Crecia's was pretty consistent over the past year until I picked up a to-go order for my family on a busy work night around 7PM on 6/9/2021. I ordered 3 orders of shrimp fried rice and 12 lemon pepper wings. We instantly noticed the wings looked old, wilted/dehydrated and very small. I volunteered to taste one wing, one bite. It was sour so I threw all 12 wings away. The shrimp was rubbery and the rice was hard, that too went in the garbage...basically $50 in the trash. I called Crecia's for 2 days to discuss this and for a refund. Every other time I'd call I'd get a busy signal, guessing they have no call waiting. When I finally got in touch with staff they told me the manager, Gina, was there occasionally and sometimes randomly so I asked them to let her know a customer had a bad order and would like a call back. I found no sense in visiting the restaurant for a refund prior to speaking to the manager because the staff was not confident in customer problem resolution without management. I did not hear from Gina until 6/11/2021 around 6PM only because I called and she just happened to be there, which gave me the impression that she had no intention to call me knowing I was expecting her call. I simply told Gina our food was bad and was thrown out and I requested a refund. I told her I had my receipt and would be in the restaurant within 15 minutes for my refund. Gina only offered to remake our food because she had "no proof" that my food was bad because I had no longer had the food with me. She did not acknowledge I kept my receipt and did not apologize for anything not even the fact that I had been calling to speak to her for 2 days. I declined her offer, after the experience and run around I was getting I did not want more food from her restaurant. I demanded a refund. When she was persistent, I asked where can I see their refund policy. Again, she declined and rambled some inaudible nonsense. I told her she was not being reasonable, expecting me to keep bad food in my refrigerator for 2 days OR more given I was not sure I would even speak to her. Gina hung up on me. When I called back Gina threatened to call the police for harassment. I will NEVER return. read more

Tried Crecia's kitchen since the reviews were pretty good despite being newly opened. We went because we had a free gumbo coupon with a $20 purchase. For the 12 wings with kaboom sauce and honey BBQ sauce. The kaboom sauce was REALLY salty but the honey BBQ was good. I Ordered a combo beef pho to try. That was surprisingly good but expensive at $9.99. However, probably a decent price for pho in the area but wouldn't be my first choice restaurant for pho. The gumbo was free but also really salty for my liking so I definitely wouldn't pay $7.99 for it. Came here a second time and got the shrimp po'boy. Really REALLY good. Also had the beef fried rice which was surprisingly enjoyable since I'm Chinese and I'm always hesitant to order fried rice. Was flavorful. Just wish it had some veggies in it. The rice is Enough for 2 meals! Got the funnel cake fries for free with our order since we had a coupon and holy moly, these are AMAZING. Y'all another lazy ass business that won't get any more of my money. I only went to this place ONE TIME and that was enough for me. The line was way to long, it was pricey but most importantly the customer service was trash. The young girl at the register could not put her phone down long enough to even see I was standing there. I wanted to ask her- GIRL WHERE IS YOUR MASK???? But I didn't. I just stayed my 6 ft. When she did notice me she asked, "You know what you want..." not Hello or Welcome In. Nothing. I placed a simple order but it took them forever to make it. Because of COVID they are supposed to bring it out to your car. I parked my very large SUV right in front if the restaurant and waited 25 min. Went in to see if my food was ready and saw the line was still long. So I went back to my car and waited some more. One older guy did come out 2x but he delivered food to cars of people that came after me, which naturally made me frustrated so I finally went in a third time. She said " oh I came outside but didn't see you!" A BOLD FACE LIE. How could she even come outside if she was stuck behind that register and long line of people ordering food. Anyway, I Know she could sense my frustration along with all the other people waiting in that line. I got home and saw this MESS. PLEASE LOOK at the pictures I added. WonTon was just filled with AIR!!! I paid for SHRIMP WONTON NOT AIR WONTON. And I don't know how long they had that fish in the plastic but you know how fish taste like it's been in the freezer to long? A waste of my money . I couldn't even get real lettuce!!! I've tried this place a couple of times since I've been in Humble. I ordered the crawfish & shrimp. They were flavorful, the crawfish were tiny but full of flavor. The shrimp were a nice size & tasted good. Everyone enjoyed the corn & potatoes. Went on a Saturday afternoon and ordered in. First time here, started with egg rolls (3 little pieces) server said they were pork? Served them with a side of ketchup? Tasted more like spring rolls. Crab Rangoon were okay, came with a side of some kind of orange sauce? Unknown flavor? Order of combination rice with chicken and shrimp tasted good. Also, the fried shrimp and catfish, the catfish tasted frozen and fish inside was kind of messy and not tasty. Shrimp was okay. The Cajun fries could have used some more seasoning. I will NEVER waste time to come here again. I started driving at 9:05 to get here. On google it says they close at 10pm but yelp says 9:45pm so I rushed over. While driving I called four times & no one answered but I figured they were just busy. I showed up at 9:27pm for Carlos, an employee, to tell me that I have to take my food Togo because they don't allow seating after 9:20pm. I showed him that I had been calling since 9:07 but that each time no one answered. He then said I must have been on the phone with customer service-they have no guests nor orders so I doubt that was true. If you arent going to accept customers then change your operation hours. Don't waste people time & if your workers aren't going to work your operating hours then they should at least answer the phone so people can know to take their money else where. