I placed a curbside order for the Avocado Toast with a side of scrambled eggs. The Avocado Toast was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of my meal. I would gladly order it again. The scrambled eggs, however, were overcooked for my taste and had already been seasoned with salt and pepper. Since I prefer to season my own eggs, I think it would be better if the restaurant left them unseasoned and provided salt and pepper packets so guests could season them according to their preferences. Also, there weren't any eating utensils in the container either. My other concern was the curbside pickup experience. There didn't appear to be a designated curbside pickup area, and I had to repeatedly blow my horn so the person could locate me where I was parked. A clearly marked pickup space or a more efficient notification process would greatly improve the customer experience. Overall, the food, especially the Avocado Toast, was very good, and I would return. With a few improvements to the curbside service and a little more flexibility in how the eggs are prepared, the experience could be even better.

The espresso was not bitter and had a wonderful flavor .. and smelled divine .. there were several other offerings that I'm eager to try later.. The bacon was described and pictured as crispy, but what I got was soft, greasy, and anything but crispy. The sandwich looked nothing like the photos shown online or on the drive-thru menu boards. The presentation was honestly disappointing, especially considering the price point. I understand that fast food ads are styled for marketing, but there should still be some resemblance to the actual product being served. The melted cheese and bread were fine, but the bacon texture completely missed the mark. Not terrible, but definitely not what was advertised -- and that matters.

The service was surprisingly quick and friendly, so this should be very convenient even when there are lots of cars like today. And they even have a walk-up window if you prefer, although I doubt it will get that much use. I got their version of a frappe called a Chiller, which was very finely blended without the ice chunks I often get elsewhere, so that was a definite improvement. And the coffee was rich and flavorful. I love that they have tons of flavored syrups to choose from (over 20!) and I chose banana which was good, but you'll definitely want to ask for extra if you like it sweet like me. Even with 6 pumps it was a little faint and not too sweet. But that's easily fixed and I'm looking forward to exploring more flavors next time!

The woman taking my order was so nice, asked me how my day was going, if we had any plans for the rest of the day...and she actually sounded sincere like she WANTED to know, not like she was told to ask. The Spinach and Feta Pretzel Melt seemed to fit the bill for this time of day, so I rolled with it. Let me pause to say this: my 7yo was in the car and wanted to try some of mine. Keep in mind this was SPINACH aka "green stuff". My child ate it. He ate so much of it that I had to fight to get half and then he asked when we could go back and get it again. So clearly the spinach and feta pretzel melt is magic. Third: the coffee!! I'm a fairly basic coffee person so initially ordered a hot latte, then decided to splurge and get some hazelnut syrup when the barista mentioned it. Rest assured, both the Ratatouille and Fajita can compete with the best of them. The only question now is if you would prefer savory and comforting, or spicy and invigorating. They don't hold back on the smoky chipotles for the fajita veggies, so beware for those with lower heat tolerance! I will admit that the "ratatouille" felt more like marinara, missing clear evidence of eggplants, zucchinis, or peppers, but a lovely tomato ragu all the same. Excellent value, too, since you get a nice little fresh side salad and decent portion size for $12.50 plus tax and tip. It's a cute cafe that's hopping during weekend brunch, but still has plenty of seating and space for a leisurely meal. Definitely worth repeating, any day of the week.

But in this case, they may need some help from someone who can teach them the fundamentals of running a restaurant. * * * This is a crepe place but they have an extensive menu of other items. In fact, the menu is huge, given the small size of the establishment and the relatively small amount of business they get. This means that a lot of their perishables are going to go bad unless they use a lot of frozen ingredients. If they use frozen ingredients, they need to figure out how to defrost those items quickly. (This is foreshadowing.) It also means if they are short staffed that there will be many items that the cook has not fully learned how to prepare due to lack of practice. (Foreshadowing.) * * * There was a very amateur cook in the kitchen our night. This being a creperie, a typical order would be serving the savory crepes first and the sweet crepes second. The sweet crepes are usually dessert. We ordered a savory crepe, a sweet crepe and a sandwich with french fries off of the sandwich menu. The cook, being pressed for time, cooked all of the crepes first, and then made the sandwich and the fries. So we got the dessert crepe and the main course crepe at the same time. So we either had to eat them both at the same time or one of them had to get cold waiting for the first crepe to be finished. While we were struggling through the crepes, The bacon pesto chicken ciabatta came. That had to sit while we finished our crepes. So by the time we got to our "main course" after "dessert", The fries were stone cold and soggy. The sandwich was leaden. The ciabatta might as well have been a cannonball. The room temperature chicken and bacon were okay as long as you avoided the ciabatta. * * * The room is not a pleasant place to sit in. Some of this is not the owner's fault. They are right at the intersection of I-35 and I-45/Hester's Crossing. Giant concrete highway ramps dominate the view. The rest is parking lot. * * * However, the owner makes things far worse by having large TV screens that display commercials for why you should come to his restaurant. So a wide variety of menu items are displayed with the TV urging you to Come and Try This! Come and Try That! Come and Try the Next Item! How About This Item? * * * Advertising is supposed to bring customers into your store. If they are already in your store, then you do not need more advertising. Once the customers are IN your store, you need to try to give them a pleasant wonderful experience, so they decide to come back the next time. No one goes out for a night on the town to watch commercials for the night club that they are in. * * * Plus, if it is irritating to watch commercials, It is 400 times more irritating to watch the same commercial on a loop being repeated over and over and over and over and over again. Repetition kills the charm of whatever you put on the TV the first time. * * * Back to ingredients coming out of the freezer. My sweet crepe was a mango crepe with some other minor flavoring. Mango is a fantastic thing to put into a crepe. The crepe we got was 1/3 frozen, 2/3 cooked. * * * When I pointed out the frozen mango to the waitress, She was sweet and kind and lovely and sympathetic. She gave us a free banana muffin to compensate us for our woes. * * * This is not a bakery, so undoubtedly the muffin was brought in from an outside provider. It was awful. It had a bad chemical taste that probably came from using low grade artificial banana flavoring. Either the muffins came from an associate of the provider, or the muffins were selected because they were relatively cheap. On baked goods, you get what you pay for. * * * I suspect cheap, because inappropriate cheapness also showed up in the furniture. The chairs are upholstered golden fabric Middle Eastern chairs with a flocked texture that were undoubtedly were beautiful once. The store has only been open a few months, But those chairs were showing the signs of years of wear and tear. I am fairly sure those dingy chairs were purchased used. The chairs were the first thing we saw. First impressions matter. * * * I hope the owner learns from his experience when he opens his second restaurant. His first restaurant won't last long.

Pagers for food when they went off were obnoxious beeping. Just give people a table number and carry it out to them. Maybe they have one little toaster and person in the back? That said once the food came, the tofu was DELICIOUS, and a large portion. We could have split it. Croissant was unimpressive as was their chocolate croissant. Macarons were tasty, but not with the signature chew that ones made with egg whites would have. $$ Two plain lattes, two lemon toasts, a chocolate croissant and 6 macarons with a $5 tip was $88.
