    Wedding Cake
    Mramuto A.

We absolutely loved our Wedding cake made by Creative Cakes. Since we live up in NorCal and the wedding was to take place in SoCal, it was hard to coordinate everything from distance. However Creative Cakes made it possible and easy for us. My in-law was kind enough to visit Creative Cakes to do tasting on our behalf. We had some idea of design/color/filling of the cake and everything was communicated via email. When they brought the cake to the reception, I fell in love immediately. We were so happy with it and the cake was delicious. Our wedding guests loved the cake as well. I will recommend Creative Cakes to everyone.

    Beautiful sunflowers.

I wanted to order a vegan cake here to try it out. I usually don't like eating cake, more like a savory eating person than liking sweet food. I am in charge to order a monthly birthday cake at work for a group of people at work. September was my birthday month so I decided to order from this bakery and decided on a vegan cake. It was fabulous. There are only 2 kinds of cake: chocolate or carrot for vegans (I wish there are more). I chose chocolate and raspberry mousse. The decor was outstanding. It was beyond my expectations. I was asked what kind of decoration and I just said sunflowers because I love them. I was so amazed that the frosting was so so smooth all over the cake and that the flowers were so beautiful, made from fondant. YAY! People at work liked it. There were some leftover that I took home to my husband. He liked it. I will definitely order from this place again.

When I found Creative Cakes, I was in a tight spot. I offered to provide a cake for a big 50th birthday celebration just two weeks out from the event. As I started contacting bakeries, I discovered most need a minimum 6 weeks lead time, some 3 months. Panic set in. Cheryll at Creative Cakes talked me off the ledge right away. She promised they could make my cake and deliver in time for the party at the Newport Beach Yacht Club. She was super helpful on the design. Their instagram has great content/examples of their work. She was especially helpful in what size cake I needed and flavors. On her advice we settled on one large sheet cake and two personalized cakes for the birthday boys so they could blow out their own candles. It was absolutely perfect. The cakes arrived on time, they were beautiful, AND delicious. I cannot tell you how many compliments we received. If you are anywhere in Orange County, this should be on your short list of go-to venders for parties.

Princess Hello Kitty!!! Meow Meow Meow Meow Meow. What do you get when the cool crowd wants to bowl with a Princess Cake and a Hello Kitty Cake? See the photo! The big 5. Yup, that is a birthday everyone remembers..hopefully. Cheryl was my hostess who sat patiently both times I visited. The second visit was with my little one. After a locked vote with her little group of friends between Princess and Hello Kitty, one of the girls said "both!" Hello Kitty Princess cake with a tiara! The cake was for 46 people, pink butter cream frosting, chocolate cake, and cookies and cream filling ran about $85. I visited much cheaper and much more expensive places. This one fell right in the middle but also had the most friendly and patient staff. Little girls can be picky! No fooling and they took care of us here. The party goers loved it and the little girls fell into a daze staring at it. Even the boys liked it despite it being all pink. Creative Cakes was great. I am a fan.

We tried out Creative Cakes based on a recommendation from a friend of mines. They are located in Old Town Orange in a small strip of stores. Google maps will get you lost. In fact I think it brought us to their new location that is still being build. So we were a tad late, but it wasn't an issue. The way the shop is set up looks like at least 3 or 4 tastings go on at the same time. And when you walk in there are displays of cakes and designs. This is useful for the couples that have no idea what they want. They give you such a wide variety of samples. We enjoyed the chocolate with chocolate chip, white with bavarian cream with raspberry jam, and the lemon with raspberry mousse. Another cool thing is they do offer you an anniversary cake, included in the price. Overall they are reasonably priced ($4-6 per serving), and 50% off a delivery discount if you sign with them within 1 week from your tasting. And they do take credit card. Deposit is $200, final balance due 21 days before the event. Still one to consider for the budgeting bride.

Our wedding cake came with our package from Vellano. It came out perfect! The style, the colors, and flavors, were all better than I imagined!!! The red velvet with cream cheese, chocolate cake with cappuccino, and white cake with raspberry bavarian creme are to die for!!!!

I ordered a custom-made cake for my father's 60th bday. And it came out amazing. Cheryll did an awesome job the molding the shape and colors, and finessing the small details. I personally love how she did the cigs and ashtray All the guests were impressed. I will definitely come back.

