This review is for the first part of our landscape project: namely the design and planning work. I will follow up once the project has been completed with a review of the actual planting. Although I was trained as a Master Gardener in the Monterey Bay area, I had the pleasure to live in Marana for several years so I am familiar with what grows well in that area. Plus I worked for two years in the nursery at Tohono Chul Park, so I knew at least little bit about the area and what plants I wanted to grow. As a result, I had some ideas in mind when it came designing the landscape for the home we were building. I started by providing a list of the types of Sonoran Desert plants of which I am fond and some basic ideas to be considered in the design of our landscape. I could not have been happier with how well the design team listed to my input and then put together a top notch design. In a few instances I had an idea that the design team suggested I might not be as happy with as I thought. So I listened to their advice and gave the go ahead for them to incorporate their ideas into proposed layout. The resulting schematic of the landscaping and photos of a few of the plants they were suggesting really helped me make my decisions. As happy as I was during the pre-design phase, the follow up was even better. Their communication skills and friendliness helped tremendously since we ended up doing most of the planning from 800 miles away. Whether by phone or email, response times to my questions and requests were prompt, clear, and could not have been of better quality That's why I feel the need to provide input before the job is complete. They also interacted well with the Construction Foreman building the house to the actual coordinate landscaping with the completion of the house we are building. I worked primarily with Amy Dougherty and Megan Colon (East). They are the best! read more

We used Creative Environments in 2022 to design and build the landscaping for our new home, spending hundreds of thousands of dollars. While the pricing felt high, we were satisfied at the time with the design quality and overall responsiveness during the install phase. In 2026, we reached back out to Creative Environments to inquire about ongoing monthly maintenance for our trees and bushes. An initial appointment was scheduled, but no one showed up. We were later contacted and told there was a scheduling conflict. The appointment was then rescheduled, and someone did come out to walk the property and discuss what we were looking for. Unfortunately, that's where communication completely broke down. Twelve days after the walkthrough, we still had not received a quote, so I followed up via text with the representative who came out. He responded the following day and said his general manager would be reaching out. Seven more days passed, and we still received no communication, no quote, and no follow-up of any kind. For a company that positions itself as a high-end provider -- and that we previously trusted with a very large investment -- this level of customer service is unacceptable and frustrating. The lack of follow-through and communication is appalling. Based on this experience, I do not recommend using this company, especially if you value responsiveness and basic customer service. read more

