I paid for a raised garden with great fertal garden soil for a 4 Ft by 24 Ft. and charged over 750 dollars for the soil that was suppose to be put into this garden!!! Did I get what I paid for - NO I did not get the soil Promises by the designer, They only put in common dirt (Not Garden Soil as Paid for --- $790 for desert soil (Common Plain Dirt) I was deceived 100% and Do Not Recommend then for any work at all, they are very deceiving and We Never would recommend ever ___ We will never de using them at all for anything. DO NOT let this company do your irrigation. They use the absolute cheapest materials they can find. I have had the system for 4 years and have had 3 leaks and every company that comes out to fix has commented on how cheap of materials they use. We had used Poco Verde several years ago and were so impressed with Ryan getting the pavers we needed so we decided to use Poco Verde again this time for a much bigger landscaping project. We worked with Gretchen and she was fantastic. Gretchen has experience in landscaping especially layouts.She has knowledge in the type of plants for our project. Gretchen came out and met with us and drew a great diagram to help us visually see the project. Grethen and her landscaping team completed our project to include trees, turf, plants, additional drips, hard wired lighting. It was completed just in time by our needed deadline. Poco Verde installed the landscape at our community, Arabella. There are constant leaks, water flowing down the sidewalk and streets, instead of being accountable due to the over abundance of complaints, PocoVerde directs clients to the builder- who didn't do the install. Ask any resident of Arabella. The landscape installers didn't grade the yards properly for the landscaping, most of the landscape died and needed to be replaced. Unreliable quality of plants, parts, and repair-- even worse service when the irrigation clogs up. They started saying watch a video on their site to trouble shoot; there was no video on their website. After talking with Jen, I strongly suggest anyone but Poco Verde- builders often use the cheapest labor/quality they can find and Poco Verde pools and landscape has been no exception. read more

Working with poco verde was so easy to do and came to my new build within a few days of design, installed brick patios and plants along with crushed stone within 2 days. Job was completed faster then promised and wrapped up neatly. I couldn't believe the transformation in such quick turn around. I will definitely include them in any future projects. We had an excellent experience with Poco Verde. We worked with Peggy to start our project and she was involved throughout. She met with us and created a design for our front courtyard and two side yard areas. Our job was not really big and they usually do not handle small projects so we were glad they would work with us. Peggy provided us a quote and timeline and they stuck pretty close to the schedule. There were some long lead times for some plants but no surprises there. Jose and Claudio did most of the work and were very easy to work with. There were minor challenges with communicating but Peggy was available if needed. If you speak Spanish it will make things easier. The areas we had done were pretty sparse and needed some help. Poco Verde did our front yard landscaping, irrigation and artificial turf. Within less than five years we have had multiple leaks under our turf and are having to replace all pipes with higher quality PVC. We are told by other landscapers they used cheap materials. One of the worst experiences I've had with a landscape company. Insane. My builder in Chandler had them as the only option to provide upgraded landscaping. The guys who installed our front walkway made it WAY off center from the patio and even did the steps half the size that the plans called for. They redid it and then messed it up AGAIN. Then they redid it again and messed it up AGAIN! If they would have just asked us or even looked closely at the plans it would have been one and done. Pushed out close date out because of it. Now I've had the house for less then two weeks and there's a massive leak in the landscaping watering line somewhere and it caused one of the steps to cave in and water to go everywhere. NEVER use them. I also asked for a pool quote from them and wait for months and never got it after emailing the sales guy for the quote a dozen times. read more

MY review will be very much inline with the most recent poor reviews. Given the time we are in, I knew from the start there would be delays. All I asked of them was to communicate as we have an autistic adult child who stays at the house. He is learning responsibility with the pets and needed to be warned if people were in the back yard so he doesn't panic. We never would get information about schedules or timing or anything. As with many of the other reviews, we would go weeks (months) without hearing from them only to have people show up at odd hours to do a little work, then leave. They had leftover pavers we asked if we could keep, they said no because they can use them for other jobs or return them. The next day, they loaded up the pavers and dumped them over by the new construction dumpster within eyesight of our house!!!! Unbelievable. We just went and loaded them back up and brought them back, lol. They had to re-do the firepit and surrounding several times because of the poor workmanship. After months and months of round and round, we finally got to a point I just wanted them out of my life. Things still aren't perfect, but I'll have someone else fix the issues. Horrible work. Unskilled laborers. They installed a brick border around my artificial turf in my front yard. They didn't trim the bricks to make it have a nice clean appearance. They just laid solid regular size bricks around the edge of the turf and used concrete to fill in the gaps. The ends were just concrete caps. I called their customer support and made a complaint. They sent an employee out who looked at it and said it was fine and wouldn't fix anything. I ended up hiring another company to fix the mess. I will never use Poco Verde again. I used them because I bought a Fulton home and they were the "recommended" landscape company. Don't use them. read more

