Every team member is so personable and caring. The dentists are gentle, thorough and knowledgable. My hygienist, Kaitlin, is the BEST! Very positive at all times and during all challenges. This is the most friendly, helpful dentist I've ever experienced in my life. From when you walk in, they're very nice. They're on time. They explain things thoroughly to you. The doctor is so kind. He has a great personality and makes you laugh. How many of you can say you went to the dentist and cracked up. We had been patients at Creative Smiles on North Oracle for about 5 years, no more. I have to say that it was interesting to read other reviews as our experience did not mirror theirs. From the start we always felt like we were in a car dealership and not a dental office. There was constant pressure to buy items such as Sonic Care toothbrushes to various procedures. We tolerated that but the last straw was Dr Jus recommendation for a crown at a cost of $1,600.00. Not just the recommendation but the need to act immediately. He wanted me to come in within a few days. I declined and glad I did. I had exams with two other dentists and did not mention Dr. Ju's crown recommendation. Neither recommended a crown, even after I informed them that one was recommended by Creative Smiles. Have been taking my 6 year old daughter there for a year or so. I go there also. So I took my daughter in for her 1st time having a filling done. They came out to the lobby and told me you need to sign this for for nitrous oxide. We had talked previously at the last visit about we probably not use it , but will think about, so when I told the girl that we were not going to use the laughing gas she had attitude with me, so we did end up signing it. We got back to the room and my daughter sat down in the chair and started crying, so I bent down and told my daughter that I would be right her, the Dental assistant them told me I would be sitting in chair right outside the room, so from this moment I was like you have to be kidding me. Also we were told that this dental assistant was very good with kids, she did nothing to make her feel more safe and comfortable. I asked if I could sit right over in the corner were she can see me, she said no strongly. So at this point you have a 6 year old crying and afraid, and did nothing to accommodate the situation, So let's pause for a min. No where did I interject and in form her that I am a Pediatric Registered Nurse at a Hospital. So when we have to do a procedure on a kid. Like let's say put in a IV in a child. Parent can be right there holding there hand and help calming them down, we have a Child life Specialist come and talk to tho kids before we do anything and they are also there during the procedure to help distract them. Ok so at this point I told the Dental Assistant that if your not going to let me sit inside this room during the filling we are leaving, she said nothing, so we got up and walked out. So my wife called them back when we got back to the house and wanted to talk to the manager, she was in a meeting, so they said she will call you when she gets out, we never heard from the manager that day or the next day, so I called the Creative Smiles and told the schedulers to cancel all other appointments for my whole family, and we still never got a call from the manager , so poor customer service, read more

BEWARE!!!!!!!! Their motto is to create illusions and untruths about what treatment you need. I went there for a teeth cleaning. I was told by staff that the cost would be $149.00, which includes two teeth cleaning and one set of x-rays. Showed up for my appt. in May for my teeth cleaning. The hygienist then proceeded to indulge me with every kind of images and scare tatics know to mankind. I never agreed to anything other than a teeth cleaning. This gets much worse, but I just want to make a strong point of how unethical this was. They never performed the teeth cleaning. I was then told that I required $2104..... in treatments. The classic Bait and SWITCH. I went to another dentist to have my teeth cleaned. The actual cleaned my teeth as agreed to. No other findings of any kind. The dentist commended how good my teeth were and how strong they are. I scheduled another appt. for six months. I am currently working with other agencies to resolve my concerns. I do not want anyone else to suffer through such abuse. I will continue to update my post with more information in the future. read more

This office is amazing. Like most people, going to the dentist is not high on my list of fun things to do. But honestly, my experience was pleasant. The entire staff is so friendly. The staff works as a team in a way I've rarely seen. They are efficient, knowledgeable, and thorough. Everyone goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and understand everything they are doing. Dr. Ju immediately made me feel at ease as she explained her course of action in terms of my dental work. I cannot emphasize enough what professionalism and compassion Dr. Ju exuded, which I find extremely important as I suffer from slight dentist anxiety. I was there because I had a swollen cheek/infection. They xrayed and prodded the teeth and gums. They could not see a problem so referred me to another clinic that has specialized in testing. A very well respected business. The beauty of the place was they got me in on a Monday when no one else would see me. They were kind and courteous and I looked at my bite wings too. I've never written a review, let alone a bad one here but this situation is getting far from frustrating. My husband went in for a crown. When it arrived they sat him down and the dentist dropped it and he swallowed it. Because they wanted to make sure it didn't end up in his lungs, he had to go to Urgent Care for an Xray. A new crown was ordered. Long story, short, they canceled 3 appointments because the new crown did not arrive. When it did it didn't fit right and a 3rd crown had to be ordered. Day of appointment he gets a call canceling the visit. This has been going on for 2 or 3 months now (I've lost count). I certainly understand accidents happening and labs being at fault but there have been SO many, too many incidents. In addition, they make you pre-pay so they have had our money all of this time. Unfortunately we have lost all confidence with these people and will be looking for a new dentist. My husband just left for his umpteenth visit. I hope this is the end of the story! read more

