This place is... love it or hate it. I keep trying to like it, at the least but I've been there 3 different times when Andy had been rude to people, not just rude but I think the guy gets a kick out of humiliating women, just don't get how you don't care about professionalism more or the customers who you're making a living off of. So i just did my nails here a week ago. My nails were trimmed and clean so i feel like the lady (didn't get her name) felt like she could do them fast. Never paid cuticles any mind, no moisturizing or cleaning anything up, literally started putting my nails on straight away. There's bubbles on top of 3 of my nails and rough edges and there's a gap under all of my nails and the acrylics. My pedicure was good though, thank goodness BUT why don't we get the choice between feel or not now? read more

Walked in this morning and was seen within15 minutes which was great. The salon looked clean and there were plexiglass partitions at every station. The reason I am not giving them more stars is the quality of work. I was very disappointed with the way the nail tech shaped my nails and painted them. The polish was so far away from my cuticles that it looked like I already needed a fill, not to mention the sides of the nails. All the polish was so messy and when I asked her to fix one nail in particular she didn't make it better, she made it worse. Not sure yet if I'll be coming back. read more

If you want to get cut with a nail file and leave feeling disappointed, go see Nancy. I initially tried to let her know the pointer nail was crooked and instead of fixing it--she insisted it was because she was looking at it straight on and I was on the side that created the perception it was crooked. Huh? Despite my bringing it up a couple times, she still didn't fix it. At that point, I figured I'll just get it fixed somewhere else. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything about the crooked nail or said anything about the cut because that just made her more rough with me. Towards the end she then mentioned she was tired. Yikes--was this the justification for an unsatisfactory job. I guess if you want to have a relaxing day at the nail salon--avoid this place. You'll feel like you are a chore. This was my first time coming here and I just felt so disappointed $51 bucks later. :( read more

Even after calling to make an appointment you will wait 30 to 45 minutes for a pedicure. Andy went ahead and did a gel pedicure, he did not ask if that's what I wanted. Now my toenails are all scraped up. Like others have shared, he has a bad mouth, it's very uncomfortable to sit through any procedure with someone like him around, it's impossible to relax. His mom asked him to watch his mouth and behavior multiple times. As he stood at the salon door yelling out a womans name ( that was across the street/walking to her car) then proceeded to flipping her off. It was just a very unprofessional experience. I was planning to have a mani and pedi done, but was only able to withstand staying for the pedi procedure. Also, they also only take cash, but they do have an ATM machine. read more

Not the relaxing experience you expect when getting your nails done. Customer service is horrible and the owners son Andy is extremely unprofessional. He cusses non stop and when asked to watch his mouth as children were around he continue to cuss and provide even worst customer service. Nail tech work is okay, I was not impressed. Me and my mother have been coming to Creative Nails for a very long time. Ive been going for 12 years. My mother has been coming for over 20 years. Lam (owner) does an amazing and effective job every time. You show her a design and it ends up better than the picture! Lee does an amazing job especially with nail shape! All the staff is really lovely and Lee also speaks spanish making our spanish speaking community a lot more comfortable during their appointments. read more

I truly love this place. Yes, you will have to wait for some time if it's really busy. I've waited from 30 minutes to an hour and a half. LISA IS WORTH THE WAIT. She is so sweet and does an amazing job. I've done my nails with her a few times and have loved the results each time. The place is nice and clean. They have a nice restroom. Tried this place two years ago and was disgusted by the service. One of the male nail techs who seemed to possibly be the owners son Andy was doing his friends nails while using the n word several times and cursing profusely. As a black women I was extremely disgusted. Two and a half years later I figured I would try this place again as a last resort and again horrible customer service the women up front has a terrible attitude. I've been going here for about two years and have never had a problem. I went in for a fill but noticed my nail had a stain so I asked to get them off and redone. I told her I wanted my nails a little bit cut and the lady completely cut them to the point where my nails sting. She then went on to tell me she was going to put tips after I told her I only wanted acrylic. She did an overlay and gel. I paid $40. I went back two days later because a nail chipped. The owner, Lam, filed it and told me my nails were too short. After I told her the other lady cut them by accident she went on to say "it's okay honey! They're nails! They're gonna grow!" So I basically paid $40 for a mistake!!! Two days later 3 more nails chipped! I went in and they made the biggest deal. They even told me they would charge me $30 for a new set if I wanted them fixed. $70 in 5 days!! I told her that was ridiculous and i would not pay that. She even told me to come back the next day even though they had a completely empty salon. She ended up fixing the 3 nails. . Today is days 6 and ANOTHER 2 nails broke. WORST nails of my life. I've had good service here in the past but today....Oh my, I had the misfortune of getting a pedicure with a new employee here. A tall young man with glasses, looks up from his phone after I've been standing in the entrance a while.....three other women are busy with customers. Strike 1: As my feet soak he tells me "You don't look like you're from Watsonville, you look like you're from Silicon Valley. (I love Watsonville, and I don't like being stereotyped) Strike 2: As he removes my old nail polish he asks me where I work. I tell him I work here in town. He says "I would never live here. The people are, well, never mind (frowning) I just don't like them". I suggest that he consider speaking kindly of the community where he works. Strike 3: As he is working on my feet, I notice he is somewhat clumsy and easily distracted. He checks his phone, twice. I'm getting nervous. and annoyed...then....as he is cutting a toenail....Ouch!! I say "that hurts! No. Let's just not do any of that, and just put on the polish, okay?" (I figure that's safe) He says, "I don't know what happened you must have thin skin, oops, it's bleeding, that's weird". No kidding. The other three employees looked and acted very professional. Beware of Andy the nail tech!! Rude!! This place is accessible, easy to find- Parking is available. Lot's of color selections. The staff was welcoming when we arrived. The wait was short, The technical work-final product was standard ---BUT the customer service was poor. My mom unfortunately got Andy as her nail tech. He was rude, unprofessional, calling us "weirdos" based on the color selection we had chosen. We asked for him to be patient with us and he stated "I have no patience". He is clearly in the wrong line of work. I still tipped him because his technical nail work wasn't bad, but his customer service was the WORST. If I hadn't advocated for my mom and been there, I'm sure he would've been more rude. I can't imagine what others who may not speak English may go through. Do I recommend Creative Nails, sure! We travel a lot in our RV so we rely on Yep for feedback on any place we go to eat, haircut etc. I love manicures and pedicures as a special treat. Being concerned about cleanliness in a salon is one of my top priorities as well as Yelp feedback. This is my first visit here as we are just passing thru this area and moving onto our next RV stop. This place is clean. Cleaner than most. Didn't see nail dust residue all over, things are tidy and neat. Had a gel polish manicure and pedicure. Came to $55 which is really probably average that I pay. I did have to request to have the old gel polish removed totally. They were content to sand it down and apply new. This is the first place that I've visited that wanted to do that. Anyway I had a nice manicure. As well as a pedicure. Average really. I'm use to being able to choose what level of mani and pedi I want. They don't have that option. Too they are still using water directly into the pedicure chair foot tubs. Most places I've visited recently in California are using plastic liners that are disposed of after each pedicure. The chair I was put in for my pedi was a bit worn out because i can actually sunk down into it - no support. The foot tubs show signs of hard water deposits but appeared to be clean. I was there for 1 hr and 15 minutes for both. Overall I would come back if in the area again and would hope by then they have plastic toss away liners to use in the pedicure chairs. read more
