Sun Devil Pool Supply sold me a spa set of poison to my above ground hot hub. I turned to them for guidance on how to manage and maintain my 4 person above ground swimming pool and spa. Recognize the hand writing in permanent ink on the chemical containers? It's your employees! I took photos, I showed you the hot tub in size and scope. This is what you recommended I use and at what dosage: The set includes: Sanitizer 45 (1 cap a week while running the jets), 1 tsp of Leisure time renew after each use, E-Z Clor, (1-2 tabs a week in a floating dolphin container), spa up and spa down after each test of the water. I followed your advise like clockwork and 4 months later my tub is a lovely shade of chemical peel white, it has a major leak, my motor is damaged, the lining is corroded and dissolved by bromine and chlorine and I am out one hot tub that is chemically damaged with a cost of repair that makes it irreparable. I appreciate the honesty of the spa mechanic today. I am more upset with Sun Devil Pool and Spa than you know. Your chemicals and advice damaged my hot tub beyond repair. I now know what bromine and chlorine can do to a hot tub, why didn't you?!? So mad! Sorry doesn't repair or replace this unit. read more

They are great for pool supplies and fixing pumps/filters. However, they are absolutely horrible for a pool cleaning service. They charge 120$ a month for unfinished work. They advertise pool brushing, skimming, chemical checks, vacuuming, and backwashing as part of their service. But when the pool guy comes to clean our pool, he complained when I asked him if he can vacuum. He said he would never be able to finish his work for the day if he vacuums, even though that's what they advertised to me. He also only spends about 10 minutes cleaning our pool and leaves tons of dirt and debris in there and doesn't even brush. They basically charge 120 a month for 40 minutes total in monthly service getting about half the leaves out and that's it. The cleaner also pushed for me to get a 750$ auto vacuum in order to "make his job easier", as if the 10 minutes he spent on our pool was too tough for him. When I called sun devil to complain, I told them "the service isn't really the problem, it's the price. It's too high for the quality of service" to which he responded "Let's terminate your service now and just end on good terms" without even trying to get to an understanding with me. Happily took his offer and will never go back. read more

This is what we get after a year of pool service with Sun Devil. We hired them for our weekly pool cleaning service but the job was never finished. The guy who came every week always had an excuse as to why the pool couldn't be cleaned properly. It was always some part was broken which we have repaired or replaced yet we still never got a clean pool it just got worse. They did nothing for us except cost more money. Don't waste your time and money go somewhere else. Now we have to have someone else fix our now green pool because they didn't even keep up on the chemicals. And when we finally fired them all they offered was 20% off the chemicals to clear up the pool. It should have never even gotten this far considering we hired them so we wouldn't have a green pool issue. They were supposed to keep our pool clean. read more

This is not where you want to go for pool repairs. They left technical questions to me and then charged far more than their competitors to complete the job properly. When I complained the technician called me with a rude tone and wanted to discuss what he had told me before performing the wrong repair so as to say it was my fault. They left a mess of old parts and did not secure my gate as they said they would so my pets wouldn't get out of the yard. Had they just been polite and respectful I wouldn't have written tis review. So I would recommend using anyone else for your pool repairs. Buyer beware! read more

They charged me $75 for them to come out for 5 minutes to tell me the impeller on my pump was clogged and pulled a few pine needles out. They were here for less than 10 minutes. Poolwerx down the street comes out to give you a 30 minute orientation on how all your pool equipment works for FREE. Should have gone to them instead. read more

I have spent the last week turning a green pool blue and would not have pulled it off without the patience and help from Craig and his staff. They taught me how to backwash, how to check and change the suction and every other day I would bring them water samples and they would give me detailed instructions on what to do next. One week later and success! After two other pool guys quit and caused this problem and the last one insisted it needed a new filter and the third tried to drain it in 115 degree weather - which ps you can't do when it's over 90 degrees! read more

Typical pool supply store, but the prices seemed a little more reasonable than other pool places. Went in and bought a bunch of pool floats and toys for a pool party and they had a decent selection. When I left, I had a headache from all the chlorine though! I don't know how people work in these places day in and day out!!! read more

Unreliable and don't own up to there faults. I have been working out of state for the past 6 months needed a simple job a few pipes replaced as they were leaking. Something I could have done myself, but I was not in town to do so. The first guy was a no show, blamed it on the holiday, understandable. Second guy was a no show, I had to call the company back to find this out. Third guy blamed it on a closed suction valve, which was not the case. Finally after I had my neighbor who was watching the house for me interject, the manager came out and replaced a few pipes himself. By the time this all was taken care of it had been an entire month and my pool and turned swamp green. My neighbor told me that system was still running sluggish so I went home to go check on it. When I check the system the old scrap pipes were left lying around the job site, the pump was sucking in air which was causing it to not move water which cause the water to turn green again. Now my filter after two algae blooms need to be cleaned. When confronted with this I was compensated a couple bags of shock. Oooooo $10. on a $200+ ticket. Save your time and your hair. read more

I came in to return a floaty for an infant I had time originally bought two it was not explained to me the time of purchase that the 10 day return policy. I explained i have no need for 2 but I was toldI could return the one I didn't need. The man behind the counter then said well we have a10 day return. I responded, I have no need for 2. I did have incorrect receipt for noodles I purchased same day, I explained what happened then the man began to state that i could have purchased somewhere else. 1st of all i don not being accused of some malicious intent , 2nd not being offered some constructive resolution of the purchase, 3rd being treated less then simply because of miscommunication. I left the floaty on the counter & as I walked out the man behind counter attempted to say something else which I responded with the finger.
