Called the number on my receipt for the Tempe office but the Phoenix office answered. Ashley stated that she managed both locations so she would have her girls work on that refund. Refund hit but I noticed it was just for the difference in the board pricing not the tax or tip. Difference was about $13. Decided not to make a fuss and just left it as I was happy I could change it. Received a confirmation email the day before my event stating my boards were to be ready for pick up at 12 on sat. Perfect because our party started at 1! My daughter showed up at 12:12 and they said they weren't expecting her until one! Furious after finding this out I called the Tempe office, again went to Phoenix office, and I explained to Sophie what was happening. She proceeded to tell me that no one was even at the Tempe office,‍ I responded well they better be because my daughter was there to pick up the order. She apologized and gave me Ashley's (same manager) direct number. Called and left a detailed message regarding issue and to please return my phone call. By this time it was 12:30 half an hour before my guest were to arrive. Received Ashley's call at 1:00pm and she apologized and stated the ticket had printed out for 1:00 not 12:00! I told her that's NOT my problem! Then she stated that her girls had told someone waiting for their order (assuming my daughter) had just ok'd the order to be done now at 1:30?! Confused and livid by this point as my guests were arriving, I asked Ashley how we now were at an hour and a half late?! She said she would call her girls and find out if for sure it was my daughter and then I should call my daughter and see if indeed it was our order that was ok'd to be done at 1:30 and she would call me back. I called my daughter and thankfully she was on her way home with the boards. So, to complete this review, they are disorganized, not well managed and seem to "print" out a 12pm order for 1pm pick up. Ashley did call back at 1:05 and I had to interrupt her apology as my guests were arriving with no food to offer them. I have ordered from this company before and had no issues at all. That is why I decided to order again. Im so very disappointed and embarrassed my guests had no food to offer until 1:30pm when my daughter returned from her nightmare. Many of my guests were in awe of the boards and asked where they were from. Sadly I couldn't give them a good recommendation as my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Since it is Sunday, I'm sure I won't be able to contact and dispute this until Monday but again, disappointed, confused by their confusion and will never use this company again!

She has years of experience working in kitchens and is passionate about sharing Salvadoran food to the Valley. Bibi's serves classics like Pupusas and Pollo Guiesado. I live next to The Sleepy Whale in Chandler where Bibi's Kitchen does a lot of their pop-ups. I love the pupusas here. A pupusa is a grilled handmade flatbread (made from masa dough) that is stuffed with ingredients like pork, beans, and cheese and topped with curtido (cabbage). The tacos here have a nice crispy shell and are awesome too. One thing I notice every time I stop by is that Bridget makes time to chat with her customers. She is very warm and friendly. I have no doubt Bibi's Latin Kitchen will one day have its own permanent location. We ordered brisket sandwiches and the brisket crazy nachos. The quality was not up-to-par from what we were expecting. The meat was dry and not very flavorful. The nacho chips did not seem high quality and were stale. The cheese was a very generic cheese so it did not blend well. The brisket sandwich was decent, but the the bread was better than the meat as it was more flavorful and moist. They also gave us potato salad for the side and that was poor as well. It was mainly mayonnaise and it seemed like it only had potato and nothing else. They are a food truck from the West Valley, but they have a stand alone in Mesa. I think they are spread thin and that might be affecting their quality. I would not go back again, but I do hope they figure out how to improve so that their future patrons can enjoy BBQ!

The fatty brisket and cheese were abundant and delicious in the loaded tater tots. I'm sold on these. My wife's brisket sandwich was very good from what I was able to taste and the BBQ sauce is not doing to much. Most try to manipulate a good sauce too much and end up messing it up. Their sauce was awesome. The restaurant was immaculate and one can even see the open kitchen which was kept amazingly clean. The service was kind and friendly and attentive to detail. Situated in front of a Standard Restaurant Supply store and, appropriately, next to the East Valley Institute of Technology, is a great breakfast and lunch eatery run by culinary students under the tutelage of a chef/instructor. Like most other "school/retail" establishments such as massage schools, beauty schools, hair institutes and the like, two things are prominent here: a great price and value for a product, and a high likelihood of receiving a quality product and service. However, because this is a school run by learning students, there is the chance that one or both of these things will be amiss; but that tends to not be the norm here. Inside there is a travel theme clearly conceived and decorated by students. There are mosaics, paintings and even metal wall art that no doubt has been crafted by EVIT students that fit nicely into a student run/themed restaurant. The colors inside are appealing and attractive, refreshing even. There is also a nice outdoor seating area to enjoy your meal al fresco. From the outside, it is obvious that Bistro 13 is a former fast food building. This allows for ample parking and the presence of a drive-thru. If you are in a hurry or want an order to go, just call ahead and pick up your meal from the drive-thru. Because each order is cooked fresh, service can be a bit slow, but you are rewarded with a hot, fresh and tasty meal. I was told that everything is made fresh, on premises, including such things as dressings, sauces and dips, waffle cut fries and even desserts. In addition, there are daily specials that seem to fit the overall theme of "Global Cuisine," so look forward to additional surprises not seen on the regular menu. One drawback of freshly prepared food cooked to order is that wait times for your meal can go into the 10+ minute range for something like the tasty Panko Chicken Fingers or a Sonoran Chicken Sandwich even when moderately busy. However, the food is generally worth the wait. This is also why you will want to call ahead before using the drive-thru. When dining inside, you order and pay at the counter, then the food is delivered to you by one of the students or instructors. There is real flatware wrapped in napkins and real glassware used for the beverages - so kudos to EVIT for not going the "disposable" route. So what about the food? Besides being hot and fresh, the flavors are distinct, not over the top, and proportionally thought through. There is a nice level of spice, when appropriate, and seasoning is consistently spot-on. The sauces and dressings are tasty and distinct enough from each other to please almost any palette. The fries are seasoned nicely, and are only enhanced by NOT HEINZ ketchup - but a proper International Red Sauce that usually is called catsup. (Read my other reviews and you will know my affinity for catsup that is not the rotten tasting, overly-sweet, lacking real tomato flavor, Heinz variety that is way too prevalent in restaurants today - please, more places offer any other brand besides Heinz, you are doing your food a dis-service by using Heinz). But, I digress. Other notable touches are homemade pickle spears that are crispy crunchy and distinctly seasoned and the ability to substitute bread on a sandwich with two grilled Portobello mushrooms for a low-carb option. Overall, I am impressed with the food choices offered at Bistro 13. Given the reasonably priced menu items, I know most diners will be happy they stopped here. Just know that the hours are limited to two and a half hours for breakfast and three hours for lunch after being closed for an hour in between, so get to breakfast by 9:30am or lunch by 1:30pm and if you go at 10:00am or 2:00pm, you are out of luck; so plan ahead. Chef made mini skewers of marinated beef, chicken and shrimp, then grilled veggies, sweet peppers and topped it all of with a delicious chicken fried rice. This was a super hit.