Poco Verde built our pool and landscaped our backyard. Overall we're very happy with the finished product. The pool is beautiful. Bill Ringling as a project manager was great to work with. Their prices were in line with other contractors. The follow-up after the pool was built, including showing us how to use the equipment, was awesome and they've been wonderful about answering questions that have come up due to operator error! One thing to note is that you do have to stay on top of them in order to get work done. We'd go for days with no work being done and others times when the workers did show up the work was done at a snail's pace. It seems there's some discord between the landscape/worker side and the office staff. The office staff member doing the scheduling also left a lot to be desired. Superb in every way. I came to them with some rough ideas of what I wanted my backyard to look like and what they designed was a masterpiece. They also executed the real thing perfectly to plan it looked exactly like the mockups. I have a small lot and the pool, spa, water feature, and mix of travertine and turf make my 6000 square-foot lot seem much larger. The service they provide is also impeccable. Calls and texts returned shortly and with a smile. Learning how to work my pool equipment and care for my pool and landscaping I had many questions and they were always immediately there to answer them and help me with a cheerful attitude. I would not give them any stars at all but I guess one is the minimum on Yelp. We had a new build with Fulton homes and Poco Verde was their recommended landscaper. It has only been 2 years since closing with Fulton and our sprinklers have had 5 leaks since completion of the landscaping. We have paid an extra $500 so far in repairs to the system which has had three leaks in the past few months so far this year. We were billed for completion of the landscaping before the system was hooked up and our plants had been in the ground for 3 months dying without water while waiting for them to finish the work. We had to have our sidewalk redone three times and is still not corrected. If you want to save money do not use these people as you will be paying much more for repairs than you would save. We had a new home built and this company was to do the landscaping. We have had 2 plants die and this company never responded to having them replaced. They did not treat the ground prior to dropping the rock. We are the only house out of 300 that has to deal with massive amounts of weeds in the yard ALL the time. When I asked the GC, they laughed and said nothing could be done. I will never ask this company to do landscaping and/or pool work in our backyard. The front yard is indicative of the lack of care and concern the company had to making the front yard as nice as possible especially compared to all other houses in this new neighborhood. Ok so Poco Verde reached out to me after the above review and I'm actually surprised they went the extra mile to make up for the issues I had. I will say Chris who is their field manager for Maricopa, AZ is their saving grace and why they are getting 4 stars. Most of my issues were with the pool side of Poco Verde and Chris was handed this project to complete for landscaping. Chris planted 4 additional plants and hooked up irrigation to a tree we had planted along with getting $170 knocked off the final bill. The $170 was from them charging me to move granite that they were already going to be placing back as part of the pool cleanup. Furthermore, with the 4 pygmy palms and where they are placed, the backyard looks a lot better as we can now see landscaping out of our back slider instead of just the master bedroom window. I will say going the extra mile to make sure things were right was appreciated. read more

Poco Verde did an amazing job with my entire project; front yard, back yard, and pool. The project was actually completed in February 2022. There were some challenges with the construction process, probably just like anyone else encountered during the height of Covid. My overall impression of Poco Verde is very positive. Throughout the construction phase, they kept me updated on schedule and process. The end result was incredible. Poco Verde did our front and back yard landscaping in our new home as they were the recommended company from Fulton. With being from out of state we should have looked around. We have had nothing but trouble with the irrigation lines- 6 breaks. In all the years of living in freezing temps in CO we never had breaks in our lines as the lines were buried in the ground. I bought a new home and was referred to Poco Verde Pools and Landscape by my salesperson. What a mistake going with them. I started the design process in August, closed escrow Oct. 14th (through no fault of my own but the builder during Covid). It's now 5 months later and they still haven't started my pool. Every time I call, I get another salesperson calling me back to "talk me down:", but nothing, not even excavation has been done is 5 months. They finally sent a guy out to the house 2 weeks ago, (first time) who said it has to be reengineered. No one told me he was coming, he just went in the back yard without invitation. They should have known months ago there was a berm in the back yard. I could go on and on, but basically, I'm so very disappointed, would never recommend this company. read more

