Found this little gem on Yelp. Parking can be a bit of a challenge but this Saturday night there were plenty. Walking in, the place is plenty big. No one greeted us as she was in the back working on an ice cream order. It took a long time as she was the only one working. It gave me plenty of time to decide what to get as the selection is plenty! Once she served me, she was helpful. I believe she's the owners daughter. The Dubai chocolate cannoli I got was pretty good as well as the cake. Such a great spot!

I will say that there wasn't a menu for prices to be displayed though. Overall I would come back to try the other pastries!

The gentleman who assisted me was great. I'm pretty sure he was the owner. He was very helpful with suggesting the Dubai chocolate cakes for my nieces bday party. I was impressed with the quality and taste of the cakes. Everyone at the party raved about it. I have been here a handful of times and the have never been disappointed. The best bakery in OC located in Anaheim only few minutes from Disneyland. If you want to enjoy ice cream, delicious traditional booze w/ pistachio, cakes, coffee and amazing cookies. I tried most of their cakes but my two favorite are carrot cake and red velvet. Both are only seasonal and you have to order them ahead of time but so worth of the wait. They have an amazing customer service specially the owner Maher. He is the best always welcome you with a smile and very nice. I definitely recommend visiting Le Mirage Pastries.

This is a small family owned pastry shop in a tiny strip mall. They have pastries, cakes, ice cream, Dubai chocolate, coffee and much more. It is small, so seating is limited. We got an opera cake, a pistachio slice and a small coffee to have right there, along with some other items to take home. All the pastry slices were good, we enjoyed them. Same goes for the Dubai chocolate cup, but it is expensive with 18 bucks for the small one. I took stars off, because we were charged for incorrect items and also overcharged for two items that we didn't buy. Coffee was correct Dubai chocolate cup was correct But ... as seen in our photos, we got a slice of opera cake, pistachio cake to eat there and a slice of mango, 2 strawberry and a coconut cake to go. That's 6 pastries, on the receipt we were charged for a total of 8! Three were listed individually and one item reads "individual cake x 5" Furthermore, we were charged for some that we didn't buy. We did not get a cheesecake, Bombay slice or fruit tart. No idea if those cost the same of what we truly got?! And considering that it's somewhat pricey to begin with, it matters when you are overcharged on top of that. Check your receipt.

Very long line but it was worth the wait. Very kind and generous service. I especially like the gelato and the cheesecakes. The site looks very modern and it's a grab and go shop, some seating to stay for a bit.

If you love fruit Tart Pastries as much as I do, and hate being in a long line and dealing with the parking at Portos, please give this place a try. Theres always parking, no long line, and delicious desserts. They also have a pistachio ice cream which is so yummy. The place was also recently remodeled and a cute place to grab a dessert with a friend or family.

Dubai chocolate brownie, yes please. The people that work here are nice people! I've been here twice and love the brownie, and almond cookies. So many sweet baked goods.

I had to bring a last minute dessert for a themed-movie marathon and was so glad to find Le Mirage Pastry. What's even better is that it's a family-owned business, and I was able to meet the sweet owner. My friends really enjoyed the chocolate mousse. Will definitely come back again!

My friend and I came here to try the Dubai chocolate covered strawberries. We shared a large and it was pretty good! The chocolate was creamy, not too sweet. I love the crunch in it too. It is a bit overpriced though, for the large I believe it was 22-23$. The bakery had a lot of yummy looking cakes, cookies, other desserts but we didn't get a chance to try them yet. There are a few small tables inside.

Tried the Dubai chocolate covered strawberries here for the first time! I thought it was ok, but it was definitely overpriced. I got the small size and it was $17.99. The large was $22.99. The strawberries were yummy, but it wasn't worth the price in my opinion. As for the service, I think getting the strawberries quickly just depends on when you go. I arrived when someone else was already waiting for their order, so it was fast when I got it. The parking lot is also small, but I think that shouldn't be a problem! They had a lot of other pastries that look good though. I would've tried something else too but $17.99 was already enough lol, so maybe next time!

