We recently dropped by after having dinner next door. My wife has been wanting to try this place for some time. She loves the ice cream options in Austin and wanted to try this place. I shared the Strawberry Shortcake Parfait with hers. It was delicious. My son had the Dark Chocolate and loved it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere has a hip vibe to it with cool music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is very helpful and will give you samples. The ice cream was delicious. We will definitely come back again.
Although I've heard good things about this place in regards to their unique flavors, this was my first time visiting the store. The guy helping me was very pleasant and helpful. He offered to let me do some sampling, however, one sample and I knew what I wanted. I ended up getting two scoops of the brown butter almond brittle ice cream. It's a little pricey in comparison, but it tasted oh so good. I'll be trying other flavors.

I have compared this to Salt n Straw back in L.A. this is as close as I've come to hold ice cream with unique ingredients. I'm used to having something on the ranks of shiney Lavender and Sea Salt and Caramel Ribbons, but this place was a good start to my ice cream spot back at home. You are allowed to sample and get a small standard size if you don't want large scoops of ice cream. I enjoyed the Gooey Butter Cake. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The line moves rather quickly, the ice cream shop was clean, good music, and the servers were amazing with their recommendations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely be back , I can see this spring and summer being really busy here.

I ended up getting honey vanilla bean, double dough, and bramble berry crisp in a waffle bowl. All the flavors were delicious and the half scoops were perfect for those who want to get ice cream without getting too full (or those who have some room for desserts after eating at the other restaurants in the area). The waffle bowl in particular was a little salty to balance out the sweetness of the ice cream. It was thin and easy to snap off. The cashier lady was extremely bright and energetic too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just an overall great ice cream place with great vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only advice I would give to new customers or those who haven't been here in a while is to go down the line to see the different flavors. Each section and worker helping out different customers largely have the same flavors BUT there are a few flavors that aren't in the section of the person helping you out. Go down the line to see what other flavors Jeni's has because there was one I wanted to try/get near the cash register that wasn't in the cooler at the front of the line next to the waffle station.

Some were overpoweringly sweet, while others aren't while still being flavorful. You can sample any flavor before ordering. The ice cream comes in your choice of waffle cone, waffle bowl, or regular paper bowl. They say "half scoop" on the menu, but their half scoop totally looked like a normal full scoop and then some. I think they call it a "half scoop" to make your conscience feel better. All of their flavors are available to-go in pint sized containers. We ordered the sweet potato marshmallow praline and darkest chocolate flavors in a regular paper bowl. Both turned out pretty good. The former tasted like it had pumpkin spice which was a nice surprise.
LOVELY SERVICE!! We came here for the 1st time, and our group had such a great time! We loved the ice cream! IT WAS SO CREAMY AND LUXURIOUS! The birthday cake was out of this world! My friends all enjoyed their flavors too. The worker helping us was so sweet and was so patient with all our questions! We will be back!
I came in for my birthday ice cream and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Jeni's gives you 3 half scoops, which is really just 3 full scoops. My favorite ever!!! I am a Jeni's Stan. You will not find a better birthday cake ice cream, it's to die for. We couldn't help ourselves but to eat it before taking a pic lol. Even the store bought pints are good! I recommend the birthday cake, honey vanilla bean, and gooey butter cake flavors! Join the rewards system and get free upgrades! :)
Really good ice cream in an adorable shop!!! I've had Jeni's ice cream before from Whole Foods, but this was my first experience in one of their shops. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jeni's has a cute and modern interior, with indoor and outdoor seating in this suburban strip mall. Loved the color scheme and unique interior![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our service was relatively quick, especially given that there was a line. Many creative flavors were on offer, including a rotating seasonal menu. I eventually settled on the Texas Sheet Cake and Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks - both had a great flavor with balanced sweetness. Jeni's ice cream is very thick and dense, creamy without an airy texture. Highly recommend a visit to this ice cream shop!

Came across this ice cream shop while in the area and had to give it a try on a nice sunny day. They offer a wide variety of flavors, including dairy-free and gluten-free options, which is a huge plus. They even have a special collaboration ice cream for the Bridgerton series. I sampled the Queen Charlotte sponge cake, which was incredibly delicious. I decided to go with the seasonal tropical bloom, which was refreshing and incredibly tasty. And of course, I couldn't resist their popular gooey butter cake! Yum! While their prices are slightly higher than regular ice cream shops, I found them to be well worth it. Plus, if you fall in love with one of their flavors, you can take some pints to enjoy later at home. What a unique and enjoyable ice cream experience! I must admit I am not an adventure ice cream flavor person. I prefer classics like Rocky road or vanilla with fruit or fudge on top. But every now and I then I want to be a cool kid and experience the new trendy ice cream. Jeni's is most definitely cool kid ice cream! The most enjoyable aspect is that they allow and welcome you to try the unique flavors. Also, the scoops are smaller so you can enjoy more variety. There is complementary water and plenty of seating. The line was long but moved very swiftly. I highly recommend Jeni's. read more

