Mark came out, measured both areas, picked the one he thought worked best, showed me the design, and asked what I wanted. I told him: tough, hard to play, something that simulates real golf. That's what we got. Letting Mark design it the way he thought was best was the right call. The customer service was incredible. The pool company had left the drain area unfinished, so Mark drove to Lowe's, picked up a drain cover, and came back to finish it himself. He even updated where the irrigation should run to make it a fun, usable four-hole green. That level of attention to detail, not just letting things slide, was consistent throughout. We also had them install artificial turf in the other area. With young kids, Mark thought about details I wouldn't have, making sure it was soft underfoot and wouldn't get too hot. He really listened. He came back a week later for a walk-through and cleaned up the edges to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. The price was very reasonable for what we got, and the end product is so much fun. The green is tricky. You have to get the pace and angle right. Clean borders, no seams, smooth and level. With the staircase and multiple contours that they had to contend with, it wasn't a typical typical dog run, but they cut the turf perfectly to the complex area and the project came out extremely clean. They even installed a french drain at no extra cost when they realized it would be necessary to preserve the integrity of the turf. They nicked an irrigation pipe which was completely reasonable and expected, given the criss-crossing network of pipes, but they were quick to own up to it and repair it with no questions asked. This team is just starting out in Austin in an effort to expand beyond their Las Vegas home base, which explains the low (but positive) number of ratings. Give them a chance; I promise you won't be disappointed.

It feels like the base underneath has shifted, making parts of the lawn soft and unstable to walk on. We've been trying to get this warranty issue resolved for more than six months. We were asked to send photos, which we did, and we were repeatedly told that someone would come out to fix the problem. Unfortunately, despite countless follow-up messages over several months, no one ever showed up and the issue was never resolved. We even ran into Zac by chance in person, hoping that would finally move things forward. He apologized and told us he would send someone the following week. Based on his promise, I rearranged my schedule and changed my plans to make sure I would be available. Unfortunately, once again, no one came. There wasn't even a phone call, text message, or courtesy notice to let us know they weren't coming. After that, they simply stopped responding again. The most disappointing part wasn't the defect itself--problems can happen with any project. The real issue was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and follow-through. When you pay for a professional installation, you expect the company to stand behind its work and honor its warranty. Unfortunately, that never happened. I cannot recommend US Turf based on my experience. If customer service and warranty support are important to you, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I accepted the change so as to not generate more turf waste and get a little more turf area. This is a Fort Worth company. The crew came down from DFW to ATX. As a result, some obvious scheduling issues arose. Communication was missing. It made the process difficult. I am very understanding of rain delays and work backlog due to COVID. However the scheduler overlooked dates I was unavailable and the crew delayed after not having the turf available. When the crew shows up to work is when you need to be available. Customer service is not this company's strength. The process from initial sales meeting to project completion took nearly 3 months 4/16/21-6/11/21. Understandable during rainy season and the number of people wanting putting greens in their backyard during COVID. The crew used some of my tools and drank a couple sparkling waters from my garage. I confirmed this w/ crew lead. Turf was laid out in the street. Cars drove over it. Ideal's contract states they charge extra for removing existing landscaping and you'd need to deal with any existing drainage issues ahead of time. Take that literally. They lay out crushed rock and level it, but if you have any uneven grades or existing rock/pavers needing to be removed like I did, hire a landscaper first. In all the company did what they said they'd do, installed synthetic turf for the agreed upon price that was lower than competitors. Some of the edging is rough and a portion is not straight, but the turf quality is good.
