I have my new favorite here its the ube boba milk. Its so creamy and delicious and the sweetness is perfect. I really like this location because its not crowded even its located close to ktown. I went and got the large ube boba and its so good! The boba was perfectly cook as well. I highly recommend!
One of the best brown sugar bubble teas I've had but oh so expensive for such a small cup. It's close to $9 (after tax) for their signature Brown sugar boba milk but the sweetness level and the texture of the bubbles were absolute perfection. Place was bright and clean and had a few tables for seating. Workers were fast and friendly. Only one kiosk though, which might slow down the ordering process.
This location is pretty large compared to the one in Flushing. There was plenty of seating. There was a line but it moved pretty fast. You can customize your drinks with the level of sweetness and how much ice you want. This place is known for its bubbles. They are perfectly chewy with the right amout of sweetness. The ube milk didn't have very strong ube flavor. I did like the milky consistency. The bubbles of course are the star.
Quite big and very spacious place to have on 5th Ave. it place is Huge and bridge with seating are on one side and service on the others, cut & simple decor. Staff and nice and friendly. Drinks are refreshing and well make. Love the store.
this is my favorite bubble tea spot in new york city. the warm boba really stands out. it has an incredible gooey, chewy texture that really sets it apart. i got the brown sugar boba, which is a pretty standard flavor. i was able to adjust the sweetness. it was a good size and very refreshing on a hot day. the service is very fast and the staff was really nice. someone else had taken my order, and the staff was happy to remake mine. it wasn't too busy inside lots of seating available. overall, i definitely recommend checking out this location.
Pretty decent spot for boba tea near ktown, this location has a big seating area, super inviting. I will have to try their fruit tea next time!
Was looking for a pick me up and found Xing Fu Tang on Yelp. I think the most expensive item on the menu is the Gold Foil Boba ($16.99). That was a bit much, so I stuck with something more down to earth. The Thai Tea ($7.99, or $8.70 with tax) was good, although the boba was a wee bit on the soft side for my liking. This might be due to it being later in the day. Drinks come in only one size. This is one of the larger boba shops I've seen during my visit to NYC, and it's also clean. Plenty of space for people to wait for their drink orders. There's a little bit of seating, that is spaced out in a way that doesn't feel cramped at all. It was a bit unclear how the line forms. They could benefit from a sign with an arrow that says "line forms here", with an arrow pointing left of the divider. It's easy to walk in on the wrong side if you're not paying attention, especially when you naturally want to walk closer to the counter in order to be able to read the tiny text on the menu that is posted on the wall behind the counter. They have big images of the drink, with tiny text underneath. It's very hard to read from a distance. The workers here don't look very happy, especially the guy who took orders at the register. DIdn't seem like he wanted to be there. Just going through the motions. Even forgot to ask about sweetness or ice preference, which all boba shops tend to ask when you order a drink that can be customized. Saw him making drinks afterwards with the same blank "I don't want to be here" look on his face. The other 2 workers looked less unhappy.
Xing Fu Tang is big yum. Can't beat the original in Taiwan (which is the first one I ever went to) but the boba is a great consistency. They have the fortunes here too! Clean, brightly lit. People are nice.
Idk... I first experienced XFT in HK... when the brown sugar boba crazed was on overdrive. Their gimmick is this giant wok cooking boba... I haven't had a boba in a while and this XFT opened on 5th Ave new my work, plus they are promoting an "Ube" drink series. The shop is clean, very clinically white... idk, my experience was a little weird... there was no line, I walked up to the counter... and ordered my drink. "Dirty Ube Latte". The girl took my order, I paid. She then placed my cup to the side... guessing someone else would THEN take it to make said order (?)... like how Starbucks runs their assembly line. I went to the area to wait for my drink.... I see my cup... but no one's working on it.... There were workers busy with the social media stuff (really? Do you even need influencers? No one even trust their views anymore... so blah). Anyway, another min passed - the girl who took my order - had to make my drink bc NO ONE was working behind the counter. Finally got the Dirty Ube Latte... and it looks really good. Alas... the drink was horrible... had no taste, it was super milky... zero sugar... and the coffee topping was useless... did not add value whatsoever.... Unless it's only for the look. $8 wasted. Guess I can write this spot off... rather splurge for my coconut Ube latte at GS.
Fresh warm oooey gooey springy boba. Creamy coffee foam. Delicious sago. A recipe for perfection on a warm April day in Manhattan. The lines are short and quick and the (small) wait is worth it. Service is nice and patient and the person at the register was kind enough to explain and ask about all the options - low ice, low sugar ftw. Will be back!
Pros: - their tapioca is ALWAYS on point, I've yet to dislike their tapioca, the only boba tea place I get tapioca at - my usual is either the Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea (w/ oat milk) or the Chrysanthemum w/ Honey Jelly, both are sooo good - service was quick and staff were very nice Cons: - nothing to mention here~ Comments: - went around 5PM on Wednesday, it wasn't busy at all - you do need a receipt to use the bathroom - they played the music very low, which isn't a bad thing but I wish it was slightly louder
Jasmine GT w honeycomb w boba came out to a whopping $10+!! Drink itself was $7.50 + upsize + boba. Inside is clean and spacious tho. Love that there is a fortune draw built into the wall Tea was yummy but the boba was too soft for me
I stopped by around 5 PM on a Monday afternoon. There were quite a few people eating but no one in line. Typically, I feel like when you go to a boba shop the workers give some sort of acknowledgement. However, when I went up to the register, there was an awkward few minutes where I was just standing at the cash register wondering if anyone was going to come over. When I finally got my order taken, my order came out very quickly. I got a soft serve which came with hot bobba at the bottom. Flavor was great, just a bit too sweet though. But the consistency of the soft serve was super creamy and a great treat. The cost of the item is quite steep but it's actually very filling. I've been into the restaurant a few times but I felt that, unfortunately, this time, the store itself felt very messy, especially in the seating area. All in all, they have great options in terms of drinks and soft serve but the space does not feel the best kept and service was ok.