Rating: (1 out of 5 stars) I've been a customer of Creative for over ten years and have seen them do dozens of pools for others. Their landscaping and new builds are impressive, but their pool service is a complete disaster. After years of trusting them, I'm left with a green, mosquito-infested swamp instead of a clean, functioning pool. Despite repeated calls and complaints, they refuse to take any responsibility--it's like they're running away from their mistakes in record time, as if it's a 40-yard dash or a marathon away from accountability. I'm appalled by the lack of professionalism and care. Do yourself a favor: if you want a beautiful landscape or a new build, maybe consider them, but if you care about your pool, steer clear. I had an RV garage, Casita and a swimming pool put in by Creative Environments about 2 years ago. The RV Garage and Casita were okay. The pool looks like crap. I turned them into the register and he said I got an RV garage and a pool and a casita. So there was nothing he could do. Here are photos of the pool. This end result is the 3rd pool they put in. Because most reviews are connected with an emotional experience, I thought it was important to write this review strictly based on a chronological list of facts/occurrences. Contract/Billing Details Creative Environments recommended Toll Brothers partnership. Reputation for quality work, design and detail. Initial conversations, July 2023. Continued through mid-October to define project scope and cost. Project scope expanded (ramada construction) and finalized costs. Project work began November 2024. Both parties aware of late Feb/early March 2024 deadline. Provided Designer with a photo mood board to provide direction on style preferences. Creative refused to share plans with us based on a mistrust that we would subcontract out work. 3D department was "too busy," to complete final renderings. We were encouraged to move forward. Communication and Project Management Inconsistent project management. We were told weekly check-ins to assess project progress. Reduced to occasional phone calls. Delays were dismissed. We were told this would not affect overall project time frame. Designer moved on to other projects, communication came to a halt. This forced a meeting with Regional Supervisor to resume text message updates from Construction Manager. Permit delays with the city of Mesa due to incorrect welding specs; delayed our project by weeks. Structure was delayed further due to all six welders getting the flu at the same time. 1-2 week delay. Designer suddenly leaves the company and stops responding to our messages. No communication from company. No dedicated project manager assigned to our account. Construction Manager didn't know finishing details. Suddenly leaves company. No communication. Another 1 week delay. Crews/workers show up unscheduled that caused disruptions to our work schedules. Construction Issues/Professionalism * Damage to cinder block wall at gate entry due to construction vehicle moving through the area. Front side yard completely destroyed. * Shot Crete crew shouting profanity in our backyard when pouring the pool interior. Family in town and two small kids listening. * Delay in appliance installation after pressing us for delivery deadlines. * Incorrect gas line installation for grill counter. Received appliance selections months in advance. 3 weeks to address replacing the gas line. Missing lights pool. Included in plan, but missed during construction. Another week delay. Required retrofitting of the electrical, additional demo, construction, and wasted material. No communication. * Decking around the pool pathways were too narrow to walk on based on the original design. We were charged a $7,500 change order. Demanded payment for the change order before the project could continue. We paid within two days. Project sat for three weeks. * A/C units were not initially raised to prevent water from pool from coming into the units. * Substandard decking material installed. 50% of decking replaced. * Sharp stone edges on bar counter. Not sanded or joined properly. Unsafe. * Appliance installation incomplete. Parts left in boxes. Sink installation incomplete. * Entire job site was caked with dirt, mud, trash, boxes, and construction debris. * Additional decking left on driveway causing damage to our vehicle. Delays/Scheduling * Initial project completion was set for mid to late February (4 month time frame). * No work would be done during the Christmas holiday. Crew shows up unannounced and works through holiday at 6am. * Pool tile complete in a few days. Project sat again 3 weeks. * Late February: Meeting set with Regional Supervisor to walk the property and review the project timeline because of delays, incomplete work, shoddy construction and attention to detail. * Regional Supervisor agreed that the construction details/quality of work was not up to his standards. Promised a reasonable schedule and that our new deadline would be March 8. The revised scheduled was immediately off schedule, delayed more than a month. * Completion date has since changed four times. * Project did not complete until June 2024. * Multiple attempts to reach CEO/President as a last resort. * Crews almost walked off job for poor communication. Construction Manager pleaded for them to stay. Finances * No delays when it was time to collect a payment. Designer would drive to our house to collect a physical check. * Two large installment payments made based on progress dates. Two additional change order fees for additional decking. * Months of delays, countless interruptions, overall poor project management, and substandard construction. * Settlement for discounted project fees was applied after financial strong-arming. * Creative claimed that all electronic records of project details destroyed based on system data compromise. Forced to sign promissory note to pay balance despite no delinquencies in payments. * CEO refused to return calls after project was finished to discuss final outcome. * Over $215,000 paid read more

Absolutely do not bother with this company. They charge insulting prices and are extremely unprofessional (with the exception of our designer, Mark) The workmanship was horrible, communication with the project manager was a joke. He was extremely rude and unprofessional and actually quite lazy. We hired them to put in our irrigation and they did not place enough emitters or time on our trees and they are dying or dead. And Julio the one in charge says it's our problem because we didn't spend the ridiculous amount of money on their trees. The trees were properly planted by Whitfill nursery and CE had the job to properly set up the irrigation. They failed. We had leaks before the job was even completed and it appears we still do. All I know is we have spent about 100k on our yard and we have dead trees. Run from this company!!!! read more

