While in Chelsea Market, I stopped by Creamline and tried the Patty Melt with fries, ranch, and a drink. I'll start by saying it's definitely on the pricier side--$15 for the patty melt, $8 for the fries, $1 for the ranch, and $3.75 for a canned Sprite. The service was mediocre at first, but when I went back to purchase the ranch separately, the cashier was personable and kind. She mentioned that the ranch was their best, and I have to admit--she wasn't lying. It was worth the dollar! What originally drew me to Creamline was the fact that they actually had seating. After walking around the city, I really needed a place to rest my feet, and this spot seemed to have plenty of seats! The patty melt was good, but the fries and ranch were the true stars. This was the perfect spot for some grub after a day out in the city. We initially walked past it, then on the way back through Chelsea Market we noticed it again and decided to give it a go. Honestly, I never leave poor reviews but the encounter I had with an employee was shocking. Not only were they rude, they were completely insufferable and miserable at best. It's cute and has multiple tables and counter tops, which is more than you can say for some of the other food options inside the market. The chocolate milkshake is just OK - its exactly what you'd expect of a chocolate milkshake! It's thick, tastes like chocolate, and there's a nice helping of fudge drizzled around the cup. We met some friends here for dinner on Thursday night. The music was so obnoxiously loud that we could barely order or speak at the table. Luckily, the manager on duty (she was awesome) lowered it for us, which seemed like an act of mercy for everyone at the restaurant. There's beers on draft and our friends got a pitcher of a local white ale that we enjoyed. The $12 cheeseburger was fine, but laughable in terms of value. It's like a shake shack burger, tiny and smashed, and it's not like that came with fries. We don't care if that cow lived his/her best life on some kumbaya farm upstate--price your menu accordingly! The honey hot chicken sandwich was a better portion and we loved how crispy the chicken was, but the honey was dripping everywhere and we needed over a dozen napkins to eat it. Waffle fries were fine. The shakes (almost $11 each) were pretty amazing--you could definitely taste the freshness of the dairy and while we wish there had been more of a cookie element in the cookies-n-cream, it (and the strawberry one) was the best part of the meal. Service was friendly and fast, but bottom Creamline line: not worth it. There are better stalls in the market where you can get more bang for your buck. It was thick but not too thick and very heavy on the chocolate. The cashier gave me two straws, saying "in case I need it"; about halfway through the shake I understood why. In a moment of weakness, I tested every single one of their milkshake flavors. No shame, all deliciousness. My favorite was the cookies flavor. It was creamy with cookie chunks and a hint of biscuit. I feel so gypped. The beef chilli cup is only half chilli; the rest of it is cheese, and not even really cheese, but that cheap, fake cheese whiz garbage. The cup is extremely small, too. I finished it in three spoons. For $6, this must be a joke. The tuna salad is mostly lettuce with maybe a tablespoon of tuna and not much else. The cheeseburger was incredibly small and underwhelming. There's no coffee sold past noon, which makes no sense, especially on a Sunday. The sweet potato fries are totally tasteless. I needed to cover them in ketchup for it to be worth it. Half the menu, including the grilled cheese sandwich and the PB&J, wasn't available when I dropped by.