I got the brown sugar boba, and it was really good. It was super creamy, and the boba was chewy. It was topped with a cheese foam and brûléed, which added a nice texture. It came out quickly after ordering, only taking a couple minutes. There is a good amount of seating, and the place had a nice ambiance. I would get this drink again! read more
I was in the fifth Avenue and bumped into this Boba tea/coffee shop.. it was morning and I wanted to have a fresh coffee. Went through the menu and wanted to try the tiramisu latte... great location very close to Empire State and other things.. The interiors was actually very good... it was huge and there were a few tables to sit and drink.. service was also good.. Pricing was OK.. was about 8 to 9 dollars for a latte, including tips.. slightly higher than regular coffee shops, but good for once in a while, flavored coffee.. tiramisu latte was actually very good.. He did put some small quantity of rum on it and it tasted so good... also tried taro boba and it was good . Looks like a Taiwan based coffee shop... it was surely different and refreshing.. good experience.. 4 stars ! read more

So disappointed at the service at this location. First time in a Xing Fu Tang and I ordered their signature Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea. Or did I? I messed up and ordered it without the tea. I drank a little and it was all milk and no tea taste. So I went back to the counter and asked if they can remake my drink. Sadly the answer is no because they said I already drank it. Attached is a picture of how much I drank. My favorite tea place in San Diego has a standing policy to remake your drink if you don't like it for any reason. For $10 and tip, I was expecting them to be a more understanding. Look, I made the mistake so I owned up to it and ordered another so I can try their milk tea. Their boba was soft and chewy but my experience left a bitter taste. read more

