They have a lot of merchandise, yes its a little pricey for what they get either at wholesale or from over the border, but it is a business and you are paying for the convenience of having it one location to shop for it. I love the Mexican style decor in this place. Lots to choose from. The customer service was Eghh when we first walked inside, but they nicely got friendlier at the end when we were paying. My only suggestion, the young guys wrapping ceramics with paper then placing in bag. You have to make sure fragile sides of a piece (i.e cats leg/paw stretched out) stays secure and should be upright in a bag and not long ways across, if you pack that way, then when the bag is picked up and handed to the customer the sides will be bent upward and snap a piece. Luckily, it was easily glued. So moral of the story customers, watch how the youngins pack your stuff and how they pick up the bags to hand to you. Don't do what I did and just assume it was logically packed.

So many styles to choose from. Suzy suggested different options, sizes, styles. She pointed out which pieces would work together and which colors matched. She was trying so hard to make me happy and she did! We picked the perfect fountain :) She communicated clearly when delivery and installation would take place and the guys arrived on time :) Unfortunately, my landscaper did not prepare the outlet correctly and during installation 2 pumps blew. The guys took the time to go to Home Depot to pick up a brand new pump for me - that is going above and beyond in my opinion - and had to take the fountain apart to install the new pump. I felt so bad. They didn't complain. They didn't just leave me without a working fountain. They did their job. I am so appreciative of their commitment to making sure I was happy. One then walks around to the front where a stone paved sidewalk with a garden variety of beautiful plants, some this summer slightly blocking the walkway, guides you to the main entrance. Inside there are a variety of metal/wood furniture pieces that have been hand forged or updated in numerous ways. An antique writing desk is in a backroom that has been updated with steel pieces giving it a vintage yet contemporary appeal. There was a nostalgic letter inside this desk from no less than the owner sharing its long family history. I have purchased giftware and a metal wood side table for my living room from Urban. There are bars, dining tables, signing and a lot of original art. There is also lighting, some of the Indian variety, and a range of Mexican and Southwest artifacts. It is worth the trip and also making the rounds a few times. I enjoy that someone is not peering down your back and one is left to wander. A Phoenix gem. I will be back!

It was our last stop of store touring and had we known how cool this place is we wouldn't have gone anywhere else. I was in awe of all the artistry in every piece of furniture in here from the moment we walked in. (The landscaping outside was equally impressive.. If only we had a yard!). Once we walked in we were greeted by Nick. We told him what we were looking for and he directed us to pieces he recently finished among others in his store. If there wasn't anything we liked he was happy to put something together. But that was not the case...we liked Just about everything in his store. We had him make us a zinc top table with an angle iron base along with a bench made of reclaimed wood and steel. He custom made these items based on the measurements we gave him and the look we were going for. We left the design in his hands and they came out as we had hoped! We've since been back as his store always has new things. KUDOS for the fact that the one-of-a-kind pieces he made were locally sourced and manufactured here in PHX! Awesome!

Individual cabinets there run about $1500. Though the sticker shock really got us, I still wonder if that was the right price at all. I think new items at Home Depot cost less than that.
