This is a cool ice cream concept - you can either order a set ice cream or custom design what you want. Then they make it on the spot. At the counter, you ask for what you want including any adds, substitutions or omissions. They have both dairy and nondairy (oatmeal, coconut milk) bases and a variety of toppings and inclusions. There is also the option for a cup or cone as well as how many scoops you want. Then the mix is placed into a creamery and -321 degree nitrogen is used to turn it into a soft and creamy ice cream. When there isn't a line, the wait is just a couple of minutes - the time is takes to mix and process through the machine. The decor is very simple, bright and white giving a very modern feel. It is spacious enough for a small groups of friends to gather for desert. Probably well worth the time to check it out. read more

Came back to get another afogatto. It's very tasty. I love coffee so this is the perfect dessert for me. My son ordered the ice cream sandwich which is a huge portion of ice cream in between two big pieces of brownie. Delicious!!! I like the fact that you can choose what base to have. For those lactose intolerant, this is a great way to enjoy ice cream. Service was fast and super friendly and we had the place to ourselves this time, do it was a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon with a tasty treat to end the day! read more

It is pricey but pretty good once you accept it for what it is. The time I went I didn't receive what I thought I ordered. Instead it was ice cream and I was expecting a shake. My fault for not indicating but I also think it should have been asked since the picture is both the ice cream and the shake right behind it. When received it and ask I was hit with it "yup that's what it is." No big deal there. I had to knock another star off because the person serving wasn't wearing gloves or an apron while the other workers were. It's worth a try on a date night or if you're looking to try something new. Just keep in mind to make it clear if you want the ice cream or a shake version of the same flavor. read more

It's still really expensive but they were very nice to my kids and they enjoyed the experience. The ice cream is very delicious with a lovely texture. It's good for a once in awhile treat. We got friendly and kind service, I will say they were an older couple and English was not their first language but I didn't think that was such a big deal. read more

I wish I could upload a video bc it would sum this place getting 5 stars up. We drive 20 minutes to come here. I met someone who told me they're like one of the few places with real ice cream here. (Also learned about polar bears and penguins shout out to mom of the year of you see this) My son would give this to outerspace stars ( his words) It's a little pricey but it's a show for kids too so it's worth it. This place was very empty coming in. Tons of options for ice cream and mix in. The price of the ice cream and how small it was will left you questions yourself. A small is about 10 dollars. A shake is 11 and it only 10oz. Probably best to go to ikea for an ice cream cone and save you the money. read more

My family and I stopped by while traveling through the area and we were really impressed with this place. My kids loved their sweets that they ordered and loved watching the process! My friend and I stopped at Creamistry for an evening treat. We walked in and found a large rectangular room with tables on the left and a long counter on the right. There, the icy treats are made individually on demand in big mixers. Upon entering we noticed the clean crisp decor. The place is gleaming! There are quite a few choices on the menu. The strawberry one in my photo is gluten free, the chocolate one is not. The girl at the register was friendly and helped navigate the gluten free options. I can't even put into words how much I loved this ice cream.. I got the Strawberry Bond with oat milk and couldn't even tell it was dairy free. When at other ice cream shops, at times, I'll opt for milk due to its creaminess but I don't have to worry about that here! I believe the owners were the ones preparing and taking our order - they were friendly, patient (I have a hard time making decisions and especially here since it was my first time and there is an insurmountable amount of flavor combinations to choose from) and worked efficiently. Another thing was how clean the place was! I'm ocd when it comes to cleanliness and I was so happy sitting indoors here because of this which is just another plus in my eyes. I don't review a lot of places unless they go out of their way, good or bad and boy did they go out of their way. M.J. Specifically went the extra mile. Firs of all, I ordered the Chocolate combustion with the simple twist of vanilla ice cream rather than chocolate. This was my first visit here. What I received was three scoops of vanilla with 3 tiny pieces of brownie and some whipped cream. When I pointed it out, the very young lady behind the counter, who's shorts were so short it looks like she only had a tee shirt on, took it and put some chocolate sprinkles on it and a drizzle of chocolate sauce and handed it back. Still a bit distraught, I pulled up a picture of the chocolate combustion and returned to them and showed them. MJ told me I had changed from vanilla from the chocolate and that's correct. Please see the picture comparison. I pointed out the lack of brownies and sauce topping. He took it from me angrily and shoved two more tiny brownie pieces on top of it and handed it back. At this point I just asked for a refund. Mr MJ told me sorry it was already made and they did not do refunds. I informed him I would call my bank and issue a charge back he told me to go ahead. I have never been to ANY food establishment and rather than remake it, just add some stuff to it, not once but twice. And to go further not allow me to get a refund. Unbelievable. They only have 3 stars on yelp and I'm shocked it's not lower. My dates ice cream was very good so they (MJ and the pantsless teen) must really be going out of their way to make an ice cream shop, which is ch should be a happy place a miserable horrible experience. Maybe it's because who I was with? Maybe it was me, regardless, MJ has no business dealing with customers and employees should at least wear visible pants. Minus the color of the ice cream, would you have sent it back? I will be requesting my bank issue Them a charge back, which will cost them more than my ice cream. read more

