DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! My wife and I visited their showroom on 12/27 and scheduled an in-home design consultation with Mary O'Connor for 1/3. A few days later they called me to cancel that appointment and schedule a new one with a different designer (Penny Mason) on a different date (1/4). We were a bit disappointed about the delay, but agreed to reschedule. On the new consultation date the designer didn't show up and there was no communication from the company since then. My wife posted a review, but the owner reported her review instead of contacting her to investigate the situation first. We bought a new house and had zero window coverings. Creative blinds to the rescue! Erika helped me to pick out all the covering options that would work for our windows (we have some small and some huge ones) and really worked with me to quote out some of the options so we could decide which things we wanted to splurge on. In the end we ended up with some Roman shades, mostly roller shades and a set of blackout curtains in the bedroom. They all turned out beautifully. Process: Erika came to get a measurement of the windows and get a feel for the house, I went to the show room and picked the samples with Erika, Jimmy came to do the final measurements before ordering, Jimmy then came back to install. My 5 year old Hunter Douglas Duette blinds wouldn't close. I brought them back to Creative Blinds for warranty work. I was told the warranty was only 5 years and charged $108 fee for the repair. After paying Creative Blinds I called Hunter Douglas. They advised me that the blinds were covered under their 7 year warranty. I called Creative Blinds and told them of the overcharge. The manager told me the girl working there was new and didn't know the warranty coverages. The manager finally agreed to refund me $50 stating that the remaining $58 was to cover their shipping charges. I called Hunter Douglas one more time and was told I should pay nothing as they reimburse the store for shipping. Hunter Douglas agreed to refund me the entire $108. I will never deal with those crooks at Creative Blinds again. read more

This has been an advventure to say the least. I ordered my 7 blinds in November 2013, paid my money (not cheap!) and still await completion on Feb 13, 2014! Sad but true. Also sad is that customer service is of low importance. When I call to check my status, I am offered no apology for the delay but defensiveness. They sent their people out to measure for the blinds ($50 measure fee), mis-measured them and my blinds have gone back twice since the initial attempt to install. If you want your blinds done in a timely manner, done right the first time or want to be treated as a customer and not a bother - this is definitely NOT the place you want to use. read more

I have to say that the in-store assistance and sales were excellent. The installation and service however are poor. I had roller shades and shutters installed in my new home. One roller shade gave us trouble from the start. Upon careful examination we see that only one screw out of four was put in to hold up the shade in a large window. We went to the showroom, then Penny, their design specialist, came out and did the measurements and helped us with our blind selections. I second the earlier review of Creative Blinds. We were initially impressed with someone coming out to measure our blinds the next day after we walked into the store and requested a quote. Measurements were taken and suggestions were made and we ended up ordering the blinds on the spot at our appointment and were told it would take 5-6 weeks for them to be installed. We paid IN FULL the same day, again not cheap at all, and it has now been THREE MONTHS and our blinds have still not arrived. We had to have someone else come out and remeasure our windows after the initial appointment and were even given an estimated date of installation 2 weeks ago now, but the day came and no one called. Also when they came to measure the second time, they called and asked if they could come in 30 minutes. No heads up or advance notice at all. We are extremely displeased with the company and I wish we could get all of our money back because this is beyond too long and too much hassle for 2 windows! read more
