After weeks of careful search of the entire LA area "character" companies, I took a chance with Pic Me Entertainment on a recommendation from a friend. It was by far the most perfect way to celebrate my daughters 5th bday. I could not have asked for a better "Elena" to host the small gathering of her DayCare friends. One of the things I found for most companies is that the pictures on their websites don't necessarily match the characters that show up (as I could tell from their Yelp reviews). And I know it's got to be difficult to keep the same actors on roster, but at least come close. Pic Me Entertainment was spot on. No complaints there. As for our "Elena" (aka Jocelyn)...I could not say enough. From the first time we spoke on the phone to the actual meeting at the bday event, she was very charismatic and super kid-friendly. She is in character the entire time (even in down time) and has the personality of Elena to match. Disney should hire her! She kept the kids entertained and the party flowing. But most important, my daughter was the happiest with her favorite princess in front of her. The on-line sign-up process is so painless. The timing of it all is punctual. Pic Me Entertainment booked a Moana impersonator for my daughter's fourth birthday. The booking process was simple and easy and they answered all my questions. The Moana that came to our party was communicative (let me know her estimated arrival time, gave updates when she ran into traffic) and came into the party dressed and in character. She was WONDERFUL with the group of impressed and overeager preschoolers. She retold the story of Moana (and was patient with "help" from the kids) and sang some of the songs. Then she did face paint for all the kids while keeping up a running dialogue with my starstruck daughter. We finished the event with a flower crown, Happy Birthday song, and photos. This experience was absolutely worth every penny! The look on my niece's face when Beauty arrived was priceless. I booked a 1-character/2hr package for my niece about 3 months in advance. She is in love with Beauty and the Beast. The day of the party, Beauty called me and let me know her assistant would meet with me prior to handle payment and set up her station/music. Beauty made her grand entrance in her lovely gown to the song "Tale As Old As Time". The activities included face painting, games, princess trivia, cake cutting ceremony, honorary princess/crowning presentation and pictures. Face painting takes a majority of the time; I suggest booking the 2 hours to ensure there is time for other activities. Beauty was absolutely fantastic with the children; she did not once demonstrate she was frustrated or tired. Beauty was extremely professional, patient and kind with the children. She made the birthday girl feel special but also made the dreams of all the little girls there come true. I appreciated how flexible Beauty was and the length/timing of the activities was well executed. One of the most heartwarming moments was when Beauty danced with my niece. Lastly, Beauty made sure she was available for pictures with all guests and treated everyone like royalty. I appreciated the magical touch of maintaining character and creating a special experience for all. Days later wherever she goes, my niece shares about her experience of Beauty at her party! I just had my daughters little Mermaid party yesterday and I hired Ariel and Prince Eric! This company was the best I have ever hired and I have 3 kids, 3 party's a year all with character appearances. They where professional from the start, always quick to answer all my questions. The characters both stayed in character the whole time. They crowned my princess, played a game,sang a song with her, Ariel painted faces while prince Eric mingled with the guests and played with the kids in the pool. Then we sang happy birthday, all party guests had an opportunity to take pics with them. Truly an awesome experience for my daughter, the look on her face when they first walked in was priceless. I used the for my daughters 5th bday and I was Disappointed 1st in the way that they sent me a picture of the princess Tiana and I confirmed if that was the character of the picture it was going to show up and they said Yes and I booked it; at day of the event a totally new Tiana showed up from the picture without letting me know, plus princess Tiana did not had a good charisma with the kids and did not showed interested/excitement with the kids; I give 3stars and not 1 because if it wasn't that her royal assistant Jocelyn went I would be so mad; Jocelyn was fabulous with the kids and did most of the talkig and interaction with the kids!