Very expensive. $32 for 4 small Sunday's. Worth it? Not really. There are cheaper alternatives that are just as good if not better. It was nice to try, but I wouldn't return based on the price alone. Who serves ice cream with a frown? The workers at creamistry do. Although, the ice cream making does look laborious, put a smile on, you're possibly making someone's shitty day better. Some of the photos on yelp are unavailable, like the Elvis Presley, but there are still quite a few signature concoctions to choose from. The menu boards are also difficult to read with blue light backgrounds. I liked the unicorn the best. read more

What an Amazing place to go, I'm visually impaired so I couldn't watch the them making each order with liquid Nitrogen, but I was able to feel the Cold Cloud as it billowed over the safety glass, it was AWESOME !! The service was So Friendly and Accommodating, they went out of their way to make sure me and my family not only enjoyed our ice cream, but had everything we needed...the owners 15 years old daughter even helped me (guided me with her arm) to the trash can to throw away our trash, a lot of places are not very Accommodating for the disabled...this place deffintly is ! Awesome! I am kind of shocked to see anything but five star reviews. I truly think anyone giving this place less than five stars is just mad at the world. It's ice cream. Get real. And it's GOOD ice cream. We've been regulars here for a while and it's always a treat. The service is AWESOME. Yes, it takes a minute for them to MAKE YOUR ICE CREAM FRESH. It's amazing. And the people? Seriously some of the nicest people ever. It's a really clean, nice place with great service, excellent family vibe, and good ice cream. Bonus: I'm vegan and the options here are AWESOME. My husband recommends the coconut taro with mochis! It's his fave! You won't be disappointed! read more

After looking at the prices when I walked in, I almost walked straight out. I was craving something sweet and was in the area so I figured I'd give it a try. I mean, $12 for a 10ounce shake seems insane but it must be really good for that price. I gave in and I got a shake. It was ok, but I felt bad drinking it after spending $12 on it. NOT WORTH the $12. I am drinking the shake as I am writing this review, so it's not good enough to deter me from writing a bad review even as I drink it. I read a few reviews and the majority of them mentioned how the place had no customers walk in while they were there. Same scenario for me, an empty place. Not much mentioned the customer service, which was ok in my experience. Not problematic and not memorable. Nothing bad but also nothing good, which isn't something to complain about I guess. It just was eh. Overall, a subpar experience and a decent milkshake for an absurd price. Sorry Creamistry, it's mainly the cost to portion ratio but I wouldn't recommend anyone to try this place. There are other places a short drive from this Creamistry in Round Rock that are more worth the money. read more

This ice cream was SO GOOD! I have a four year old so we've tried a lot of ice creams and OH MY GOSH. My husband, myself, and my daughter all LOVED the ones we picked out 10/10. And the employees were AMAZING! My daughter dropped her ice creams and the whip cream came off and the one woman took it back and re did it for her! I ordered a Thai Tea ice cream and it came out fast! All the team members were so helpful and friendly! I loved watching them make the ice cream right in front of me, it's so fun to see all the liquid nitrogen! My ice cream was delightful, it was so rich and creamy! Vegan review - I was disappointed by the vegan ice cream here, but am giving one additional star for the kind staff and the simple fact that they have any vegan options at all. That being said, I won't be coming back - get your vegan ice cream elsewhere if you can. First, the vegan ice cream is $1 extra, which is annoying. I get that the ingredients might be more expensive, but the additional cost should be split evenly with the regular ice cream so that you aren't making your vegan customers feel like they're being punished for choosing that option. They don't make it easy to distinguish the vegan flavors and toppings, and it's sad that you can only choose one flavor. I ordered the chocolate with cashew base and strawberries on top. My small cup of ice cream was almost $9, which was crazy expensive. The chocolate flavor didn't taste like chocolate, it was pretty terrible and devoid of any real flavor. I was expecting the strawberries to be fresh, but they were slimy and seemed canned or something. I was pretty disappointed that I had just wasted $9 on something so unappetizing and low quality. read more