Beautiful, delicious, and whimsical cake! Words cannot express how happy we are with Creative Cakes in Orange. The bear on the cake had depth in his fur!! Not only did the cake look super beyond incredible, the moistness and flavor of the cake matched it's exterior! Not only were they easy to communicate with but they were able to put into life better than what I envisioned in my design for a Woodland Themed baby shower cake. The customer service was professional, spot-on every step of the way. From the moment I emailed Creative Cakes.. to all the times I called to re-schedule the party, they always responded promptly, calmly and with good understanding. I will now definitely get my Cakes here from now on. I wish I got my wedding cake here 2 years ago!!

This cake was delicious! White cake with Chocolate buttercream and gold drip with shards of chocolate. It was a total hit!

We've ordered countless sculpted cakes from Creative Cakes over the years from a police badge, to a purse to a sushi roll to an apple with a worm sticking out. Every occasion, every shape. This year we ordered a special cake for my Father-in-Law. White cake with chocolate mousse inside, chocolate buttercream on the outside, gold drip and shards of marbleized chocolate. It was a complete hit! It was so good that we took the leftovers to our friend's house (since my Father-in-Law took a few slices to go and was going out of town) and we enjoyed it even more the second day! I should also add that my father-in-law is a former baker. So we got him the best cake because his tastebuds know good buttercream and good cake! The easiest part was the ordering! I went in and in less than 10 minutes I had paid for and ordered my cake. Thank you, Creative Cakes for making every birthday and special occasion so memorable.

Highly recommend!!! Ordered a cake for my best friend wedding and they made it look beyond imaginable. The simplicity and elegance is what made the cake really stand out. *added natural flowers myself* Thank you once again! will be ordering more cakes soon.

My parent's retirement cake - the attention to detail on the airstream was amazing. It FAR exceeded our expectations

I highly HIGHLY recommend Creative Cakes for your special occasion cake needs. Let me put it this way, I moved to Orange County 6 months ago and I have already used them 3 TIMES!! I find myself looking for excuses to order a cake just so I can see the amazing work the team at Creative Cakes produces, haha. Not only are the cakes visually stunning, but the team is highly collaborative on the design and the actual cake always tastes amazing. Super moist every time, and there's a great variety of flavors to chose from. Their prices are also super reasonable, especially given the amount of work their designers must put into these cakes to make them so spectacular!

Our wedding has come and gone but I still dream of our cake!! It was amazing!! We got so many compliments on how yummy the cupcakes tasted!! We decided for our wedding we wanted a small baked cake for us to enjoy and our guest received cupcakes! It was such a big hit!! I decided last minute I wanted our cupcakes to look like Starbucks cups, I provided the supples and they assembled the cupcakes to look like little lattes. It was perfect and everyone thought it was so cute! There was no wedding drama, the whole process of ordering a cake was simple, the cake was on time, and the experience was peasant! All of this really matters when you're a bride ! Lol They are also supplying us with a wedding anniversary cake which was literally the sweetest gift! :)

Really this is the best you can do for a GENDER REVEAL cake??? Had to examine closely to make sure it was blue and check the ultrasound!
    Kristina V.

Trust me I really want to LOVE this place but after 2 bad experiences I just can't. First of all I would give 5 stars for the appearance since they always do a great job on the outside, but cakes are meant to be eaten so it's all about the inside! Strike one: our gender reveal cake...they nailed the outside perfectly but when we cut into the cake with 30 of our closest friends and family we could not even tell the gender! They were suppose to put either "blue" or "pink" frosting so one would think it would be pretty obvious. Nope! Talk about anti-climatic. And no it had nothing to do with how we cut it (since I anticipate that might be a response based on other reviews!). We had to check the ultrasound to make sure it was a boy. I gave them another chance about a week or so ago for our baptism cake. We ordered marble with fudge in the middle. What we got was fudge with barely any cake. The fudge filling was thicker than the cake! Everyone commented that the cake they could actually taste was delicious. Everyone's plates were filled with chunks of fudge. It was just way to much and embarrassing ($100 cake too). My mom tried calling to let them know and they were pretty rude on the phone. Disappointing because I really want to love this place but will move on...

Here's my buttercream-soaked ribbon. Notice how it's completely different from the original color of the bow. Sniff! So sad!

I ordered the Káiser, and it was as pretty as it was delicious. The combination of marzipan and fresh strawberries was unique, balanced, and not overly sweet.