Your supervisor lied about when it would be completed to the superintendent he was on speaker and said they would be finishing the day before thanksgiving this was At 4 pm on the 27th . Your trucks weren't loaded properly and not sure why drawings are done when your guys don't show up with the right equipment to complete a job . After months and months of talk after we moved into our new home we decided to have Poco Verde help us with our backyard oasis. We set up a meeting with Rhonda and sat down with her to talk about our vision. From the minute we sat down, we knew this is who we were going to have help us design our backyard. We were there for about an hour and we felt like we had known Rhonda all our lives. Needless to say she is AMAZING!!! we had several meetings, emails, phone calls about plants, designs, what was going to work, etc. and she gave us honest opinions on what was going to make it all come together. Her plans for our yard were spot on. Once we started, Diego and Tony came to our home and started the hard scape...WOW!!! the work they did was over the top. We have a circle spot that we have for a conversation area and let me tell you it is perfect. Everything they did back there looked so good, the plants, the mound, the rock and the lighting....I mean I can't explain how beautiful it is. Then Quincey (& another guy, don't know his name) came to do our turf! another out of the park job. To say we are happy is an understatement we are over the moon happy with the work that was provide by the whole team. Ricardo, thank you for keeping us in the loop on things going on and helping when we needed to get some things changed last minute. I have not one bad thing to say! They are the best!! We purchased our newly build home in Sept. 2017 which included a landscaping allowance with Poco Verde Landscape for the front yard. We did read a few negative reviews, but I have to say we are completely satisfied with the design and installation of our front yard. We worked with Jinger Diaz as the design consultant. She was great to work with, and always easy to contact. It was also easy to make additional changes after the initial contract signing, and as the installation was happening. I was a little picky on a few items like what kind of sprinkler controller, and the addition of an extra hose bib. No problems in getting what I wanted. Our installation was done at the end of Sept. during record heat. Near the end of Oct. we noticed a few plants did not survive, or looked pretty bad. Jinger came out, and helped us decide on changing or replacing the plants that had problems, and this was covered under their warranty and done within a couple of weeks. I wanted to write this review because of a call I made to Jinger today (3/9/18). I had a few questions on pruning our plants and watering. I did not get voicemail, and she answered all of my questions. I think that it is definitely worth your time to get a quote from Poco Verde. Ask to work with Jinger, or any other person who was named in one of the other positive reviews. We love our yard. read more

These guys are the worst. Do NOT use them. I have a 14x48 size backyard and all they had to do was copy the model home in my subdivision. They were clueless that I needed a gas line or an electrical line. Materials sat outside my driveway for weeks. Everything they installed was done wrong and had to redo it. The border around my yard was different depths on both sides of the yard and they tried to tell me the house was crooked on the lot. They lied constantly about everything. It was impossible to get receipts from them after I pay them for a change order. I would wait weeks for someone to show up. Plants are dead right after install and they are blaming my dogs. This company has zero interest in customer satisfaction. Any issues I had they would tell me it was my fault. Stay clear from them. read more

