honestly i've been going to tanya's for a couple of years now to get my toes down, and they do a decent job at that but today I went in to get a fill since my usual Nail Tech wasn't available and I wanted to give them a try to do a simple set. How can you ruin a simple fill right? I left very disappointed with my nails, she barely filled and used the least amount of powder to cover the gaps as you can see in my picture, I wouldn't recommend going there save your time and money.

My 6 year olds nails! She says it's never too early for Christmas.

I know... I have a ton of photos of this place, but I really love getting taken care of here. My go to girl is Amber for nails.

they aren't patient and don't take time, my nails came out fat and wide at the same time very hairy if that's understandabl. I am truly upset of there service. I'm sorry but these people need to shut down asap.

I love coming to this nail salon! Best customer service and Amber does such an amazing job! I showed her a pic how I wanted it and she created something even better! Great staff and super friendly!

Honestly! This place use to be my to go to nail salon until today the nail tech didn't listen to anything I asked her to do I said long French tip , she cuts them short, I'm the type of person that just try to think maybe she didn't hear me because of the mask she puts powder on nail after I said it was nail polish I wanted she kept insisting smh I keep looking at my nails when she was putting on the product I had to stop her , I just wanted to cry how bad my nails looked the size threw me off more then she charges me full prices and paid. Now I gotta go home and cut them off I just wasted gas ,time , to be disappointed. I drove from gilroy to Salinas

Walked in at 2 pm on a Saturday and got lucky, no wait and four staff ready to assist me and my sister. Both of us were seated in no time. We each had ladies working on our pedi's and two gentlemen doing our mani's. Nothing against guy manicurists, but the sweet old man who did my nails gave me the worst mani of my life. His hands were so rough, even with all the lotion the hand massage he gave me felt like my hand and arm were rubbing against an aligator. Thank god it only lasted 20 seconds. Then he cut my cuticles jaggedly, some cuticle was still left, but where he did cut cuticle, he cut too deep. I was bleeding on four fingers. Cuticle cuts sting for hours! :( When he painted my nails, he'd use his knife-like nail to "edge" off paint but it just made it look worse. He touched a few nails as he painted other nails on accident, damaging the paint, but he didnt fix it. I wanted to say something but he was such a sweet old man, kept asking about my day and complimenting me, and the funny thing is when he finished he held my hand took a step back and seemed really proud of his work... I guess i didnt want to dissapoint him... ?? But i feel better now that im posting this. If theres a next time, and he starts to touch my nails, i'll kindly ask for someone else. I still gave three stars for the good job on my pedi, the OPI polish selection, and the hot towels, which were a great touch!

Amber is the best! , I love my new design , she take her time to do my nails , I recommend Tanyas for the friendly personnel!

TERRIBLE JOB! Worst place ever! I paid 30. Dollars to have a fill with one replaced nail ( thumb broke off) I had asked for no gel just regular polish because my Dr. told me to stop using the heat light that they have you put you hand in. Fill is supposed to be 18. They lady kept insisting that I get gel polish when I told her repeatedly that I did not want to have gel polish another employee came over and said why don't I want to gel polish ? It was getting a bit annoying, my nails ended up looking like they do after two weeks of not having my nails touched up!

Absolutely in love with my nails! The 3 ladies who worked on my toes and acrylics were so kind and did exactly what I wanted for my nails! My new favorite salon , 100% recommend

