There's a good mix of things to do too--areas for younger kids and enough going on for slightly older ones so no one feels left out. It's one of those places where kids can just run around and be kids while parents can actually sit for a second and breathe. Overall, it just felt easy, fun, and stress-free. If you want the obstacle course it's an additional $10 per person for 55 mins (super short). If you want to kayak, use the aqua bike or use the paddleboard it's an additional $10 per equipment/item. There is a kiddie area for small and young children. They DO NOT allow outside food or drinks except water! There is a small shop that sells misc. items, snacks & drinks (overpriced). They also had a foodtruck inside that was expensive and the meals didn't come with drinks. They do have plenty of staff and lifeguards there. The entrance fee should of been $15-20. The obstacle course atleast 90-120 mins instead of the 55 mins. Wish the foodtruck came with drinks and was a bigger portion.

My younger son, who is in 2nd grade, went for the first time last year and is already so excited to go back. What really stood out to me was how quickly they both adapted. My younger son joined not knowing anyone and felt welcomed almost immediately. Both of my boys felt included from day one. The staff is incredibly caring, supportive, and attentive. You can truly feel that they work hard to create a safe, joyful environment for the kids, and as a parent that means everything. The activities are fantastic: well planned, age appropriate, engaging, and fun. The natural setting is also beautiful and feels especially important these days. My boys came home with confidence, stories, friendships, and summer memories they will cherish forever. And the camp spirit is real. We still sing the silly songs at home, especially the announcements song whenever we have a family announcement, and the birthday song too. I cannot recommend Cali Camp enough. It has been such a special part of our family's life.

But it now caters to a younger crowd and has substantial co-working space. I've certain found more members using the facilities but also discovered quite a bit of new programmings like the Pilates classes, mahjong club, live jazz performances and movie nights. I was not really sure about the change at the beginning but I am now fully embracing the new LAAC. Many of the staff and members have been here for a long time and it is nice to be greeted by familiar faces when coming to the club. The restaurants are pretty decent. Love to top my salad with a nice piece of salmon after workout at the Famous Players or have a tasty glass of scotch while enjoying the live jazz performance at the Invention. The sports bar Duke's has great happy hours and fun monthly evening karaoke or chess club meetings. The only thing I complain about is the need for shock absorbance and insulation of the noise or moving the weight station. The northwest corner of the Famous Players near Olive Street shakes every time the weightlifters drop their weights, which is very annoying and distracting for the diners. Feel like the ceiling or floor is going to drop out. No joke. For now, I would sit as far away from the northwest corner as I possibly can. But hope the club would look into it. I have been trying to sign up for the monthly wine tasting but they are always full. Maybe consider having the event more frequently or scale up? Regardless, I am still exploring all the new offerings at the club and really pleased with the Pilates classes and the live music performances. Although I am apprehensive when I first see the co-working space and the influx of new members, I now appreciate the additional events and classes that come with the new members and hope the club continues to do well and do better as I am here to stay.

The water for showering also doesn't get too hot. In terms of the athletic space, the machines were very easy to access. There was never a wait even on weekend afternoons. The lap pool was my favorite part - clean and calm. There was some miscommunication between the lobby and the store, as one said there is no reservation system but there in fact was. But even when told all the lanes were fully reserved, more than half weren't in use. Parking is a bit of a hassle; for non-members it's definitely not worth it. At the time of visit, the parking machine wasn't working. There are also sperate elevators for parking vs the athletic club / hotel area which was a little confusing. The stair numbers also didn't coordinate the best with actual level.

Can't say enough wonderful things about Creative Makers! Nona and her daughter Mila approach each and every event with professionalism, creativity, and thoughtfulness! We called them for a birthday party and the kids had the best time! They set up the tables and items and had different stations that was intended for each of the activities. They had canvas painting, play dough section, and time designated for slime as well. Not only was this enjoyable to the kids, but the parents were involved as well! One of the things I found for most companies is that the pictures on their websites don't necessarily match the characters that show up (as I could tell from their Yelp reviews). And I know it's got to be difficult to keep the same actors on roster, but at least come close. Pic Me Entertainment was spot on. No complaints there. As for our "Elena" (aka Jocelyn)...I could not say enough. From the first time we spoke on the phone to the actual meeting at the bday event, she was very charismatic and super kid-friendly. She is in character the entire time (even in down time) and has the personality of Elena to match. Disney should hire her! She kept the kids entertained and the party flowing. But most important, my daughter was the happiest with her favorite princess in front of her. The on-line sign-up process is so painless. The timing of it all is punctual. And the prices are pretty reasonable. Overall, I will be recommending Pic Me for a very long time and using them in the future.