Two words: Luxury icecream - that's how I would Describe Jeni's! Is it delicious? YES! I sampled a ton of favors before I decided on the brimberry crumble and coffee. IT WAS $20 for two cones. The line to get in is always long, but for a good reason! This ice cream is so good! The staff is great, letting you sample every flavor you would like! I got a bowl and got two scoops, which was delicious. Every flavor was unique and individual! I like that they change flavors constantly as well! I decided to order the new L'Affogato with the seasonal Boozy Eggnog. The eggnog ice cream is spiked with whiskey which tasted well with the L'Affogato's cold brew. Rather than wait for the Boozy Eggnog to melt, I was eating the ice cream with a spoonful of the cold brew. This is the ideal ice cream concoction for the hot Texas summers. As soon as customers exit the air conditioned restaurant into the triple-digit heat, the ice cream will melt into the cold brew in minutes. Rather than use a spoon, customers can drink the ice cream cold brew mixture straight from the cup. read more

Jeni's ice cream is SOO good!! It's my favorite ice cream shop atm and I'm guilty of coming here two days in a row this week.. My top favorites here are brambleberry crisp, brown butter almond brittle, gooey butter cake, and Texas sheet cake - always in a waffle cone! The waffle cones/bowls are made fresh here, they're delicious and you'll smell it right when you walk in. Brambleberry crisp is swirled with blackberry/raspberry jam and it's my go-to at Jeni's, and when I'm feeling indulgent the Texas sheet cake comes with pieces of chocolate cake in the choco ice cream. There are also soo many other delicious & unique flavors at Jeni's, you need to come try it if you haven't yet!! read more

Love this place and I don't have a sweet tooth. They have a great variety but also friendly to different diet restrictions like gluten and dairy. I have lots of flavors to name that are delicious but o suggest you try some when you are there. Oddly I like the lavender ice cream and chocolate. But you can't go Wrong with the coffee flavor. The vanilla is also really good. I likes the lemon one and it was gluten and dairy free. Also they have lots of seasonal flavors, Making you want to come back for more! Great spot for a spontaneous mommy & son date! Was going to get my son ice cream from Shake Shack when I realized this super adorable ice cream shop was right next door. They have a really cute and kid friendly space with indoor and outdoor seating and a structure outside that a bunch of kids were using to climb on and jump off of! My son recently turned two and doesn't quite have the hang of jumping yet but he still really enjoyed himself. The person behind the counter gave an overview of a few flavors and offered samples. Everyone in the store was warm and friendly! My son and I split the smallest size which allows for two flavors! We got the cookies and cream and cinnamon roll- both were delicious! The ice cream flavors are so decadent. I loved the lavender flavor. It has a subtle flavor, perfect for vanilla lovers. They offered samples if you need to try something first. They also have a water station, which I find so helpful! The real star, however, are the waffle cones. They are made fresh and are so delicious. What better way to spend a spring afternoon than getting a taste of Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream? Because of Yelp, I get to try 3 scoops of different flavors before committing on buying a few pints to share with my nieces. I've had Jeni's the first time when Yelp introduced them to me at their location in Deep Ellum. It's wonderful that they now have a new location with easier parking and more accessible especially if you're bringing your whole gang for a quick treat. Ordered their Wildberry Lavender, Brown Butter Almond Brittle(BBAB) and Goat Cheese w/ Red cherries on a waffle bowl. This trio do not complement each other but really, really delightful on their own. While I was enjoying my treat I took a video of all the flavors to tell my sister about it then she asked if I could bring them a pint of their Salty Caramel and BBAB. I was worried because it was rush hour and the pints will melt in the car driving from Addison to Allen. They held up well! The brown paper sack helped with the transport to keep the cold in or maybe, just maybe because of How Jeni's rearranged the ice cream molecules to reach the outmost pleasure for us to enjoy their product. Addison is lucky to have this addition in their backyard. The employees were ver patient with you while you choose from a selection of 12+ flavors. Couldn't have it any other way to end this special Spring Birthday Weekend with a sweet treat on the tip of my tongue like Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams! Yelp and Jeni treated me to three scoops of delectable flavors so I chose: Wildberry Lavender, Brambleberry Crisp, and Goat cheese with Cherries. I know you might think what a combination; they just remind me of my colorful (PISCES) personality! Besides they were playing rainbows with my tastebuds.... I also had a small Buttercrisp Waffle Cone Chip in my bowl. This is the smell that's lingering down the street and arond the corner (I do believe)! The line today was so long people were leaving then changing their mind and doubling back to get back in line. Maybe cause it's Spring Break or maybe cause Jeni's is just that good! There's a nice selection to choose from also some to take home. You can choose a homemade Buttercrisp Waffle Cone or Bowl to enjoy your treat. There's also t-shirts and cookbooks to purchase. I just loved the layout. It's small but colorful, clean, and smell oh so good! The customer service was absolutely outstanding as well! Who doesn't love ice cream?!?! I am excited that Jeni's expanded in the dfw area with better parking and seating! A friend of mine got me addicted to this ice cream place as soon she told me they opened in deep ellum. So to find out they made one in Addison, I had to go check it out and I was not disappointed. Ice Cream: - BrambleBerry Crisp: Tasted like a good mix of blackberry and hint of something else. It is not overly sweet. So it's a perfect for someone who wants a fruity taste but not tart. - Wild berry Lavender: I am a sucker for a good Lavender ice cream. Although I wouldn't say this is my favorite lavender ice cream. It is still amazing and tastes wonderful. Like the brambleberry, it is not tart. However it does have a bit more sweet taste to it. - Brown Butter Almond Brittle: This is how it sounds and you will not be disappointed. Probably one of top flavors at Jeni's! I highly recommend this spot, as it is my favorite ice cream spot to go to in Dallas! 10/10! Go check out Jeni's in Addison!!! You won't regret it! read more
