I am a frequent Prince Tea House goer, but I've never been to the KTown location which has always been on my bucket list because of the nice wall decors! And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! This is always my favorite spot to go for desserts and hangout. The interior decor is very modern, sophisticated and stylish. We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. Food: This is a wonderful teahouse to hang out in! We were a group of 7 and ordered the Dessert Paradise (a tower of mini desserts) and an Afternoon Tea Set for 2. The Dessert Paradise comes with a pot of tea, and the Afternoon Tea Set comes with two pots of tea. They have a wide variety of teas including green teas, black teas, white tea, oolong teas, and more. The sets were a bit pricey, but you are paying for the ambiance and experience. The desserts and finger foods in the towers weren't anything exceptional, but everything was very pretty and the presentation was nice. I usually prefer to get individual desserts if you don't care about getting the tower/set. Other menu items that I recommend are their hot and cold milk teas, peach iced tea, squid tails, and purple yam souffle. The food and desserts are overall very good here. Service: Service was excellent. Staff were so friendly and attentive! Ambiance: The ambiance is lovely here, and it feels like you are in a classy, fancy tea house. Seating is comfortable and spacious, and the decor is beautiful. The place feels elegant without being too upscale. Pretty decent afternoon tea! There was an overwhelming selection of 20+ teas, ranging from green teas such as tieguanyin to rooibos, fruity and floral teas to black teas. Scones were quite dense and not what I expected in terms of texture. Boba flan was a bit too sweet for me. I did like the finger sandwiches a lot! We say 6 to a circular table, so it was really difficult to arrange 6 teapots and 6 teacups. This place is pricey! You are coming here for the decor and the atmosphere, but not the food. Definitely the inside is absolutely beautiful. But the portion and price of the desserts are on the other side of the beautiful spectrum. For $11, my friend and I split a banana cheesecake. It was so small, we could have finished it with 4 bites (2 each). That is insane to me to pay $11 for that size. The mango matcha latte was really good. That costed us $8.50 each. We came here to catch up. So the place definitely provides the atmosphere to talk. The second floor was closed when we were there. However they did allow my friend to take pictures on the second floor. Three stars because of the price. I understand it's midtown, but dessert should not cost almost $12 for that size. read more

I stopped by with a friend on a Thursday night around 9:00 PM and it was pretty crowded. It's been a while since I last went to a Prince Tea House and I was disappointed to see how service has gone downhill. The set up of the restaurant has booths to the right and tables crammed together on the left. They made us wait around 15-20 minutes for one of the cramped side tables even though multiple booths were open when we arrived. When we asked about it, they said that it was because those booths are reserved for larger groups during "peak hours". Most of the filled booths only had two people and they ended up seating a 2 person group that arrived after us in a booth as well. So we started off our visit on a sour note. Waiting to get our order taken and for our food was also took a long time. However, we both ordered their Dubai Chocolate Parfait, which ended up being so tasty and such a great treat and kind of made up for the experience. But in the midst of my friend and I eating and chatting, the manager (?) came by to every table telling us that there was no more running water (??) and this has happened multiple times before (!) such a strange experience. All in all, Prince Tea House has some great food options but their service has unfortunately gone downhill. So maybe try to do take out if you want their food? Haha. read more

Out of my comfort zone--have to thank my friend for this find, he wanted to check it out and I was spontaneous enough to tag along. Turned out to be lovely. The staff were very helpful and attentive the entire time and the decorations are outstanding, I would have never imagined the inside to be that mesmerizing. Food was good although not their strongest but don't let that fool you, the chicken waffle was amazing & this leans towards dessert lovers which I happen to be one. The tea options are vastly overwhelming in the best way, a true tea heaven for someone like my friend. I personally had the Prince Passion and it was incredibly good. Something to keep in mind, it's pricey hitting within $50-60 per person giving you a traditional British high tea and modern Asian cafe culture experience, recommend visiting for that alone. Thankfully they have 8 locations in NYC so you don't need to go to far, I will check-out the Flushing location in the near future as I have to try the deserts. read more

The area it's in isn't the best, but once you go inside, you're transported into a lovely tea room. The photos on Yelp don't do the inside justice, it looks much better in-person! Love this spot to just hang out. You can get a taste of the British with an afternoon tea, have an actual meal, or just some desserts and tea after dinner elsewhere. Plus, the space is super cutely decorated with florals, velvet, and gold fixtures that takes a page out of Bridgerton. Definitely a great spot to host a cute bridal or baby shower too. When we arrived, we put our name on the waitlist but got seated within minutes on a Saturday night. Between the four of us, we shared the Mango Mille Crepe ($11.50), Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crepe ($11.50), and Purple Yam Soufflé ($12). We also got two pots of tea to share as each pot serves about 3-4 cups. One of the teas we got was the Jardin Tropical ($11), which tasted just like a watermelon jolly rancher --very sweet and fruity. There's no refill for the infused teas though, but such a unique tea flavor. We realized that they did forget our dessert order until we reminded them. But they came out soon after and all of our picks were delicious. My favorite was the brown sugar boba Mille crepe with the creme brulee top and fun experience to pour the cream and boba balls on top. The location is quite large with two levels. It's very clean and beautiful. Two bathrooms on the ground floor with beautiful wallpaper. The space is ADA accessible but the bathrooms may not be. I love that they offer a vegetarian afternoon tea. Many tea houses won't offer that or will have limited veggie options but prince tea house is very accommodating to vegetarians. The only downside was the service and length of time to receive drinks and food. We were a group of 3 and were there well over 2 hours. The tea and food took a long time to come out. We probably didn't receive the tea until 15-20 minutes after ordering. The food then took probably another half hour. It had been crowded but slowly died down within an hour. The servers didn't seem to know how to accommodate substitutions at first but eventually figured it out. At the end of the meal, their POS (point of sale) system messed up splitting our check 3 ways but they were able to sort it out quick. I would definitely come back bc it is one of the more enjoyable and affordable afternoon tea options in the city, but would hope the experience would not take as long next time. read more

Super adorable dessert and tea place in KTown! My friend and I came at 9PM and they sat us down immediately. Even though it was later at night, they had a full house. We came here on a Friday evening after dinner since most other spots were closed but this was a nice surprise find. This is a sit down and they serve you type of dessert shop unlike the others where you typically just order and find a spot to sit at so more service. The top layer of the crepe cake was brûlée that gave it a nice crunchy texture paired with the rest of the cakes's soft layers and cream then the chewy bobas--a perfect mix! The rose milk tea we got it hot for the cold temperatures outside. It was very heavy on the milk and the rose flavor which we liked but depends on your palette. I have to say this was a really nice and beautiful experience. We went around 8pm, 15 min wait, VERY organized and friendly service team. The Tea was AMAZING!!! My girlfriend and I had the Jasmin and Lavender Milk Tea and the single pot held us through the entree and meal easily. We had the wings, truffle fries and dumplings, everything we ate, everything we drank was a 10/10 easily. The only downside is how packed it can get but if you're looking for peace in NYC it's a tough find. Popularity in mind though we were seated and treated fantastic.