This is my favorite xing fu tang purely based on the layout it actually has the feel of a café since it is bigger and actual seating. The counter has a bar feel with bar seating. There are tvs playing Asian music videos and music playing. Usually xing fu locations only have standing room only. This puts this location on another lvl then the rest. I tried some unique drinks 1st was the strawberry Boba strawberry milk tea. The strawberry taste was distinct yet balanced and not overly sweet. Also there was not an overly artificial taste. As with all locations the Boba is the star. The strawberry Boba has a nice sweet chew that had great texture and bounce. The green tea was strong tea flavor without being bitter it was not overly sweet I will definitely recommend this location specifically because of the seating and ambiance Service was quick and packaging was efficient read more
There was a student happy hour promotion on certain drinks. I tried the matcha boba, oolong tea with honey jelly, and boba milk tea. It wasn't sweet which I appreciated. Space was bright and clean with plenty of seats and a restroom for customers. read more
Xing Fu Tea is a great way to celebrate my first boba milk tea since moving to New York. Their brown sugar boba milk (isnt a tea) but it sure satisfies my cravings. The drink was a little over $8 after tax, and I would consider coming again to show my friends around. Huge shoutout to Miho for guiding me on some of their popular items and a drink that would best fit my cravings. Although I ended up with the basic and classic drink, it was much appreciated as a first timer. The inside is a great escape from the outside heat, and the seating area is nice! This could be a nice spot to study if you are a student or someone that works from home. read more

First time visiting this spot after a team dinner and it was disappointing. My first time having strawberry boba and it was great! You can really taste the strawberry flavor and the texture was just the way I like it. On the other hand, the matcha flavor was chalky and so bitter. It ruined the drink for me. My strong proclivity for bubble tea continues. This Xing Fu Tang is located in Koreatown between East 32nd and East 33rd Street on Fifth Avenue in Midtown East, Midtown West. It is located in the Herald Square vicinity. I needed a cool down at day's end to conclude a very arduous, exceedingly difficult work week and bubble tea is the resolution as a washout. Xing Fu Tang is surely a Taiwanese multinational chain of bubble tea business. I do enjoy and appreciate various Chinese ethnics' food/drink cuisine with reverence, despite my ethnic roots are NOT Taiwanese. This business is surprisingly gargantuan retail space which contains indoor seating of tables and chairs where patrons can linger with a purchase and doom scroll with their eyes staring at a screen. I concur and agree with previous Yelpers commenting on the retail space size and imagine the extortionate high rent along with exorbitant expenses. This space is certainly gargantuan which, I think, is better suited for a cafe rather than a bubble tea business. Peach Oolong tea, medium $7.50 I am a confirmed verifiable herbal jelly lover. My default topping herbal jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is included in my order. I never request milk in any of my tea drinks - either hot or cold. The tea alone was refreshing, but with the add-on toppings of my favorite herbal jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 was delicious chilled and fresh. The herbal jelly was utterly paucity for quantity. One word: frugal! The peach syrup is the sugar addictive which include fresh pieces of peach fruit, therefore, I obliged to request "less sugar" which former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg would be proud of my sugar intake level. I highly despise extreme sweet drinks for the high sugar content volume and agree with former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg's limiting sugar level initiatives consumption of sugary drinks. As usual, the ice melted entirely during my long-haul subway ride home. As I waited for my order to be fulfilled I took two fortunes which both topics pertain to love. It is very easy to obtain by blindly pulling one red wooden stick which contains a number then locate the drawer number on the wall to pull out the fortune. Nota Bene: The fortunes are written in both Chinese (simplified) and English which I can determine two characters based on my past adult Chinese language classes. The one particular character stands out: love 愛 traditional vs. love 爱 simplified because love is a powerful emotion as my desideratum. These Chinese fortune sticks (kau chim 求籤) are inspired from flat wooden sticks inscribed with text or numerals in a Buddhist temple. It evoke memories of my beloved family member who treks annually to a Buddhist temple obtaining annual fortunes for our entire family prior to Lunar New Year. Customer service is attentive and my order was fulfilled accurately and in a timely matter. No one made any comment to hinger me obtaining two fortunes. There is a gargantuan wok of boba being cooked and prepared in a open kitchen setting near the cashier. There are abundant napkins with the business name/logo printed which I grabbed a handful. Facilities are available on the premise with access code written on the bottom of the sales receipt. read more
Bubble tea shop on the 5th Ave corridor - big space, I'm sort of surprised they can have something this big. Rent must be high is a guess, but they seem to be doing well. Bubble tea (classic or otherwise) can be partial ice or none, sweetness not adjustable on most, and some hot or cold. Service was patient, and they have some tables to sit out at and relax, which was nice. No rush. They have a big wok of boba in the front where you can see how much they put in, nicely. Milk and tea wasn't too sweet, so that was nice. Bubbles a little soft but still some chewiness, lightly sweet. Definitely a solid bubble tea, will be back here to try others. Taiwanese shop. They also have a small area to pick up fortunes - you can pick a long stick and see what fortune you'll get that day in the wall! read more
Spacious spot for some boba! There is some seating inside to stop and rest for a bit. I tried the mango passionfruit green tea which was light and refreshing - you can customize your sugar level as well. It wasn't super busy when I stopped by on a weekday afternoon so my drink was ready quickly. read more
2nd round bevvy at Xing Fu Tang, but first time enjoying this location. I love this location for its space, comfortable cushioned seats/chairs and different table settings. Plus, a spacious bathroom. I ordered peach oolong tea, swapped the peachy jelly for brown sugar bubbles, less sugar and no ice. I actually would've enjoyed it more with sweetness of peach jelly. I still enjoyed every sip and wished I ordered the large size. read more