I had creative environments come out to repair some things that my RV garage builder had damaged, which was our water line to Ramada & fill system for hot tub. They came out on time, explained everything to me & charged a very fair price. The crew was courtesy & polite. They did an amazing job. Called them out after Warranty was out to fix pool pump. It was losing prime. They charged me $250 for 15 min of standing around did not fix the problem. Told me I needed to run the pump 24/7 or it would lose prime. Not true. Also the technician said I wouldn't be billed since he didn't do anything. A lie twice. read more

Creative Environments is without question the BEST IN CLASS! My designer took the time to really get to know us and our vision for our backyard. They ask all the right questions and take so much pride in the work. Designer was with me every step of the way. Incredibly disappointed. We had John come to our home twice in April to discuss plans for a (6 figure) backyard renovation. We were told they needed 5-7 weeks to create the plans. We finally booked an appointment, 3 months later, to review their plans and John had forgotten our appointment. No follow up, apology or attempt to reschedule. We have now lost three months of our time and have to start from scratch with a new landscape architect. read more

The bottom line is that dealing with Creative Environments has been an abysmal customer experience. We decided to step back and not do a review, but it has now come time to express our sincere disappointment since no one from Creative Environments has taken the time to resolve our situation. When a customer is dissatisfied because of the lack of communication and months and months of zero contact regarding a project that started with many mistakes, a vendor would likely attempt to resolve the matter professionally. But instead, they charge insulting fees to fix their errors. Furthermore, our project was supposed to take four months to complete a small patio, but here we are, 1.5 years later, because they don't take a moment to understand their customer's concerns. They ignore emails, and subsequently, everything snowballs to the point that they are in breach of contract. They said they could tell me where to put some plants to change the yard. Their fee for deciding where to put some plants was $15,000, that wasn't including any of the plants or labor. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Creative Environments! After terrible experiences with other contractors, this was a breath of fresh air. SO MUCH COMMUNICATION! It was refreshing, all the staff were friendly, professional, timely, and considerate. We worked closely with Jeff and he really pulled through. He listened to what we really wanted for our yard and came back with a plan that met our budget. We had a tight timeline to completely finish our backyard (it was mostly dirt from a home remodel) and he was able to get our project through quickly so we would be done in time to host Thanksgiving. The BEST customer service. I received calls and texts from their customer service team checking in on the project. Everything was laid out from the beginning regarding cost and timelines. Never felt uninformed or surprised. And the quality is beautiful. So well done. The people working in our yard were courteous and never left a mess. We plan to re-do our front yard this next year and will 100% use them again. Highly recommend!!!! read more

