice cream my best friend got. What a scam!! Lazy, unprofessional, awful customer service with an overpriced product meant to be deemed worth it because it "looks cool" to make!