Kinda awkward ordering experience, not even a hi or hello lol. Tried this last Sunday as I was craving for a good Taro Milk Boba. Looked cute inside but so packed, managed to snag a stool. Not really the best ambience coming in for a cold drink. I was told the Taro Milk Tea won't be the same as others as theirs is more natural, I wasn't deterred. After paying $10+ for it and tasting it, I took just a few sips, called it a loss, threw it, and ordered from Gong Cha which was a couple of steps away. $7+ after, I was a happy camper. Went here yesterday on my lunch break as the cafe had a large eating by space from photos I saw online. Very open space with comfy seating as well as bar seating. There wasn't a line so I was able to quickly order a small Matcha Bubble Tea with Oat Milk and an extra scoop of matcha. Staff was polite and helpful. Bubble tea wasn't very sweet which was probably because of my substitute milk choice but I enjoyed it. I'd come back. read more

This location was extremely disappointing compared to the one in Flushing. I got the Black Sesame Boba Milk Tea, and I did not finish it. It lacked flavors, and the boba was all mushed up together. For the price I paid, almost $10 after tax, I expected it to be amazing like the one in Flushing but it wasn't. The store it self looks nice and clean. Service was just okay. I didn't have to wait too long to get my drink. read more

The first time I ever had Xing Fu Tang was at their Flushing location at 40-52 Main Street that opened in 2020. Xing Fu Tang is one of my favorite bubble tea spots. Their bubble tea is so good and really taste like high quality tea!! At Xing Fu Tang, the tapioca pearls are typically stir-fried in brown sugar in a large wok in front of the customers before it's added to the beverage. On August 3rd, 2024, Xing Fu Tang opened their newest location in Koreatown at 325 Fifth Ave. This store is bright, spacious, and inviting. There are only a few tables and 3 counter seats. By the registers, there is a huge wooden box engraved with Chinese numericals that allows you to pick your lucky quote of the day. First, pick your stick from a huge wooden container right underneath that box. Then, referring to the number stated on that stick, you get one piece of paper from one of those tiny drawers. I've ordered strawberry boba milk tea and Chrysanthemum honey tea from here. Both are really good and the bubbles are so fresh. The strawberry boba milk tea is strawberry smoothie with handmade strawberry boba and tastes like Nesquik strawberry milk. The Chrysanthemum tea is light and refreshing. It comes with honey jelly, but I subbed it for brown sugar boba because I just like the brown sugar boba so much. Before you order, you can pull a fortune, which I think is a super cute activity to do! The cashier was super helpful in answering my questions when I was looking for some boba drink with less caffeine. I ended up ordering the mango honey black tea with honey boba and thought the honey boba was a bit disappointing, which is why I'm giving it a 4 stars. read more
Xing Fu Tang has a spacious interior with plenty of seating and a little station where you can pick your fortune which was fun Unfortunately, the boba itself was disappointing. I got the matcha latte with strawberry boba. While the strawberry boba was delicious, the matcha was chunky and bitter. I expected more, especially since my drink was $10. There are plenty of other boba spots nearby, so unless you're just coming for the vibe or a different drink, I'd skip the matcha here read more
