I've had awful luck trying to simply get a call back from anywhere close to home so thankfully my friend and coworker recommended Dr Engle. Even though it was a drive, it was worth it. The office has a nice and calm ambiance, the X-ray and examination was a breeze. They explained everything that would be needed and when meeting with billing, the explanation of cost was reasonable and understandable. I'm thankful they give you a certain amount of time to pay and a link to even do so. After my consultation, paying my portion, i have my first deep cleaning tomorrow and then another appt is set for the 2nd portion. The cavities will be taken care of on the 3rd visit so it'll be a journey but I'm thankful I have this dentist to take care of my teeth. I set up a new appointment a month out before set up time for today. I arranged to take time off from work this afternoon to get there. I called the office to verify 6 hours ahead today and was told the appointment was canceled because someone had been trying to call me all week and left several voice messages which is a lie. I asked for the times that someone called and the staff could not tell me. There was absolutely no voice messages. The staff said, sometimes people don't show so we need to know ahead of time, that's why we canceled. I asked am I being punished for other people mistakes???? I finally got my tooth pulled! I was impressed by Kasey's proactiveness in getting the predetermination done. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was good, before my appointment. She even was super helpful when I was making a payment for the removal. Dr. Engle was amazing! He was super patient with me, while I was having a panic attack, during the procedure. They took their time and stopped when I needed them to. Next time I'll opt for a mild sedative before I do anything. Very good experience. read more

My family and I had a great initial experience with Presidio Dental. The appointments were easy to make, the initial appointments went very well and we were glad that we had found a dentist's office that we liked. Our opinions quickly changed however when we were told we needed special cleanings in addition to the regular cleanings that typically occur every six months, but were assured that our insurance would cover it. The first time this happened, I came in for my regular cleaning and was told that I needed extra cleaning but it should be covered by insurance. This changed though when they sent me a bill for the cleaning. Once the bill came in, they used a billing code that is normally reserved for patients whose teeth are so bad, that they have to be cleaned before the doctor does their initial examination. This obviously was not the case as I had already been seen by the doctor for my initial examination and the doctor had no problem conducting the exam. When I pointed out the error, they apologized, said they would not charge me for the cleaning but said they were going to leave the billing as is. Then, another member of my family got her teeth cleaned and was asked to come back in 3 months for another cleaning but she was assured that it would be covered by insurance. The cleaning was performed 3 months later and again, we got a bill for the cleaning Seven weeks ago, I sent an email to the office to the same address I had used previously to correspond with them before with questions about the bill we received. No one has contacted my either by email or phone to this day. The people in the office are nice and I was happy with the work they did. I was willing to chalk the first issue up to an oversight or poor communication on the office's or technician's part but twice makes me think this place is way too shady and I will not recommend them because of this. read more

Hrmm.....what to say that 5 stars doesn't tell you already? Reception: awesome, friendly, helpful, calming (and for me that is important), funny, and made the payment plan for my dental work ALMOST understandable....which is far greater than anyone else could have done. Hygienist was polite, reassuring me and my crybaby attitude. Dr. Engle was professional, polite, considerate, and wasn't Lucifer....yes I have Dentist issues.... Dr Engle missed 2 areas of decay even after I said it was a problem area. A panoramic X-ray was sent from my oral surgeon before the exam and bite wing xrays and photographs were taken at the appointment. When I asked how the decay was missed, Dr Engle said it was because I did not brush my teeth before I came. What?! Sorry, trying to attach the patient does not excuse your incompetence! read more

New to the area. Very hard to just roll the dice on a dentist. Dr is prior service so I went with him. Was able to get same day appt and they stayed open late to take care of it. Not a Dental meat shop where they try to get as many people in and out as fast as they can. Very nice staff, very clean and professional. Accept Military Retiree Dental Insurance. We've been seeing Dr. Engle for years now and my family always feels like we are met with kindness and provided with trustworthy information in addition to unmatched professionalism on the office and chair side. We know personally that Dr. Engle and his staff stand by their work and that means alot to us. It's good to see this practice is expanding and continuing to do well and so far we have not had any issues with making appointments or billing. When our insurance no longer had Dr. Engle as in-network, his staff called to inform us and offer us options which was very nice but we liked this practice so much we didn't switch. Ultimately, if you want a dentist and staff who treat you well and are transparent, this practice exceeds those criteria. read more

Super nice staff. We are within walking distance and when my son had to go alone due to my work schedule, they called me to let me know he had gotten there and then called me when he left. My kids really like everyone there. They have been amazing. read more

Best experience I've ever had at a dentist. I have had horrific experiences with dentists in the past resulting in ridiculous anxiety. I avoided the dentist as long as possible, and spent hours digging through reviews for a place that could relate, and I struck gold at Presidio. For starters, the office is beautiful and immaculate, and they even offer iPads for use in the front waiting room. I chipped my front tooth halfway off last night, which was a horrifying experience in itself, and I called to see what they could do early this morning. The receptionist is an absolute sweetheart and extremely comforting, and luckily they had a cancellation and got me in today. The dentist and his hygienist were just as nice and comforting, and I was in and out in under an hour with a fixed smile. I'm so relieved to say I finally found a dentist this fantastic. Hopefully this can help someone in a similar situation make their dental choice. :) read more

Our insurance, unfortunately, mostly covers big "chain" dental offices and I did not want that. So I was thrilled when I found Presidio. Kacy is actually pleasant and very helpful - a rarity in the dental front office world! Appointments and cleanings went well and were covered by insurance. We got a referral for an oral surgeon and will be doing braces as well. I felt like the options were explained and the decisions were up to us. No upselling. No over treating. Whew! I may actually enjoy going to the dentist. read more

Could not be more friendly and accommodating! I've had some horror story-type experiences with previous dentists but Presidio is really top notch! The only reason they get 4 starts (instead of 5) is because its a small office so it could take a long time to get an appointment booked. For instance, when I tried to schedule a simple teeth cleaning I discovered they were booking 4 months out!! That seems pretty extreme to me. When I asked about why the booking for a simple procedure is so far out they said its because one of their hygienists was on maternity leave. So apparently they have so much business that their remaining hygienist is booked four solid months out. Aside from this issue (which will hopefully be resolved once their other hygienist comes back), I've had no issues. The dentist is gentle and friendly and the office staff is very kind and professional. Tip: They give discounts if you pay up front at the time of booking your service! read more

This office has the feel of a small town, in that everyone is so friendly, asks about my kids, professional but also personal, but with a modern feel of design and equipment. I have sensitive teeth and have never enjoyed getting my teeth worked on, but the atmosphere in this office, as well as the personnel, really help relax me and make an unpleasant thing so much better. This office is truly wonderful. Very welcoming and friendly, also has a nice open concept to it. At first I almost thought that was strange but then realized its really great that it doesn't seem like anything is hidden from the patients. It is always very clean as well which I love. They have tvs for you to watch during your procedure which at first I thought was over the top but it is a lovely distraction now that I am used to it. I hadn't been to the dentist in 6 years due to budget constraints and was very nervous. I had done an exam and consult at another place previously where the doctor was very "cold" and gave me a huge estimate. Dr E has such a better demeanor and even explained to me why some of the things the previous dentist recommend actually were not needed and should not be done. So right away I was pleased with needing less work. Then the fabulous front desk staff broke down what I needed done into exact appts and worked out my portion of the costs so I could be prepared. I have been in the office a total of 4 times now and every time I leave more pleased with their consistency to quality. And my teeth look and feel great! All nerves of going to the dentist are gone! read more