Wow....Quality is high here and as a middle eastern, i can tell the taste is like back home...I ordered their dubai chocolate strawberry because i saw the image in yelp and it was wow...So delicious!!!! My friend ordered 3scoops and all three tastes were so delicious!!!!!! I also bought 4pieces of pastries and they were so yummy...I just tried little piece of them and the rest is for the other days...Everything here makes me to try everything...I love pastries and calories dont count!!!!!! I'll be honest i can eat too much sugar bit in this place, i didnt have feeling i ate too much!!!!Its not too sweet! Service was great...A welcoming, young man helped us and also we joined to their free membership and we got %10 off...The ambiance in inside was so chill...We didnt eat inside but its a great place to sit and enjoy your sweet... Service was good but I personally found the menu items to be overpraised for it's prices. I tried the Bouza and Dubai Chocolate Strawberry and found it to be...okay? It's not a menu item I'd be dying to order again. Bouza also took a while to be served. The texture of the Bouza was interesting and the Dubai chocolate strawberries were pretty underwhelming. The servings are pretty generous, though. There were undoubtedly a ton of pistachios made with each dessert, so if you get nutty for pistachios, this is the place for you. It's only got two tables, so you really have to be strategic if you're trying to dine in. Staff members were friendly, though we didn't interact much. It's located in a small plaza so parking may get a bit challenging during the busier hours. read more

We tried the small dubai chocolate strawberries for $18 and if I could eat this every day, I would! They are super generous with the toppings and the milk chocolate was perfectly melted. The strawberries were also huge, but they weren't that sweet unfortunately (not really the shop's fault). Hopefully when I try it again, the strawberries are nice and ripe :) read more

LOVEEEEE THIS PLACE! the staff and owner were friendly & accommodating! Since it was my first time there I had a lot of questions and the staff definitely took time to answer all my questions. The baklavas had no price on them because the price goes by weight. I believe one lb is about $19 ish and from what you see in my picture it's about a lb worth of sweets. This shop serves authentic Arabic desserts!Bought some cookies from here (not sure what they were called) but the young lady helping me out was amazing at explaining everything! She even helped me sample a little donut I was curious about. I even gave in to the Dubai chocolate covered strawberry trend. Cup was a bit pricy, but worth it. I'd say this is a neighborhood gem, hole in the wall type of place where all the locals get their sweet tooth fixes. So many incredible options for by the slice or serving desserts, baklavas by the pound, whole cakes, and the best Dubai Chocolate Strawberries and Buze pistachio ice cream. My mom loves this shop, we believe it's better than any chain pastry shop we have around! Yesterday I stopped by and picked up a delicious mango cake for our Thanksgiving dinner and loved it! This place is amazing, I brought my mom once for the pastry's an she fell in love (she is really picky)... it is now our go-to for any sweet treat. The baklava is my personal favorite as well as the Dubai strawberries. The service was so sweet and amazing, they were very kind and helpful. The ambiance is also so nice I love how light, put together and clean it is. They also redid the inside and I fell in love it is so beautiful and the colors are my favorite. Le Mirage is the Disneyland of sweets! I preordered a 10 inch Pistachio Cake. Their ordering process on the phone is , quick and easy. When I went to pick up the cake the next day it was all ready for pick up. I also ended up buying the Dubai Chocolate Strawberries. The Dubai Chocolate Strawberries is amazing and the sweet level is perfect. The Pistachio Cake everyone at work loved it. It was delicious and refreshing all at the same time. The way the flavors came together the frosting, cream and cake blended perfectly together and created this amazing delicious cake! I highly recommend it. Meet the Business Owner: Maher N.

Maher Nakhal, who runs a bakery called Le Mirage Pastry, in Anaheim, California, grew up in Damascus eating at Bakdash once a week, a promised treat at the end of days spent shopping with his family. The fifty-five-year-old has been a baker since his late teens, and came to the United States in 1992 at the invitation of his sister. In 2003, he opened his bakery, at the north end of Anaheim's Little Arabia district. More than twenty-five thousand people, primarily of Syrian, Lebanese, Palestinian, and Egyptian descent, live around a four-mile stretch of the district's main thoroughfare, Brookhurst Street, making it one of the largest Middle Eastern enclaves in the United States. Hookah lounges, mosques, kebab houses, and Arab grocery stores occupy shopping plazas that also host tattoo parlors, smoke shops, and car alarm stores. They are big on marketing for their Dubai chocolate offerings, which I did try. The lady who helped was very kind, offering us each a sample by the chocolate type we liked. As she explained how they make chocolate in the back daily, I had to inquire about popular selections and what some flavors were. Basically, they seem to focus on Dubai chocolates and have some imported goods from Lebanon. While I trust that they make chocolates daily, I have to question how much, what flavors, and what is being turned over, because the sample I ate and the chocolates I opened up later certainly had obvious chocolate bloom, and yes they were stored at an appropriate temperature and eaten on the same day. At the price these pieces were, they certainly shouldn't have chocolate bloom nor taste like old chocolate. The filling of their Dubai bar was nice, crunchy, and moist, but the exterior chocolate shell didn't really have a taste. I am fine with paying a premium for premium-tasting chocolate and often do it, but I would have preferred eating grocery store chocolate, honestly. I'm not sure what others are tasting or whether people reviewing TAWDI are actually into chocolate, but I was disappointed when I didn't enjoy these.

