Well dang it, A Way with Clay has completely stolen my heart! I cannot think of a better way to…read morespend a relaxing weekend, especially if you're not a big fan of the cold or snow or both. A great way to spend time with friends and family, and seriously, this makes SUCH a cute date. It's so simple. You are not required to make a reservation (they actually do not take reservations at this time). Upon walking in the first thing you'll probably notice is the enormous selection of clay pieces. They range from very small knick-knacks to large vases. It's totally affordable too, priced as low as $8 to as high as $80. Pick your piece, paint it however you like. The hardest part will be waiting the week-long period for it to be fired. My husband and I had so much fun picking our piece, choosing the colors and applying them! I was so stoked to pick them up! The glaze goes on very light, because the clay sort of "absorbs" it, so I didn't really know how my creation would turn out. What an awesome surprise! My piece is the ghost plant ($22.00) and my husband painted the plant pot ($20.00). We are totally in love with A Way with Clay. I'm already setting dates up with friends and family so I can bring home more adorable creations and to have fun! I hope this small business THRIVES. It deserves every single award and all the recognition in the world. Thanks for bringing such a fun activity to the Treasure Valley, guys. I can't wait to be back!

We got there at 10am on a Friday morning and it was nice and quiet and not busy until about 11/11:30am. We took 2 hours to help our kids paint 2 items each. My son (5) and daughter (9) both enjoyed their visit! The inside is kept nice, organized and clean. The ladies working today were wonderful! *Prices are a bit high in my opinion. For 1 Small/Medium item, 2 Small items and 1 Mini item we paid $112.36 (with tax), but I know the business has to be able to make a profit as well. We will be back, and we'll probably just paint 2 small items next visit so that it's more affordable for a fun craft outing. Thank you A Way with Clay! What a nice place for people to enjoy a fun hobby! Would be a great place for a Ladies Night Out.

During my visit, I found high-quality model kits, including a Huey gunship helicopter and a 1979 Pontiac Firebird. Their selection of specialty crafts is also excellent. I was able to pick up a stained glass kit and a soldering iron for a new project. Additionally, I found the perfect picture frame to display a concert photo. The staff was helpful, and the checkout process was smooth. This is my go-to spot for model building and DIY projects in the Meridian area. Highly recommended!

Looking for sand dollars dishes, yeah they have it. Here's a PRO-TIP. Their website has coupons and or coupon codes. Make sure to have them on your phone or use the mobile app son you can get a discount on top of the already discounted specials. The staff is friendly and very polite. On one occasion, I was looking for white Christmas bulbs and didn't see any stocked on the shelves. I did see them stocked on the very top shelf. An employee Roberto was looking at my perplexed face and said, " I can get those down for you. How many do you want?" Kudos to Roberto for recognizing an issue and acting on it before me or anyone else pestering him to go get the ladder. Young man, Roberto, that intuitive customer service will take you places. As for the moss, paint by numbers Gnomes, picture frames and thr assorted comic book decor for any Marvel or DC man cave, Hobby Lobby has it If you're lucky enough to have the cash on hand to take advantage of the discounts, do it and have no regrets because it won't be there long. Well, maybe the Christmas Chihuahua dressed in a purple robe may still be there in February.

If you're the sort of person who fancies putting pen to paper, this is your spot. Most recently, I wandered into Paperie and Pen during the holidays in search of Christmas cards from a local letter press. They had a beautiful supply of individual and boxed holiday card sets from a variety of small letterpresses. After some searching, I found some lovely options from local letterpress, Ladybug Press. With my boxes in hand, I began to venture toward the cash register. But, wait! Are those local tees from Banana Ink? Yes. Yes, they are. They have a nice selection of locally printed tees. Banana Ink works with local artists and designers to create a line of Idaho inspired tees, hoodies, hats, and other wearables. And, while, you could make the trip to downtown Boise to their shop to pick something up--it's nice to know that their stuff can be found in Meridian as well! I was able to find an awesome tee for a Christmas gift. I also noticed that they carry a range of beard products from local barber shop, The Beardsmith. A little unlikely, perhaps, but pretty awesome to see this local business so supportive of other local businesses (really amazing ones to boot!). They also do a variety of fun and crafty workshops on occasion (ie: In February, they're offering a Modern Calligraphy workshop). Such a gem of a stationary shop! I look forward to wandering in each and every time I find myself making the trip from Boise to The Village. Get to it!
