I was excited to try the Kaya Coconut but was unfortunate to come when they didn't have any. Instead, I ordered the Thai Tea and Honey Butter while my partner got the Banana Milk and Ube. Before I ordered, I was able to sample the Milk Tea ice cream which had no taste of tea and tasted of just milk and sugar. The Thai Tea, on the other hand, was a good balance of tea, milk, and sugar. The Honey Butter was my favorite flavor with liquid swirls of honey and crunchy cookie pieces. My partner, who trusted the process a little too much didn't sample his ice cream before ordering and ended up with flavorless Ube and a somewhat artificial tasting Banana Milk ice cream. At least all the ice cream was nice and creamy. I think the experience at Sundaes Best is hit or miss depending on the flavors you get. Nice shop conveniently located midtown, which for me is more convenient to get to than the East village and Chinatown for Asian ice cream flavors. Misugaru choco pearls- Ice cream didn't have a distinct flavor and the choco pearls were not impressive Nurungji- The rice puffs that they add on top were all stale and the ice cream didn't really have any flavor to it Mochi injeolmi- Probably my favorite out of all the flavors that we tried but the mochi wasn't as chewy as I had wanted it to be Calamansi- Very sour!!! And this is coming from someone who loves sour food I was hoping this was just a one-off and really wanted to come back to try some of the other flavors but the prices are ridiculous. $17+ for 4 scoops of ice cream!!