Overpriced ice cream, terrible service, and a big waste of your money. If your into throwing your money away then this is the place. The "nitro~hype" isn't worth the expense. Over $35 just for the four of us to get a "treat". They must be making a huge profit. Probably why their staff doesn't care about customer service. Boring inside, no flare, no music. If you like the white steam of the nitro then have at it. Beware of at time of payment the terminal is defaulted to only give a 15-20-25% tip. You have to manually opt to enter 0.00. A tip?! Are you serious. After my small ice cream is $8 each? Crazy PS. The employee forgot to make one of our orders and started taking others. Huge delay on top of a slow process. Back our bags you'll be here awhile! read more

We sat outside and ordered the following dishes: Coxinha (shredded chicken croquette) was excellent and very kid friendly. Crispy on the outside while incredibly creamy and soft on the inside. 9/10 Bolinha de Queijo (fried cheese balls) were my son's favorite, basically their version of mozzarella sticks. 9/10 Pizza Queijo, cheese pizza with crust stuffed with Brazilian cream cheese, really good. 8/10 Espetinho de Chicken Heart, my wife's choice and she loved it. Dense, slightly chewy, and best with lime and the creamy pepper sauce the waiter brought after I asked. 8/10 Strogonoff de Frango, the standout main dish. Rich, creamy, perfectly seasoned sauce with excellent rice and crispy potato sticks. 9/10 Caipirinha Tradicional, solid and paired well with the savory dishes. 9/10 Caipirinha de Caju, my wife loved it, perfectly balanced sweetness. 10/10 Brigadeiro (dessert) taken to go. Small but tasted as expected. 7/10 Pricing is mid range and actually lower than expected overall though drinks can push the bill up quickly. Overall, great vibes and a very enjoyable experience. Best suited for dates, special occasions, or family outings. I would definitely come back, especially to try more appetizers, different pizza options, the Strogonoff de Frango again and try some new dishes. 4.5 / 5 rounded up!

Escondidinho de carne - this is a really good dish with ground beef that doesn't have many veggies like the Irish version, but still very good. The visit was not without a miscues though. I asked the waitress for an extra plate when she brought the entree out, but she never returned. Then, at the end, I finished my meal and nobody was coming to my table to give me my ticket. I had other places to be so I had to walk to the register and ask for my bill. Another person at the bar, who I had never seen come to my table, prepared the bill so I could pay. This was a little bit awkward and just seemed like the employees were flustered due to the holiday or something and just forgot about me entirely. We had such an amazing time on Lake Travis thanks to Willo and Float On. Willo gave superb instructions on operating and piloting the boat including an overview of relevant customs and laws while out on the water. Our group had six adults and one 2-year old and they had plenty of water safety devices for all ages. On a side note, it was wonderful to see how genuinely excited Willo was about Lake Travis once again having a healthy water level after several dry years. In terms of our experience on the lake, we got excellent advice on where to travel based on our team's interests and after following his directions it felt like we had arrived on our own private lake. We probably only saw a handful of other boats during our 3-hour excursion and that was only in passing. The boat came with a Garmin GPS that made it really easy to retrace our steps. For those wondering, there was excellent cell phone service out on the lake and we were able to use our phone GPS, make calls, and stream music. The boat had some nice integrated speakers with Bluetooth connectivity and we were able to jam out to our own tunes. There was also a cool flotation device attached to the back of the boat called the Aqua Lily Pad which we unrolled after anchoring, we had multiple adults laying on it without sinking into the lake. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience and we would highly recommend booking with Float On.

The boat was equipped with speakers that allowed us to play our favorite songs and the slide & lily pad were a nice added touch! The girls and I thoroughly enjoyed it and the location he chose, Devil's Cove, was great for pictures and swimming. Overall, the experience was a 10/10 and I would highly recommend booking with Nauti ATX Charters again!