Inside, there are tons of stuff from the Levant, spices, halal gummies, imported chocolates, homemade Dubai chocolate, and a huge selection of Turkish delights and roasted nuts made by them. They also have a wide variety of baklava and fresh knafeh right there ready to cut, which is a sweet cheese dessert with a fun kataifi crunch. The gentleman who helped me was very kind, though there was a slight language barrier. He let me try a bunch of nuts when I inquired - and I sort of had to, since several varieties were unlabeled, or just had a sign for what they were, or what the flavor was, but not vice versa. The nuts were good and seemed like a good and healthy snack to bring into a theme park or to have at home. I thought the flavors I tried were hard to distinguish from another after a while, and subtle. I had the fresh Dubai chocolate and thought it was pretty nice, distinctly bitter, nutty, moist, with tons of fresh kataifi crunch. You do have to keep it refrigerated though, as I assume it's made with ingredients that wouldn't hold well together at room temperature - typically a better sign in terms of paleo diets if you've ever made paleo chocolates for yourself. It's a bit atypical from other Dubai chocolate as the filling quantity here is uniquely generous. It's very rare to see a cute, almost timeless shop like this, containing lots of traditional and authentic goods. Would enjoy revisiting to try their coffee and the nearby food.

They'll call out your name and/or number when it's ready. Yes, you can get sundaes, ice cream, and shakes, but you can also get cookies, brownies, and chocolate dipped strawberries. If you want to grab a gift to go, they also have wrapped chocolates by weight and sometimes other packaged goodies too, Christmas and Halloween themed and seasonally themed too (I've seen pumpkin and peppermint flavor with cute bags and packaging) or you can get a cute bear plushie here too. With how hot California weather is, I do recommend picking it up later in the day when it's not going to melt or taking it back to your hotel so it can be in the A/C. I LOVE that they just rethemed the shop to match San Fransokyo so you do see the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, SF, gold miners, etc., but you also see sakura cherry blossom trees and the chocolate ads in katakana are super cute and endearing. There was ample room for our party of seven and there was even jazz music played on the piano apparently between 11 to 3 on the weekends. There was a brunch menu available. Our server was attentive and very pleasant. I would be ordering the jambalaya and blackened salmon again for sure. The gumbo was a bit saltier than I had anticipated so although good, I probably wouldn't order it again since i preferred the taste to the jambalaya better. There was a kids menu which consisted of your typical chicken tenders, cheeseburger, pasta and meatballs, however they did have shrimp as an option with sides of either french fries,vegetables, or fruit. Of course, what is a meal without dessert and they had a variety of beignets which is a must when you are eating New Orleans food. I will be coming back soon. That's how good it was…read more Found them on Instagram and added it to the list immediately -- had to try these churros while we were down in SoCal. Their truck spot in Anaheim is such a vibe, only 8 mins from our hotel near Disneyland so there was no excuse not to go. Jaime helped us figure out what to order our first time which was honestly so needed because the menu is a lot in the best way. We got there with just a couple people in line and by the time we were done ordering it was wrapped to the parking lot around 8pm on a Saturday night. We tried: the Rosca Delgado (traditional thread churro), Churro Delgado with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream + Caramel Drizzle and Butter Pecan Ice Cream + Lechera Drizzle, and the Chocolate Mi Abuelita hot AND iced. If you must pick one - traditional churro + hot chocolate. No lies there. Already planning to pull up to their Santa Ana spot next time we're back in SoCal. Support this family business y'all, worth ittttt.

This is one of those reviews I almost didn't post because I don't want so many people to go here that there is none left for me! But I rarely make it out to Anaheim and this place deserves lots of business. I've come here pre-pandemic, isn't the midst of the pandemic, and also recently as things are opening up again. The baklava has always been delicious and fresh. I once went somewhere closer to my place and that baklava was so old the sugar syrup was very super thick and it kinda had a fermented taste. The folks at La Mirage would NEVER sell that quality of food. I trust them. I've also had the pistachio ice cream a couple of times. It's different than American ice cream, hard to describe the texture. It has loads of pistachios so is if you like pistachios, you must try it. The staff is really friendly and helpful. And will gladly describe what each type of baklava is like for people (like me) that aren't the differences between the various types. read more