review for creative This is my first review of Creative Environments and I will try to be as accurate as possible without letting my frustration take complete control. Our home builder has a relationship with creative and they are the preferred landscape/pool company for our home builder. We were given an incentive to work with Creative and as part of the incentive Creative was to complete the job on or slightly after our closing date. We signed our contract, and made our deposits to Creative Environments in February of 2021. Our house was set to close September 2021. By the end of March 2021 we had met with Creative and made all of our option selections. Our plans were set and my wife and I had fulfilled our end of the agreement. Fast-forward to August of 2021 when we confirmed our exact closing date of September 30th, 2021 Creative emailed us that the travertine we chose they no longer carried. Which means they didn't order any of our materials (including travertine), and when they attempted to order our materials (almost 5 months later), they were told it's not available. They then gave us 3 options of travertine; 1 option was a big downgrade (for the same price as our original option) and the brown/yellow color of it would clash with the colors of our home. So that option was no good. The other 2 options were much better but there was an uncharge of $5k, which they wanted us to cover. After a heated discussion Creative did agree to cover roughly half the cost. Either way we had to pay additional out of our pocket even though they dropped the ball to begin with. Thats not all... The new travertine we chose is sourced from turkey and they estimated 8 weeks before shipping. The travertine issue threw a wrench in everything since the whole back yard and our courtyard relies on that to be installed first before completing the rest. Present time. Our backyard does have a pool that has been dug, but no shotcrete yet and have now been given 2 failed dates on when that will occur. So even though there is a hole in our backyard it's still just dirt. Our patio is still dirt. Our courtyard is still dirt. And even though we don't need travertine for our front yard, that is sadly also still DIRT. I have been trying to get answers from out construction manager Kolten, and protect manager Ted Campbell but it seems that we are not important enough clients to receive a response. Its been 6 months now and the majority of our landscape is still dirt. As you can see I am beyond frustrated. I can understand material shortages, I can understand labor shortages, I can understand bad weather conditions as reasons for delays. What I can not understand is poor customer service, not ordering product with 6 months of time, not responding to a paying client, and not having a reliable plan even after dropping the ball. The final work I've seen from other creative customers looks amazing. But when I speak to the owners they've also had similar experiences. Creative Environments makes promises of how wonderful their services are, but they do not deliver. I contacted Creative Environments on Friday, 10/15/21, with a request to plant a cactus garden in the backyard of my property. I asked for a meeting and a quote for the cost of the project. The receptionist at Creative Environments with whom I spoke informed me that the "Design Team" would be "getting back to me" within 48 hours. I advised the receptionist that "the early bird gets the worm." I received this response today from "Ted" at Creative Environments: "To our valued clients, Thank you for reaching out to Creative Environments. We apologize, but we are not able to properly address your needs for the design or build of your project. We must respectfully decline your request for our services, to better serve the clients we have already committed to. The continued fluctuations in supply chain and labor issues have made it increasingly difficult to manage through an unprecedented time in the construction industry. In addition, demand for new construction and remodels are increasingly growing as people look to improve their home in the "new normal" we are all facing. Each day brings a new challenge, as the building community works to stabilize and meet the needs of all our new and existing residents. By limiting the number of clients we are working with, we will look to maintain the level of customer service and integrity that has made us a leader in the Greater Phoenix area for over 70 years. The level of outdoor living that people are looking for has never been greater, and the complexity of the projects we are working on has never been higher. We do not want to water-down the work we do, and feel it is necessary to take this step to maintain our standards for the design-build process. We certainly cannot predict what the coming months will bring, and when things may begin to normalize for our market. Perhaps by the fall, we will be able to re-evaluate the situation and have the resources and time to properly address the demands for our services. We appreciate every opportunity we are given, and will gladly accept more when we can properly service people with industry leading and awarding winning designs. We tour couple of toll homes. Their tiles and pavers has crack in a homes that dont have more than a year old. And one of their pool had functionality issue. No response, above market charges. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't use Creative Environments for ANYTHING. They were a preferred builder for Toll Brothers in Morrison Ranch LVT South. We chose them because they could start construction before anyone else. Except, our pool isn't done yet 3 neighbors around us have had pool completed (by other builders). Poor construction, communication and follow through. Our construction super went missing at end of project. The VP Julio made things worse. Everything they touch breaks. read more