My family and I have been coming here for years and loved every visit, however this is not the case this time. I visited today, after not having been back for a while, and noticed that they had changed the menu, as it was different to make "creations." Creations as I had known it were one size and like a diy ice cream cup, however now there were different sizes. I had ordered a regular, thinking that it would be the same large cup as it had been before, as it had been a "signature creation". Once the ice cream was done, I noticed that the ice cream was just in a small regular cup, so I asked the girl at the counter if I could upgrade, which she said yes and directed for me to pay the difference at the front counter. Once I was charged, I noticed that the receipt said I paid for another whole regular cup. I asked the man at the counter politely why I had been charged for a whole other cup. He explained to me that he didn't know how to charge me the $3 extra or so for the ice cream and the only other way was to charge me for another cup. I was extremely confused and asked for a refund for the cup that I had just paid for, which then this was where the real problem came out, THE OWNER. He came out asked what the problem was, I explained to him my situation, and he DID NOT understand my situation, told me there was no refund for ice cream that came out, which I said that I had not been given that ice cream, I had just paid for it. He then told me that there was no refund button, and I should mention that he said this all in an irritated voice. WHAT?! At this point I was extremely angry, so I told him to make my ice cream then. The owner then pointed to the already made ice cream (not the one that I recently just made a separate purchase for) and told me there it is, and reiterated that there are no refunds. Now I was livid, I yelled that he did not understand me (which now he was interrupting me and not listening to me) I said for him to listen. This was HIS response, "this is my shop, I do not need to listen to you, get your ice cream and leave my store." Appalled by this, I showed him my receipts, which NOW he realizes that I paid for a separate one, and asked his worker if he had given me the ice cream (obviously not), then walked off and stood in silence looking at the wall. Might I add this whole time the woman that told me that I could upgrade, stood smirking in the background, and then spoke to the manager in a different language, smirking the whole time, then she said to me in a demeaning voice that she could give me the 2 or 3 dollars extra that I wanted back. I walked out of that store offended, I have never experienced customer service this bad. What kind of store does not give refunds? Also not once has someone asked me to leave a restaurant, I did not cause a disturbance to the place, as no one was in there except for me. A message to the owner: you did not even understand my situation and blatantly yelled at me; if you keep doing business like this, you won't be open for much longer. I am sure that there was a change in ownership from the first time that I have visited, and in this case it was not a good change. MY FAMILY AND I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK. UPDATE: After trying the ice cream and reading prior reviews, the ice cream is definitely not the same. The texture is not as smooth as before, and was very melted, even after being in the freezer for an hour. Reassurance that we will not be returning. read more

I love this place. I am not sure why there are so many negative comments being put out. What people don't understand is that this is not an independently owned ice cream place. IT IS A FRANCHISE!! Which means that the concept, prices, outlook of the store, etc. are decided by the corporate. The owners, managers, and employees just follow what they say. Before anyone even orders, the first step is to choose the size and the prices are right next to it. So if anyone feels that it is very pricey than they don't have to eat there. no one is forcing anyone to spend their money than come on here complaining that it is expensive ice cream. Also what I am seeing is the complaints about the signature creations. For people that are saying that they were shown a shake cup presentation for the creations and are getting the ice cream in a small cup, well that because YOU ARE NOT ORDERING A LARGE SIZE. Again, when you look at STEP 1 you see the cup as regulars and medium and the large as shake cup. Then anyone can use there common sense and link to and two together. As far as customer service goes, I had no problem with that. This Round Rock location came under new ownership recently. Everyone is super friendly here especially if you meet the owner/manager of the place and there is this employee who has a welcome smile on her face right when you enter the place. Both of these people have a very outgoing personality and I GUARANTEE if anyone goes there and requests to see these two people for their ice cream, there is no way you will have a bad experience. The ones that have had a bad experience before can surely go again and give this place a second chance but this time like I said with these two people, you will love it. read more

The only drawback is the occasional ice crystals in the ice cream, but that's usually easy enough to ignore.

I had the falooda and it was nothing like anything I have had previously - an explosion of flavors and textures in your mouth. I loved the firmness and crunchiness of the almond pistachio ice cream. The softness of the gelatin and translucent noodles (yes noodles!) were enjoyable to eat. The falooda also has basil seeds, which added a different texture. I didn't know basil seeds existed until today. It is great as a foodie when you experience something totally different and it is so enjoyable to eat. Harry, the owner, was super personable. As someone with an egg allergy, I really appreciated that most of their ice cream is egg-free. There are only 4 flavors that contain eggs, and they are clearly labeled, which is a huge plus. The ice cream itself is delicious, creamy and not overly sweet. We ordered a small with two scoops: gulab jamun and pistachio almond saffron. The gulab jamun flavor even had chunks of fried dough balls, and the scoops were very generous. We also tried the shahi falooda, which includes rice noodles, falooda ice cream, and rose syrup. The staff was super helpful and let me know that their jello contains eggs, so I skipped it. The drink was refreshing and not too sweet. Portions are plentiful, everything we tried was yummy, and the staff was knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommended!
