So for my people in the Atlantic Beach Area - I usually go to Sunny's Nails (which I know next to Walmart what should I expect?) that is next to my place is usually not busy and pricing is reasonable. I don't really like their service but it's convenient and I've racked up points for $5 or $10 off in coupons. So with that I've been trying to look for another place - I also was looking for someone who could do/use builder gel. I called around and this place was the only one to answer. They also accepted me after 5:45PM on a Wednesday. Emily helped me, she talked me through using tips vs. no using tips with the builder gel; as my nails are short thin and fragile right now and need them to grow. She convinced me to stay with my natural nails (which I appreciated); and she still did the French tip. I think they look amazing for short nails. We'll see how long they last, but the detail Emily had while doing my nails I appreciate. She asked questions and was so nice. I've been to a few places in Jacksonville, I have my own gel kit (so I'm not completely dumb to the nail process and styles) and I couldn't recommend her more. Made an appt for a gel manicure and was helped immediately arriving on time. The lady (Wendy) spend a total of 15mins exact from the time I sat down and the time I walked out the door. After the manicure I noticed the tips of the nails weren't capped and the polish looked like I had my nails polished for a week already. I know you can't get close to the cuticle but this is just noticeable after immediately getting them done. If you're looking to get in and out and have less than average looking nails then give it a go but I want someone who's going to take their time and make it worth coming in to get a service and spending my money. Best nail salon at the beach! I've been on the search for a new nail salon in the beaches area, as the salon I was at raised their prices obscenely high. After many disappointing trips to other salons, I gave Creative Nails a chance. SO HAPPY I DID! I really went in with no expectations but am quite pleased. I'm simple with my nails - SNS manicure, usually no design. My old salon charged add-on fees for nail shaping and cuticle care, thrilled to learn that Creative Nails does not! It was all included in the price of the manicure. I did not get tips, so I cannot speak on that. The only "con" there was is that I had an appointment and still waited about 20 minutes. It was a busy Saturday afternoon at the salon, but I was in no rush. My nail tech was amazing. She was communicative throughout the entire process to ensure my nails were what I wanted. She took her time and did a quality job. Salon was stylish and clean. For my SNS manicure (included nail shaping & cuticle care) it came to $50 plus tip. 10/10 recommended. read more

I love the vibe of this place. I've been to other places that force to upsell you services. Here I don't feel forced to get any kind of add-on's. The ladies are super sweet and the atmosphere is laid back. I don't feel like they are herding customers to keep people moving. They take their time and are very gentle. I never got my cuticles nicked by them. Other places have made be bleed. This is where Creative Nails and Spa is different. They take their time to not hurt you. The hand and foot massages are heavenly. It's very clean inside and a simple "would you like water?" was a very kind gesture. Prices are comparable to other places but the customer service here is amazing! I've been to other places but this will be my forever place from now on. This time around, I got a simple pink with chrome on top. Very natural for everyday but the chrome on top gives you that extra feeling of fancy when it glimmers in the light. I have been getting gel manicures here on a regular basis. Never a bad experience. Today, my daughter and I mistakenly arrived one hour early for our appointment. After the general chatter died down, one of the employees rushed up to us, told us that we were too early, and "we busy, too busy". I acknowledged that we made a mistake, and apologized and stated we would return in an hour. At this point, the person who approached us grabbed me by the upper arm and began steering me out of the door. I was astonished,, as we had acquiesced, acknowledged our mistake and were leaving, no fuss, no raised voices. She just kept saying too busy, too busy. Vivian has always done a fantastic job on my nails, and Wu and Wendy have always done a great job for my daughter. However, if they are too busy to be nice, then we will find another salon. Not impressed. I came here one Sunday when my regular salon was closed. The reviews were glaring and the environment looked great from the photos. Well, it's a super basic and not impressively clean. My pedicurist was a bit grumpy. The music was fast and loud. There was a piece of trash next to my chair on the floor that went unnoticed by my pedicurist and I ended up picking it up. So this was my first time going in the this salon. Got a mani pedi, acrylic nails on my hands as French tips, my toes done French tips as well with only my big toe as acrylic. My big toes acrylic looks rough and my nails are pretty but not worth $150, the woman who rang me up said my total and I had to get to class so I said repeat that and she came up and said well you had acrylics on your toes too, not a full set no only my big toe, their flyer said my toes would be $28 something I figure it would come out to $38 is for the acrylic toe, no she tacked on more than that, this was a horrible experience and for you to charge that much for nails is terrible. Literally horrible experience. I was there for 5 minutes just to get my nails cut down and a clear polish on. My nails had fuzz in the polish, air bubbles, and my nails weren't even shaped even AND THEY ARE CUT SHORT AS CAN BE. Was charged $20 for trash. Would not recommend wasting money here. read more

Took my twin 10 year old daughters in to get their nails soaked off (they had tips and a dip mani currently). One of my daughters had 7 nails left and my other daughter had 8 nails left. To get their nails off both techs started trying to "pop off" the nails with the edge of a tip. I said "wait can we soak them off? They're only 10 years old, their nails are so delicate, won't this rip their nails off?" And the tech said "no we can't soak them off." I asked again if we could please soak them off bc this was scaring me as my daughters were looking at me with tears in their eyes. Then my daughter's pinky nail indeed got tore off, started dripping blood. So she then soaked off the VERY last thumb nail. They clipped the nails to make them even, then put cuticle oil on their nails. They then charged me $10 per girl for this. So I paid $20 to get my daughters basically tortured there. I was speechless. I will never go back nor will I ever recommend this salon. read more

My full set did not turn out how I wanted it to. All of my nails were filed short after we cut them to the length I wanted and then my thumbs were uneven and all she did was file the other one down resulting in my thumbs being shorter than the rest of my nails. I asked for a ballerina shape and received somewhat of a mix between that and square, not cute to say the least. And to add on to the disappointment the nail polish was applied sloppy because almost all of my nails are visibly lumpy and uneven! Plus there was spots of nails polish and dried up glue still all over my fingers and behind my nail when I left. The older lady that did my nails was nice which is the only reason I'm putting 2 starts instead of none. read more

me and my friend came here and she was getting a full set and i was just getting a fill in we both got designs on our nails that took about the same amount of time to do. So why was i charged 75$ for a fill AND she was charged 75$ for a full set?? again it was like the same design so extras just a little nail polish. Anyways, so i let it go cause whatever i already paid. the next time (idk why i went back) the guy was doing my nails and he asked if i wanted him to cut them and i had told him no (they aren't long as hell, they are an average length for acrylics) he told me it would be 5$ for the length (again they aren't that long at all) so i told him to cut them then since i was already paying over 60$ for a fill in with no design just color, anyways he told me it would still be 5$ if he did cut them, sooo what am i paying the 5$ for then?? they just want money and overcharge for nothing. he looked at me like i was dumb when i was confused on why im paying the extra money. read more

I was treating myself to a quick Pedi and wanted the Express one advertised on their menu for $20.00. The lady talked me up to the $25.00 Pedi that included leg massage, so I gave in. Shortly after she started, three more customers came in, but there weren't enough techs to handle them at that moment. She hurried through my now $25.00 Pedi by slapping some lotion on my legs and hitting the bottom of my feet, then left me to go help the other customers without a word. I got the deluxe pedicure and the male nail tech did my pedicure and it was one of the most soothing pedicures I've had in a long time, I felt like I was going to fall asleep.