The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is for the design. If I had to do it again, I would not use Creative. When I talked to someone there about my issues, they begged me not to go to the owner. I don't think the owner would take my call based on the lack of return phone calls I asked for from my designer's boss....see below. It's a shame the owner doesn't know about the horrible customer service and poor workmanship his team provides. The customer service is disgraceful. Where do I begin.....They made assumptions of where the gas line would go at the house without talking to the builder. When they were wrong, they charged me over $2,000 for a change order for their wrong assumption. When I asked to talk to the designer's boss, I could not get the name of the individual. The crew that worked on the pool, left garbage in the pool and yard from their half eaten lunch, to soda cans to cigarette butts just to name a few items and yes I have the pictures to prove this. When I brought this to their attention I got a "sorry" but no one came to clean it up other than my wife so our dogs wouldn't eat the food. They also didn't bring their own hoses to fill up my pool. They turned on the water and left and never told me how long it would take to fill the pool and when to turn off the water....real good communication. They missed deadlines....They provided a schedule for the last two weeks of work and after week four, the designer told me that it was an estimate and in construction deadlines don't mean anything, they're just estimates. You mean, you can't make a deadline in the last two weeks of a project???? Come on....I was told by the project manager that I was the number one priority and he would tell me the work that would get done the next day. Hmmm, the crew would not show up for days, how does that make sense for your #1 priority? The designer provide me with confirmation on certain garden beds that would fit in my yard during the design. During construction, the beds were too big and had to be reduced. The issue is that this cost me an additional $2,000 which she was also not willing to reimburse me for when she made a major mistake. When I demanded that she show up that day with her boss to rectify she said she had appointments and wouldn't come. You mean, my deadlines were not important, but having another appointment is? Come on. When the construction team was showing me the issue with the garden beds, I called the office to get ahold of the designer's boss, I was told that they didn't know who her boss was and I would get a call back, which I didn't. I also told the designer that I wanted a meeting with her, her boss and the project manager. Her boss was a no show again. I was told that she is engaged to the owner's son, it made me understand why I couldn't get in touch with anyone above her in the company. After the project was done and I went to use the hot tub for the first time, we noticed an area where they did not install some of the tiles on the wall. Also, the designer had the specs for the grill and when the grill was put together, the outlet for the rotisserie was put in a place where I was told to get an extension cord which would now go across side burner. Really????? Put an extension cord across a side burner....Great suggestion. Ultimately, they got an electrician to install a new outlet and when he did, he didn't ensure that the plug would reach which caused a hole they had to patch and paint. Well, they patched the hole just fine, but the project manager used spray paint to cover the patch work, and the paint was a different color than the island. Also, the cutout for the door below the grill was not cut out to the specs that was provided and when they finally cut it to the correct size, it is not level, as a result, the doors are at a slight angle to the ground. This company not only does not care about customer service, but there is absolutely no concern for the quality of their work and on top of this will not reimburse me for the additional costs I was forced to pay because of a designer who does not care about her customers. I would highly recommend finding a different company that truly cares about its customers and not just padding their profits to fund trips for the designer to go to Costa Rica rather than worry about getting my job done on time. read more

First, the positives (the reason for the two stars). We were blown away by our designer when they came to our home. Very professional, had great ideas, said all the right things. Also, they were the only company we contacted that drew up a design at no cost. Once you see the design, you can pay or walk away. That is great. After the initial consultation, we received a proposal within a few days that was higher than expected (budget was never discussed prior). After we told our designer that our budget was lower (about 40% less than quoted) we were told that it could still work. I even said that if it's too low, we would understand. That's when we started to notice a downgrade in service. Slow response times to emails (3-5 days on average) even though we were always quick to respond, never answered the phone or called back. The design we received (which took 3 weeks), was not as expected and didn't try to retain the color scheme/aesthetic that we discussed. We were supposed to meet in-person for the design presentation, but wasn't possible due to a recent surge in COVID (understandable). So our designer sent us the images over email and said to reach out when we want to talk...why wouldn't we just keep our appointment and just discuss over the phone? or walk through a screen share? Once we reached out, it again took some time to get a response, and once we got a follow up call scheduled (several days later), our designer asked to reschedule the night before. It was difficult to get it rescheduled, so we gave up and went elsewhere. After explaining our frustrations over email, we got a short, "sorry to hear" email with no phone call or any type of remediation. This is unfortunate because we were excited to work with Creative. If someone at Creative wants to discuss my experience in further detail, I'd be more than happy to. read more

I don't understand how someone could be as rude as she is and still work there. This isn't the first time I've called in but each time I dread it because I know she's on the other end. This company is the worst landscaping business ever. We have been working on a project for 2 years now. We have had about 5 different crews continually taking over the project. Still not done and excuses after excuses. The job site is littered with debris and garbage and they don't care. Stay away from this company the are expensive and disorganized. read more