However, when we came in, we did not get greeted - like at all and it was unfortunate because there was two ladies at the front desk Yolanda and Amarie (Amarie was helping another customer and her service seem great. I wish she could've been the one helping us.) on the flyer for the package. There were some add-on services that I had inquired about and that girl Yolanda pretty much told me she didn't know and never got back to me. Didn't ask if Manny the masseuse did not look into it for me it would've been a bust. He offered an alternative service as far as a foot mask. That was an even better option for us so we were pretty thankful for that, but if I had left it up to the other girl, it would've just been when it was . confusion and a whole bunch of nothing Yolanda was the girl that helped us again no greeting She kind of just waved us to the back, pointed at the robes ask us our shoe size and that was really it Once we were changed standing there awkwardly, she walked me into a room and left my mom in the hallway and then asked me. Did you tell your mom to come -I looked at her like girl I don't even know what's going on so why would I tell her to come once we went to the room? It was like again we were kind of just sitting there like what's going on a few minutes later she brought in a glass of champagne for my mom so we hung out there for about 30 minutes before they took us back for the massage. I think it was a really big missed opportunity to say "hello Welcome to aqua blue. My name is so-and-so thank you for booking this package" or happy Mother's Day whatever but she literally didn't greet us at all. My mom looked bummed that it was starting off with a really lackluster experience I paid $400 for this package You would think once they saw my reservation for such a package they would've at least acknowledged it in some way By the time we got upstairs, I was pretty frustrated with the service we were receiving -thank goodness Ruben and Manny were really friendly and helpful. It probably would've been lower stars if Manny wouldn't have been so unbelievably sweet, caring and compassionate. My mom was really struggling getting off her jewelry and nobody would help her. I have really long nails so I was struggling. Manny was the only person nice enough to attempt to help her and put it back on after the massage was completed To be honest for $400 I was pretty disappointed. Manny did a great job and I am very thankful for him. My mom was really happy with Ruben. But did I feel like I was there getting a luxurious experience for Mother's Day absolutely not! Did I feel like we were bothering them with a groupon package absolutely! The advertise these chocolates that they had, I asked about them they didn't have any available. It just seemed like a lot of missed opportunities and we were there the day before Mother's Day so any of the ladies that went on actual Mother's Day We're probably super bummed that they didn't have any of the accoutrement offered. Sad part is the following weekend. I took my mom to happy feet down the street and she got a foot and neck massage and I got a neck and shoulder massage and the total was $70 and to be honest I felt more relaxed when I was leaving there, then I did with aqua blue . I'm kind of glad I decided to do that because honestly, I was going to book with Manny again because he was amazing but with those prices to not be happy was pretty unacceptable. My dad passed recently, so Mother's Day had proven to be harder than expected. That's why I wanted to do something extra special for her this year by booking the spa. We have been to massage envy before and that's honestly where I was gonna go this time, but I was trying to do an elevated experience that was outside of a corporate place but honestly, I think even the value at massage envy is greater than here because again with those prices to not be happy it's just crappy honestly it took me a while to write the review because I didn't want to seem Like I didn't enjoy the time with my mom. I absolutely did. I just didn't enjoy the lack of customer service- if I was paying what I paid over there at happy feet this would've been a five star review but $400 later to leave unsatisfied.... All I'm saying is I'm down to spend some money and I'm down to spend some good money on quality stuff. I just feel kind of ripped off.

Everything here is clean and everyone is respectful. You check in and they give you a water and a key to a locker. The locker rooms are clean and each have towels and a super comfy robe. After changing you get to explore. We started with the sauna which has a wall of Himalayan salts. It was packed when we first went in yet despite how many people were in there the room is completely silent. After the sauna we headed over to the cold plunge- they have two options, cold and cool. Probably about and 10-15 degree difference in temperature, both were perfect to plunge in after the sauna. Then we warmed back up in the hot tubs, which again they have two options, warm and hot. We also went into the steam rooms which were great for my husband who was congested at the time. The eucalyptus and steam helped him so much and smells great! There are also fire pits to sit by and enjoy and zero gravity chairs which are in a room with some wonderful relaxing music. The silence policy is very strictly followed which was amazing. I think my favorite aspect of this concept is that even polite courtesies which are typically expected when around strangers are not expected. Everyone is respectful without feeling the need to say anything. It's was so refreshing. There was only one group at one point of 5 young girls all enjoying the hot tub and chatting quite loudly ( we could hear them from inside the sauna) but seems like maybe someone said something to them because when we passed by them later on they were still talking but whispering. Other than that I don't think I heard a word from anyone the entire time. I just wish we had been able to get massages, we booked this last minute (our fault) and everything was full. Next time (and there will definitely be a next time) we will get massages! Yet even without a massage I still left feeling as though we had had one, that's how relaxed we were.

