Steve came in and helped me get my Oakland loft into organization while I was down with a debilitating injury. He arranged furniture in my loft, hung all my art/ paintings, organized drawers & closets and really made the place feel great. I think his organizing of my home helped accelerate my healing process. Steve is everything that has been said here and more. I just had my 3rd baby, and my house just seems to get smaller, more crowded and cluttered. And my toddler is getting into everything! I would normally not call someone to do what I think I should be doing myself, but I reached a point of overwhelm and picked up the phone, and I am so glad I did. Steve is so fast and just, well, organized. As each room emerged from the chaos and clutter, my mental state improved. I have no doubt that I may backslide here and there but it nice to know that I can call Steve and he will whip things back into shape! Steve Adams is better than most organizers because he is nonjudgmental and just "gets to work". In preparation for having new flooring installed throughout my condo, I had to purge, pack up and store everything. I hired Steve to plan the layout for the new placement of my furniture when the movers returned it, and to help me purge my clothing. Steve was amazing. He measured all of my furniture and used CAD to develop several furniture layouts for me. In three hours, he purged my clothing and moved my wardrobe from the 1980's to 2014. I donated over twenty bags of clothing and now my clothing is organized and fits in my closet. I hired Steve and another colorist for color consultations. Although Steve seemed like a nice guy and had a few good ideas, the other consultant, Angelisse Karol, seemed much more thorough, detailed and professional. Her rates are about double what he charges, but this seems to be a case of getting what you pay for (not that Steve is cheap). He just seemed to me like a creative neighbor providing general decorating tips (solicited and unsolicited) and she seemed like a seasoned professional with lots of knowledge, experience and contacts. And she can often get you discounts with vendors, so that offsets some of the expense of hiring her. read more

Wish I could give him 6 stars! Steve came to our house today for 3 hours and what was accomplished in that time blew my mind. He works fast and knows what he's doing and also targeted the areas that were causing us the most grief. Steve jumped right in and wasn't intimidated by our multitude of junk drawers and piles and piles of paper/toys/junk. It was like watching a tornado in reverse, from total destruction to tidy and calm. I especially liked that he got his hands dirty and worked right alongside us. I hired Steve to help me do some re-decorating and space organizing for a housewarming/birthday party I was hosting for some friends and former Google colleagues. As a busy professional, I have little time to prepare for parties or events. I knew Steve from other business associations and decided to give his space organizing services a try. I needed help with the party and getting my place set up for friends to come visit as it was my first home purchase. Steve came to my house and did a walk-thru to assess my decor and my furniture. He then immediately made some suggestions for how I could maximize my room space and furniture placings. We also reviewed where my artwork should hang. He then spent a few hours re-organizing my furniture placement and hanging my art throughout my home. He then moved on to my kitchen to do set up for the party. Steve was a dynamo! I did not have to ask him for anything or give any direction. He made suggestions, improved upon my current house design and once we agreed, he just went to town working. I honestly believe Steve could bring order back after tornado. There is an expression about never letting a bull loose in a china shop, well if Steve is around to organize the shop afterwards, no one would ever notice a bull had been loose.