Contacted Travis on 9/9/21 for a landscaping job, he came to look at the job on 9/10/2021. Agreed to get me a quote immediately. Texted Travis on 9/14/21 letting him know I had not received my quote, assured me I would have it tomorrow. Texted again on 9/17/21, was surprised I had not received the quote, said I would have it tomorrow. Today is 10/1/21, still not quote. Have $20K budgeted for the job, guess I will have to go with someone else. read more

HORRIBLE! Save your time and your money and find someone else! I wish I would have looked at the reviews before blindly trusting our builder's "preferred" landscape business. Besides our designer, Stacy, it has been a horrific experience working with Creative Environments. Their work does NOT reflect the price you pay, and we are still in the process of having them finish our backyard. We chose to use Creative Environments because we built our home with Toll Brothers, and they are their preferred landscaping (meaning they could do the backyard while we were still under construction, as opposed to after we were already moved in). We thought the price/premium was worth not having to worry about living through the dirt and construction, but we were WRONG! Hindsight, I would have much rather paid another company less, had the work done right the first time, and lived here through the construction. The turf was originally installed with seams and edges looking awful, ground wasn't packed well underneath so it was all lumpy and not level. The porcelain wood plank tile that was laid on our back patio was laid incorrectly starting at the house, so the small cut piece is on the edge looking all kinds of wonky. The travertine has an abundance of issues, among them is unlevelness, uneven cuts, they cut the pieces wrong to go around the pool skimmer so they had to add an entire extra row of travertine (completely changing part of the design of our pool border/turf/step pads). We have had a leak in our drip line for weeks/month+ causing standing water in our neighbors backyard. The pool equipment has been installed improperly and is currently inoperable and is leaking. The pool service (provided by Creative) has come out twice now to show us how to use the equipment, after making Creative environments aware of what needs to be fix in order to run the equipment, and has yet to be able to actually show us, as each time it has not been taken care of. The deck jet water features they installed are all uneven, some stick out over the travertine, some level, and some sit below the travertine. Half the time they don't show up when they say they are going to, when they do show up its usually to look at something they have already looked at, said they were going to fix, and not do anything about it. At this point the "reassuring" - "we are going to address and fix all of your concerns" is TIRED and the opposite of reassuring. The list can go on and on. We closed on our home January 11th. The only thing that was supposed to be left to do with Creative Environments is fill the pool. It is now the 22nd and we are still waiting for them to fix the long "punchlist" they created almost 2 weeks ago. The pool is filled but inoperable, and now the perk of having everything finished by the time we moved in is null and void. So like I said, save your time, money and quite frankly sanity. Stay away from this company. The design was creative and looked wonderful on paper but EVERY SINGLE THING following the design process was, and continues to be, a problem. Nearly every plant selected by the designer has died. Either misplaced for appropriate sun or shade or, worse yet, planted superficially in the ground causing the eventual demise of many of the plants. Our landscape maintenance company showed us that he could actually rock plants back and forth, illustrating the improper installation. The pots were filled with construction debris beneath the soil hiding the trash that would eventually kill our beautiful palms. All of this happened post warranty. On the very first day of our remodel the workers negligently dumped debris on our paver driveway which lead to deep scratches and breakage of the pavers. While Creative Environments did agree to fix it we were forced to settle on patches in the driveway. These things could have been avoided and are no where near the worst of our experience. Stonework was installed crooked, uneven, or in the wrong places or in the wrong direction. The deck steps were redone four times! More than one underground pipe was broken due to careless and sloppy workmanship. This caused flooding in our yard and added to delays. The pool finish was also delayed for weeks because the truck ("the" meaning one) broke down. When they finally came to spray the interior pool finish they did not bring enough material to complete the job and the company had to return, causing more delays. The substandard subcontractor used for the pool's interior finished used substandard materials. We continue to have rust stains showing up on the pool finish surface. Yes, CE fixes it but it is an unnecessary frustration that could have been avoided if CE had better subs. It was clear to us that they did not use levels or measuring tapes because so many things had to be redone, and redone, and redone! Compounding it all, drainage issues. Our six to eight week project took more than six months. We were so done with CE by the end of this process that we struggled to even enjoy the finished product of this huge financial investment that we were looking forward to with joyful anticipation. The individuals we dealt with were very nice. We liked our designer but have paid a significant price for the replacement of nearly all of the plants. Our construction manager was good but overworked and unable to give the job appropriate attention. Workers were left to do the demolition and installation unsupervised and many, many mistakes were made. CE does fix mistakes but their were so many mistakes it feels overwhelmingly disappointing and stressful to deal with all of the incompetence. Perhaps things have improved over the last year but today the last of our beautiful landscape installed by CE had to be replaced. The rust stains had to be removed once again. The memory of the journey is a nightmare that never seems to go away. read more

