Found this little gem on Yelp. Parking can be a bit of a challenge but this Saturday night there were plenty. Walking in, the place is plenty big. No one greeted us as she was in the back working on an ice cream order. It took a long time as she was the only one working. It gave me plenty of time to decide what to get as the selection is plenty! Once she served me, she was helpful. I believe she's the owners daughter. The Dubai chocolate cannoli I got was pretty good as well as the cake. Such a great spot!

    Dubai Chocolate (Small $18)

I always pass by this place and decided to try the Dubai chocolate. This was my first time ever entering a middle eastern bakery and all the baked goods in the display looked so good! The small dubai chocolate came out to $18. Was my first time trying it. It was good however I wished the strawberries were cold, would've made it more refreshing. I will say that there wasn't a menu for prices to be displayed though. Overall I would come back to try the other pastries!

Before they added the extra topping.

The gentleman who assisted me was great. I'm pretty sure he was the owner. He was very helpful with suggesting the Dubai chocolate cakes for my nieces bday party. I was impressed with the quality and taste of the cakes. Everyone at the party raved about it. I have been here a handful of times and the have never been disappointed. I continue to recommend them to friends. Thank you.

I always pass by this and finally came to try it a few days ago, very clean and organized with their desserts. The girl working the front was very nice. At the time I came I'm not sure if they have a menu but I wasn't expecting the prices after I paid I was a little shocked but the large Dubai strawberry cup was about $23-25 I believe the smaller one is $18? It does come with a lot but I feel other places it's cheaper. They sell a variety of dessert though that I still want to try.

    Delicious cakes

The best bakery in OC located in Anaheim only few minutes from Disneyland. If you want to enjoy ice cream, delicious traditional booze w/ pistachio, cakes, coffee and amazing cookies. I tried most of their cakes but my two favorite are carrot cake and red velvet. Both are only seasonal and you have to order them ahead of time but so worth of the wait. They have an amazing customer service specially the owner Maher. He is the best always welcome you with a smile and very nice. I definitely recommend visiting Le Mirage Pastries.

This is a small family owned pastry shop in a tiny strip mall. They have pastries, cakes, ice cream, Dubai chocolate, coffee and much more. It is small, so seating is limited. We got an opera cake, a pistachio slice and a small coffee to have right there, along with some other items to take home. All the pastry slices were good, we enjoyed them. Same goes for the Dubai chocolate cup, but it is expensive with 18 bucks for the small one. I took stars off, because we were charged for incorrect items and also overcharged for two items that we didn't buy. Coffee was correct Dubai chocolate cup was correct But ... as seen in our photos, we got a slice of opera cake, pistachio cake to eat there and a slice of mango, 2 strawberry and a coconut cake to go. That's 6 pastries, on the receipt we were charged for a total of 8! Three were listed individually and one item reads "individual cake x 5" Furthermore, we were charged for some that we didn't buy. We did not get a cheesecake, Bombay slice or fruit tart. No idea if those cost the same of what we truly got?! And considering that it's somewhat pricey to begin with, it matters when you are overcharged on top of that. Check your receipt.

    So much

Very long line but it was worth the wait. Very kind and generous service. I especially like the gelato and the cheesecakes. The site looks very modern and it's a grab and go shop, some seating to stay for a bit.

If you love fruit Tart Pastries as much as I do, and hate being in a long line and dealing with the parking at Portos, please give this place a try. Theres always parking, no long line, and delicious desserts. They also have a pistachio ice cream which is so yummy. The place was also recently remodeled and a cute place to grab a dessert with a friend or family.

Dubai chocolate brownie, yes please. The people that work here are nice people! I've been here twice and love the brownie, and almond cookies. So many sweet baked goods.

I accidentally fumbled the box, and it still looks delicious: Triple Chocolate Mousse

I had to bring a last minute dessert for a themed-movie marathon and was so glad to find Le Mirage Pastry. What's even better is that it's a family-owned business, and I was able to meet the sweet owner. My friends really enjoyed the chocolate mousse. Will definitely come back again!

    Dubai chocolate strawberries (large)
    Tina T.

My friend and I came here to try the Dubai chocolate covered strawberries. We shared a large and it was pretty good! The chocolate was creamy, not too sweet. I love the crunch in it too. It is a bit overpriced though, for the large I believe it was 22-23$. The bakery had a lot of yummy looking cakes, cookies, other desserts but we didn't get a chance to try them yet. There are a few small tables inside.

Tried the Dubai chocolate covered strawberries here for the first time! I thought it was ok, but it was definitely overpriced. I got the small size and it was $17.99. The large was $22.99. The strawberries were yummy, but it wasn't worth the price in my opinion. As for the service, I think getting the strawberries quickly just depends on when you go. I arrived when someone else was already waiting for their order, so it was fast when I got it. The parking lot is also small, but I think that shouldn't be a problem! They had a lot of other pastries that look good though. I would've tried something else too but $17.99 was already enough lol, so maybe next time!

Is the bouza (ice cream) dairy free?

No, it contains milk. Here's a YouTube link with the info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7z-u6zCO7Q

Where do they source their pistachios from?

I'd love to try their ice cream but I'm allergic to pistachios...do they have other flavors?

I think this is the only ice cream they have. Give them a call to make sure.

How much is the ice cream?

    $20 lb

TAWDI appeared highly rated, but it was also basically the only choice. Walking in to Mickey Mouse greeting you, it's a very homely, organized, and oddly empty shop with some Middle Eastern influence. They are big on marketing for their Dubai chocolate offerings, which I did try. The lady who helped was very kind, offering us each a sample by the chocolate type we liked. As she explained how they make chocolate in the back daily, I had to inquire about popular selections and what some flavors were. Basically, they seem to focus on Dubai chocolates and have some imported goods from Lebanon. While I trust that they make chocolates daily, I have to question how much, what flavors, and what is being turned over, because the sample I ate and the chocolates I opened up later certainly had obvious chocolate bloom, and yes they were stored at an appropriate temperature and eaten on the same day. At the price these pieces were, they certainly shouldn't have chocolate bloom nor taste like old chocolate. The filling of their Dubai bar was nice, crunchy, and moist, but the exterior chocolate shell didn't really have a taste. I am fine with paying a premium for premium-tasting chocolate and often do it, but I would have preferred eating grocery store chocolate, honestly. I'm not sure what others are tasting or whether people reviewing TAWDI are actually into chocolate, but I was disappointed when I didn't enjoy these.

The plaza has plenty of parking and houses a few other ethnic restaurants and spas, so it's very easy to get to during a Disneyland trip. They also have a wide variety of baklava and fresh knafeh right there ready to cut, which is a sweet cheese dessert with a fun kataifi crunch. The gentleman who helped me was very kind, though there was a slight language barrier. He let me try a bunch of nuts when I inquired - and I sort of had to, since several varieties were unlabeled, or just had a sign for what they were, or what the flavor was, but not vice versa. The nuts were good and seemed like a good and healthy snack to bring into a theme park or to have at home. I thought the flavors I tried were hard to distinguish from another after a while, and subtle. I had the fresh Dubai chocolate and thought it was pretty nice, distinctly bitter, nutty, moist, with tons of fresh kataifi crunch. You do have to keep it refrigerated though, as I assume it's made with ingredients that wouldn't hold well together at room temperature - typically a better sign in terms of paleo diets if you've ever made paleo chocolates for yourself. It's a bit atypical from other Dubai chocolate as the filling quantity here is uniquely generous. It's very rare to see a cute, almost timeless shop like this, containing lots of traditional and authentic goods. Would enjoy revisiting to try their coffee and the nearby food.
