The mood gel manicure is awesome; however on my first time the lady Kim shows me a price sheet for mani-pedi. I pick the $37 one on the sheet. When I go to pay the guy charges me $55!! WTF?!??? That's $10 more than I pay in Seattle. Tacoma is NOT Seattle....and this place is NOT in the high end of town. This is my absolute all time favorite nail shop! It's incredibly clean and everyone on staff here is incredibly friendly. I have been coming here since they first opened years ago and would never go anywhere else! The prices are great and my nails last a few weeks, it's really good quality - not like other places where after 2 weeks your nails start to lift or chip. Cathy does an amazing job at shaping & polishing my acrylics. if i want it thinner or more narrow she doesn't suggest anything else but just does as i request. i hate when people tell me I can't do something or its not good lol whatever im paying, just please do as i suggest. but anyways... Me into my friends went there before the Super Bowl to get creative pedicures done ahead of time. I had never gone here before however one of my friends that I was with has gone there several times and always had great things to say about this business. As soon as we walked in we were on greeted individually making I contact with each of us asking us what we are in for. My friend responded by stating that she had made reservations for three pedicures we were immediately seated and the pedicures went started without a hitch. The employees were prompt and asking us what to type of pedicure that we wanted they weren't afraid or shy of up selling that's for sure. However after everything was said and done it was fantastic service they made sure to pay nothing but the upmost attention to us at the time. They did fantastic designs on her nails. I walked in and within two minutes was sitting at the manicure table & they were pretty busy when I walked in. All the ladies were nice and complemented each other on doing a great job. Nail Dip? Don't go here. I went there 6 days ago for a nail dip. Went well until the clear coat stage. Nail tech put two clear coats on, it wouldn't dry, she wiped that off and tried again, it dried cloudy. So she then put on clear gel polish, and sent me on my way 2.5 hours later (pedicure too). All total she probably tried 5-6 different times to make it work. That night it started peeling off on half of my nails. Went in the next day and they removed the gel coat with a file which made the surface all bumpy and ridged. She tried the powder dip clear coat again and it dried dull and cloudy. So she wiped that off and put on a regular polish clear coat. This was another hour in the shop. Needless to say I have peeling nails again 5 days later. It was a mess. I called to inquire about a refund and they said "No Refunds" but you can come back in and have them fix it. Would just like to warn people, don't do a dip here. Inexperienced and overpriced. $45 I am currently sitting at another shop that's going to attempt to fix this mess! read more

They have a very minimal selection of regular nail polish colors, a majority of what they have is gel/shellac. The pedicures are overpriced. When i asked if i could sit in a pedicure chair next to my mom that wasn't in use, they told me no and told me to sit on a stool. Kind of rude. I don't recommend this place. read more

Used to be my go-to salon, the ladies are very nice and do a good job but the guy I assume is the owner always seemed kind of off to me. One day there debit machine was acting up and after politely waiting 15+ minutes for him to figure it out and unable to I gave him my phone number, address, drivers license number, and a promise I would come back and pay if it didn't go through after their machine was fixed. He proceeded to call AND text me numerous times, I explained there was a charge on my account from them so I wasn't sure what else they needed. He pretty much called me a liar and called and texted me numerous times while I was at work. I went there often and always tipped very well. But after this experience I will be finding a new salon. Horrible. Came in for a spa pedicure because this place was recommended by a coworker. They do not live up to their name that's for sure. For starters the massage chair only massaged my lower to mid back. In order to get my upper back I had to slouch in the chair. (My head was literally 6 inches under where it SHOULD BE) For my nail art I asked for something relatively simple, a snowflake. I had to wait for someone else to do the art since apparently the girl I got did not know how to do nail art. I waited 5 minutes for another girl to come put the ugliest snowflakes I have ever seen on my big toe. Seriously it was like a child attempted it. So that leaves me to wonder what is so "creative" about this shop if you can't freehand a simple snowflake. Will not be back. Was suggested and had my first visit. The lady who takes down names and cashiers was friendly, however the lady who did my pedicure was unfriendly. Not even a hello, smile, how are you and nothing else. I don't mind at all for no small talk but I think a minimal customer service is required. I would have been happy with a "hows your nail?" "do you like it?" or just a "hello and thank you." It was straight awkwardness for 20 minuets. Not the best service and pedicure. I was pleased the first time I went but the last two times my nails were messed up and last week I just went and paid $70, Which was way too much money I was also overcharged I only had one male that had a design on it and it wasn't even a design to be honest but now I have two broken nails and a crack in one of my other nails. Got gel nails and pedicure was happy with both until six days later when the gel fell off and paint on my toes chipped. Since they gtd for two weeks i made an apt to redue work. I owner said no problem. When i arrived 5 minutes late for my apt he was mad and then proceeded to tell me they would repaint my toes but not my nails. I was seen an hour after my apt.