I agree with a lot of the reviews that say the hot tub has some wear and tear, it does, but we were still very comfortable and happy. The tub was worn down so you can see the stains, however, it was clean. It may be off putting for some ppl, just fyi. It was very quiet and peaceful with a lovely view. The sauna was also a nice touch. Wish there was a cold plunge, but we used the shower instead for a cold rinse. I have an anxious mind and it's very hard for me to relax, I didn't achieve it here, but was able to calm my nerves just a bit. My bf loved it and was fully able to zen out and enjoyed the sauna. The teas were nice pairing. Afterwards we had our massages. The masseuses looked like students, but overall they did a nice job, not the best, but it was calming. Unsure if they are certified. We have had various massages & I have my go to. These ones were just okay. My masseuse was kind and made sure the pressure was okay for me. I didn't get a hot towel afterwards to wipe the oil/lotion off so I was left sticky when we went out for dinner in DT SC. I think because of social media I was itching to try this place. A bit on the pricier side for the quality, however, more affordable compared to other Bay Area places. Staff were nice, street parking. Pay to park.

It's not cheap because it happens to be nestled into a prime location. Of course, camping elsewhere is an option. But to get to a break-even point, you must factor in clean sheets, hot shower, three square meals, and the fraternity of right-minded people. Then there are the workshops. They aren't for everybody. You'll need to shop around. I did a hiking workshop, was paired with a nice group of people from across the country, and led by an experienced and capable team. The "safety in numbers" concept adds value. We stayed in a queen bed w/ private bath and ocean view in a building called Rolf on a cliff above the baths. With the patio door cracked you could hear the ocean crash into the rocks below and feel a cool breeze all night long. It was unforgettable and as cozy as being rocked to sleep. We did heed some of the yelp comments, here are a few: (1) brought our own pillows, what was provided were flat; (2) brought our own blanket, comfier; (3) Brought our own soap and shampoo, liquid soap was provided; (4) Brought our own towels, didn't need them; and (5) brought our own coffee pot, the coffee at the lodge was good. We understood there were nicer rooms at higher price points; but we were happy with where we were. On cleanliness, I didn't see a problem. It just so happens I was in the military, have been around, and so my tolerance levels have been irreversibly affected. The meals were ok. I registered as an omnivore and it seems this group is subordinate to the vegetarian and vegan crowd. Some of these dishes were outside my immediate preference and so I became pleasantly surprised quite a few times. Good learning opportunity. Nice touch too with the section of fresh fruits and veggies on the side. Like others, I could go on and on. Overall, I highly recommend it!

The salad, miso, soft boiled eggs are gone. The bread bar isn't a party like it used to be, uninviting and cramped is how I would describe it now. The breakfast classic. eggs, potatoes, meat is now served, although it's comforting, it's not the steamed chard I came for. Since I can remember, people always rave about the food, how healthy they are eating, what their bowel movement was like. Now you can maintain your mundane eating habits if you desire. I appreciated breaking people out of their dietary boxes. There was some shitaki dishes that I really appreciated in the evenings. * At one point I was approached by a very large man wearing all black, he asked for my room key, "for my own safety" it was a security guard. I was sitting in front of the lodge talking with a friend. We had been in the lodge talking but left to avoid him because we wanted our space. Then we had to engage with him and proved we belonged there. I've been to Esalen maybe 15 times and that was a first for me. I did not like it. *im still really irked about having to weasel a face cradle for the massage tables at the baths every time I attend. The cradles mount are 10" in case you couldn't find anyone on the phone to answer that question in advance. At the front desk you SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE A DEPOSIT TO BORROW A FACE CRADLE. Hey Esalen, you have massage courses all the time, please instal a hand washing trough so we can sanitize like professionals. Esalen he's definitely priced out most of its massage students from getting a massage. Which is very ironic. I 100% just told a friend to take massage courses at Esalen the other day. You can't replace that foundation of education. Told him not to join the cult, just take the classes.