Bryan came out for a bid and we never heard back after 7 days. On day 8 we asked about our bid and mentioned we noticed bad reviews and he told us he wasn't aware of them nor why no response. Day 9 nothing. At this juncture we will Never do business with this company again! This company worked with panic pools back in 2005 and dinner Flagstone but it appears in today's business world they are not interested in doing business or perhaps cherry picking the bigger jobs. Working with Poco verde was anything but professional. It is just a bunch of lies. They said that they take two weeks to start the project from the moment we pay half down. It took them 4 weeks to start. That is because of the constant asking and chasing from our side. They said that the work will be done in one week. It has been now 4 weeks and no work finished yet. You have to measure constantly what you are paying for because they will do whatever the work feels like that day. Correspondence is anything but professional. I have found that if I call 3 or 4 people and leave voicemails asking for a call back along with these same people being contacted by email, I will finally get one person to call me back. Otherwise, it is good luck with these people. They bring just two people that show up around 11 am and work till 5. So yes, work is getting done so slowly. It has been over two months since we signed the contract with these people and no end in sight. The only reason to sign was because I was falling for their lies in their work timeline. Stay away. At least we paid attention to stay away from them doing irrigation and plants with them. Haven't heard anyone who has been happy with their work. read more

Still, they should've contacted me again before the construction was done. 2nd, we gave them a other Chance and had an appointment for pool design. Did everything and for 3weeks, we never get a call back from the designer. We would call him(Gary) all the tkme and ask for the design and promised to send the design at the end of the day but still no email from Gary. not once,bot twice, nor 3x. (Unprofessional) 3rd, our box tree died 3weeks/a month ago. Last tuesday oct20 , our pool company started the excavation and tuned off the sprinkler so it wont turn on since they'll be passing the lawn. ONE DAY! Come Wednesday moning,a poco verde guy came in ad inspexted it. Got an email that they wont replace the tree since the pool company turned off the sprinkler! Like seriously? It will die in day without the sprinkler on? Take note, we water manually watering our lawn and the tree!!! they put the blame on other company when they can't do their job right! This has been the worst experience working with "professionals" ever. They were on time maybe once the whole job and there have been problems from start to finish and then some. When they bothered to show up, they left garbage everywhere and never cleaned up after themselves and didn't follow the plan. They tried to get away with charging for plants and things that were in the plan that they didn't install and when called out on it they offered to "give a credit on the next project" as opposed to credit money on the current project. When pressed on it, they then installed what they were supposed to per the plan showing if you don't watch every single thing they do you won't get what you pay for. Then 27 travertine needed to be reset (some multiple times) after they starting to come apart when walking on them. They just came and marked them with tape and said not to use the patio and left it like that for a month. The turf also has areas that needs to be redone but they also haven't bothered to come and fix that after asking for weeks. They are completely unresponsive and all they cared about was cashing their check. For over $20k you will get a giant headache. Do yourself a huge favor and go with someone else. read more

We had them do the 'drive extension' pavers on the sie of the house when our house was built - we moved in in May 2019. This what happened after the first big rain in Sept. Since they had to trench to install a drain pipe under the pavers,(that is required) They did not use proper backfill and did not compact that area so about 25 square feet sank in like a sink hole and the builder (Fulton Homes customer service) says it was my fault so they won't pursue action against Poco Verde. read more

This was the worst landscape project I have ever had by a vendor. This was for a new house build. First they only installed part of the landscape and I had to contact them to request completion. Next they only installed part of the drip system and they had to come back to complete. Then it was determined that not all the drip system was actually configured and working/ watering. Next was the wrong tree installed should had been a miniature lime instead was a regular lemon and instead of a rosemary plant some weird little bush was installed. Now 5 plants are dead within 6 months but they will not replace because they only give a 90 day warranty on plants. I was referred to Poco Verde by a neighbor. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I should of read these reviews first. My first point of contact was great. I told someone would be reaching out to me, we could come in go over the design, expenses, requirements, and any questions. We were also told we would receive a military discount. None of this happened. I was attempting to work with Patrick, it was the worst experience trying to accomplish anything. The miscommunication, handling everything through email and trying to interpret and understand what is being asked or said is not professional. I asked on 2 occasions about coming in and going over everything, said he can do it through email. That was a disaster. I had a lot of questions and concerns over the construction of a pool in Arizona. When your spending any amount of money especially the amount for a pool, email communication should NOT be acceptable. I have been to other pool companies went in one day was treated exceptional, designed a backyard, picked out pool colors, went over all warranties, regulations, time frame, detailed expenses. All within a matter of hours. It had been over a week with Patrick with nothing but frustration and stress. Your customers should be treated as priority and be heard. Not to be sent an email that says "You can't put turf in your while backyard because its too expensive". Don't know where he gets off on telling me what I can afford .