Just moved here from Hawaii and Creative Smiles was just what we were looking for in a Dentist who is kind, caring, and is in the business of making your mouth in the best possible shape. The office is beautiful and so charming that you feel so relaxed. Then you meet the staff who are above amazing and show you around the office. Wonderful amenities are provided to you for your relaxation while in the chair. The dental hygienist treated my teeth and gums as though I was family, 'Ohana'. Then I saw the dentist who is the best I have seen and I am 65 years of age. She was so through going over my records and teeth. We discuss a plan for a few troubled areas. This family practice is outstanding, beginning with the friendly, customer service related receptionists. Drs. Ju are both good and it's obvious they like doing what they do...bringing beautiful smiles to our area. They offer their own insurance, giving a 20% discount to services. The hygienists (mine is Laurie) are very good taking care of the mouth and teeth. I especially like the fact they aren't "pushy" when they recommend services. They also can connect to Care Credit, an interest free paying service. While I always have paid via the six month plan, yesterday, the billing person said they could work with me....and offered a 12 month plan. Bingo! I am now able to afford the two crowns on my front teeth; something I've avoided for some time now. read more

I had a major communication problem with this office from the get-go. For a simple dental cleaning, I was billed $40 more than my insurance paid. I paid it at the time of service. Two months later, another bill came for the same cleaning for an additional $30 or so. I was thus asked to pay more for a basic cleaning than what they advertised, even after my insurance had paid for most of it. No explanation was ever given. The statement just said I owed an additional $30. (My former dentist of almost 40 years never charged more for a cleaning than what the insurance paid!) When I scheduled my fall cleaning, I had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment. When I arrived a few days ago, the dentist said our relationship was not a good fit and I should find another dentist. I did not get my teeth cleaned and I believe I should have been told that when I made the appointment, instead of wasting almost a month. Now I have to wait until March for a new dentist. Another oddity: I was given a proposal for 12 new crowns (Lava Zirconium) at my first visit in May. The proposal was sent to my insurance but it was rejected. I decided to go ahead with this proposal, nonetheless, at my own expense. The product I wanted was not available to see. However, when I went in for my aborted cleaning, the coveted crown was there. But I was then told they had not done this procedure before and I should, again, find another dentist. The dentist said: "You won't be happy with the results." Strange choice of words. Strange that the initial proposal had come from them. Bewildered. Strange way to communicate. I wasted quite a bit of time at this office without receiving the dental service I needed. If you go there, you probably will want to be somewhat passive. Clients who question anything are apparently dismissed and sent away. This is a new practice for these dentists. They are certainly nice enough and they seem to be trying to work out the business arrangement. I'm not certain who is actually in charge in this office. I believe they are skilled at dentistry but definitely need to work out their office management, finances and billing, understanding of dental insurance, client relationships and, most importantly, communication. I'm still totally bewildered by all of this. read more

Dr. Jeannie and entire staff at Creative Smiles is awesome! They are very caring, professional, and you definitely feel warm and fuzzy! What dentist office does that? Not too many...... I went in for a cracked tooth and they were able to get me in right away! They showed me the X-rays and explained everything they were going to do along with best and worse case scenario so I was in the loop what to expect. While Dr. Jeannie was working on me she checked in every few minutes to make sure I was doing ok. Her voice was very soft and caring~also she says to you "you are doing great". Dr. Jeannie is very detailed and a perfectionist so you will have the utmost top of the line procedure done! She takes pride in her work like you are her family. Just went in for my 6 month cleaning and the new office is awesome! Not only do they have the state of the art equipment, but they have a patient menu~that's right! A menu! Neck pillow, soft blanket(which I had during my crack tooth procedure), water, tea or juice,granola bar snack, and lip balm. Oh and you wear sunglasses while they work on you so water or anything doesn't get in your eyes. Talk about thinking of everything! :) I hope I didn't forget anything. Oh and after your procedure, you are given a hot towel for your face and hands. Thank you!!! Buyer Beware!!!!! This office recently took over the office of Dr. Beverly Agnew who we have been patients of for over 15 years. I make my appointments six months in advance due to my work schedule and unfortunately we seemed to be missed in the notifications that Dr. Agnew had retired. Instead of Dr. Jeannie's staff reaching out and calling me to confirm that we had received notification of Dr. Agnew's retirement and discuss if it would be convenient to move my appointment to a different time, they just went ahead and did it without discussing it with me, and the evening before the appointment, left confirmation message with the changed time, leaving me helpless to make any changes to my work day the next day to try and accommodate the appointment. Needless to say I was furious! When I called to find out what had happened, they were closed for business for three days. I called the after hours number to try and address the situation, Dr. Jeannie was very rude, did not want to take ownership for their mistake and suggested that perhaps I find another dentist that fit my lifestyle. The sad part is that not only does she loose me as a patient, but she also looses my husband, my parents, and also my in-laws, for a total of six patients with one mis-handled phone call. That is what poor customer service does. read more
