This is the 2nd time I've used Bockman's and both Jon and Angel were very responsive to my needs. Shutters for both sliders one being a standard 8' and the other a larger 10' sliding door. With the limited space I wasn't sure we could upgrade from the bamboo blinds but Angel had a few tricks up his sleeve and pulled it off. He is amazing! Whatever the need, they had a solution! The motorized blinds were very cool but not appropriate for homes with indoor cats so I was out of luck. The shutters are very functional, elegant and easier to keep clean! Happy wife! Rai is top notch! I needed a window treatment for my bay window - to spruce it up a bit. I called JC Penney and was quoted $1,300 and they couldn't use my fabric. Not to mention I felt pretty rushed with them to make a decision on design and fabric. Once I got JCP's quote, I decided to look elsewhere - especially since I have my own fabric and would really like to use it! Thank goodness I found Rai and his company. He came out within about a week or two - keep in mind that my job is very small and he is very busy. I totally understood and was very patient and was happy to work with his schedule. He came out and measured, gave me some ideas, brought in a book of valance design and went over several of them with me. He was very patient and pleasant to work with. I was ecstatic that he was able to use my fabric. I had purchased fabric over a year ago with the intention of having someone else make valances. I had about 18 yards of fabric that was basically useless and a waste of money if I wasn't able to get someone to make a valance out of it. Well Rai was more then happy to do so. I asked him the price and was shocked with how low he was. He said they would be ready to install in 2 weeks. I kept in touch with him, (remember he is busy and has a lot of emails, texts, and phone calls to handle) via text message and he always responded. The curtains were installed 3 weeks after our meeting - which was perfectly fine! I wasn't in any big rush for my little project and didn't expect him to be super on top of it. JCP quoted be 6-weeks because the valance is made out of state. Rai's wife sewed mine and they are GORGEOUS! Rai installed them himself and is a true professional - installing them wearing slacks and a nice button down shirt! I wouldn't have cared if he came in shorts and a t-shirt! Rai did a fantastic job installing honeycomb motorized shades in our home. We got five estimates and Rai came in $500-1500 under the other estimates. We were wondering if the quality of the materials would be less, but he installed Norman shades. They blend in perfectly with our home. There were some hiccups along the way (accidentally installed shades on our 1st floor which were a slightly different color than what we wanted, and a battery wand that malfunctioned) but he replaced the parts both times and without any fee. Ray was great, patient and helped me brainstorm exactly what I may want. He's not just a quality business owner, he is a quality human being. He operates in the best interests of his customers. He has integrity and explained all the different options based on what I would need so that I was sure to make the right decision on my coverings. We did roman shades and a few solar shades around the house and they are very elegant, clean lined and pretty. We love them. I say that Ray has integrity because if there is ever a mistake in the order he addresses it with integrity. There was one time on a second order when my shade came back labeled as the right color but when taken out of the package it a totally different color. Ray and his assistant apologized and made sure the manufacturer sent the correct one. Some vendors in the past would have tried to convince me that it was the same or similar and that "no one will notice but me", but they noticed it right away and just stopped installing before I even noticed. Explained it to me and said they would come back after they ensured the company fixed it. They came back, installed it, it looks wonderful.