Creative Environment's sales and design is fine, but once that is finished... customer care is awful. Their customer communication is lacking without honoring the promised care. They just "no show" or bring tiny, unhealthy plants as replacement (if they get around to even doing that). Beware! read more

I have contracted CE last year for a relatively small job. Unfortunately it seems that the company is set up for larger clients. While the sales and design services were good, the actual work crew was terrible. I am still finding shortcuts, leaks, and issues. The crew was unprofessional, dirty, left food leftovers all over the yard, did not clean up after the job and any request for fixing issues they created was met with: "we are not getting paid for this". So, I went to a reputable company to avoid having to be a project manager and yet ended up dealing with sub-sub-contractors directly. I have brought all this up directly with the company rep but there wasn't really a follow-up. The plants are mostly alive, hence the 2 stars instead of one. read more

My family had landscaping done by this company. I thought the design was good and I was happy at that point. However, the installation was a complete mess. They send out a bunch of people who do not speak english and they did not know what they were doing at all. The supervisor was no where to be seen!! In the end they corrected all the mistakes but some things were redone 3 times over. It was too much frustration. After a year many of the plants died, I don't think they were properly selected for the type of desert soil in the yard. read more

Used Creative Environments for a new home from Toll. I cannot say enough good things about CE and Haley as a designer. She "nailed" the design aspect and was very flexible as we made changes along the way (the process took about 12 months - due to a long build time from Toll). All landscaping (including pool) was complete within 2 weeks of closing date and follow-up along the way has been extraordinary. There have been some plants that have died along the way (not unusual for 300+ plants) but some of those have simply died, while others have been eaten by rabbits, coyotes, etc. in the neighborhood, and CE has gladly replaced and looked for better varieties that are less appealing to the wildlife in the neighborhood - while still being visually appealing. Overall - the design, responsiveness, and follow-up and great. They may not be the cheapest (a large part is likely because of the kickback to Toll for being allowed in during the construction process) but we are very happy with job and use CE and Haley again for our next home. read more

I contacted CE from the recent Phoenix Home Show. It took two calls and a web request to get an appt. It took several contacts to get their designer Dustin to set an appt. It took two more contacts to get a response to set an appt to see a design. 1 hour before our meeting (that was scheduled 2 weeks prior) he sends me this: "Good morning. I did not want to bug you late last night my gf works the night shift Friday's at the children hospital so she doesn't get home until about 12:30am. She reminded me that unfortunately we have a birthday brunch this morning for her sisters boyfriend that I was committed to. Can I email you the plan on Monday and hop on the phone with you guys and discuss via phone conference?" From a company perspective, why waste money on Home Show leads if your staff is inept in closing them? I won't be chasing them around anymore. I highly recommend you stay away from this company. They have a great website and literature but no substance. read more