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even made suggestions of things that I should get. On this particular day, I ordered my food and looked up and there was a small roach in the bowl I was going to put my crawfish shells. I asked for the manager and she took the bowl and got me a new one. By this time, I was freaked out. Needless to say, I didn't eat my food. Manager never apologized and never offered any suggestions about paying for the food. I paid for my food but I didn't go back for several months. I read some reviews before coming here and they seemed to be defent reviews, people had good things to say for the most part you know. Sooo I'm not sure if it because we came before closing or if this is just what it is but my experience was less than satisfactory. We are a family of four and wanted fried fish so we had the tilapia, catfish, shrimp, oysters and lemon pepper wings with sides of cajun fries, hush puppies and onions rings. Let's start with the fish that didn't taste like fish at all but like dirty water or something and was under seasoned. The hush puppies were mehh to me but my 2 year old daughter seemed to like them after drenching them in ketchup. The shrimp were ok, I appreciated that the tails were removed. My husband said he enjoyed the fried oysters although his combo came with a severe shortage of cajun fries. My brother said the lemon peppered wings were decent and I wil personally will say the amount you get for the price was worth it however since the wings don't come as a combo he order a side of fries for $2.50 and for that price I would have expected more fries as well. The tarter sauce seems to be something out of a bottle which I guess is to be expected but definately a miss on the quality. The orange sauce which reminds me lowkey of the Canes Special Sauce was rather watery for my taste and also lacking in flavor. I want to give this place a benefit of the doubt being that many businesses are really struggling with staffing and all kinds of other things but I also still believe in quality service. Maybe I'll try again another time during the daytime. Ps I ordered a shrimp and fish combo with hush puppies. Crecia's Kitchen, if they get their act together, could be a very successful restaurant. The atmosphere and restaurant appearance are appealing. With just a few changes, they could be packed. That requires hiring someone who knows how to cook properly to lead the kitchen, develop recipes and train the staff to follow the directions. I walked in and ordered food to go. Service was prompt and the order was ready quickly. Two orders of crawfish etouffee, large order of Jumbo fried shrimp & cajun fries, large order of fried Catfish. The crawfish etouffee was very, very salty. It's too bad, because otherwise the etouffee would have been good. The base was tasty, but it was overly spicy for an etouffee. It had the right consistency, plenty of crawfish, bits of onions and vegetables and was definitely on the right track. However, the huge amount of salt made it almost inedible. Someone needs to teach the cooking staff to actually TASTE their food, and how to add seasoning. The customer can always add more salt if they want... but you can't remove salt once it's in the etouffee. I had to add the entire contents of the white rice to help reduce the saltiness in order to eat it. My family couldn't get past one spoonful due to the spice and heavy salt. The white rice tasted and felt like it was cooked earlier that day, but it was passable. The cajun fries were actually good. Fried Jumbo Shrimp were NOT actually jumbo shrimp, but they do give you a large portion of large shrimp for the price, so it's not a concern. They were cooked well, a bit bland tasting, but the breading was a little off. If they would stick to the basics of a cornmeal breading with simple spices, it would be much better. These tasted more like the shrimp were dipped in corn-dog batter. Also, the shrimp were peeled, but not very well. Some of the shrimp still had the peel on 1/2 way up the shrimp. It was easy to eat still, but would be nicer if they actually removed the peel down to the tail. Fried Catfish and onion rings were good. The fish portion sizes were nice, the fish was tender and well cooked. Breading was decent, but could be better. Overall, the fried catfish were rather good. I tried it with Tartar sauce and I advise against that. The tartar sauce had a strange sweetness to it that doesn't work with the fish. Overall, Crecia's kitchen was subpar, but they are trying. It could be made much, much better with just a few simple changes. Start by choosing 3 or 4 menu dishes to improve. Look up creole recipes online and find the one that works. Have people taste the recipe and make changes to get it right. Then, write it down and train your staff to make it exactly that way every time. If you can't do better, then source good ready-made ingredients. There are plenty of frozen etouffee bases that you can buy, divide a frozen package into 4 portions... and then upon order, place the frozen base into a pan with fresh onions and peppers, add seafood and a little seasoning. It's not that hard. Blue Runner (from Louisiana) makes a really good canned etouffee base, but it needs to be thickened. I like to see good restaurants succeed. Crecia's kitchen does some things right, but the food isn't up to par. They can improve. I saw that the staff were trying and they obviously want to do better. Management should focus on the food first. Also, stop trying to do high-priced crab and lobster seafood until you get the basics down. Go back to the basics of creole. read more

This place is like a cute little cajun/asian . I always enjoy the food and pho ( best thing on the menu besides seafood selection). My friend and I walked in I think there was another table and someone getting to go food . So they weren't busy. Our server seemed to not care and immediately upon us sitting down he asked for our order when my friend whose never been barely opened her menu . I assume he's a nice young gentlemen.. but if I'm sitting there rattling my cup of ice, eating the ice because I can't get a refill... and I can't get your attention that you messed up my food. then maybe counter service should be the way to go so I can get up and refill my own drink and have my ticket in my hand to see if it was my own mistake. I use to be a server, I understand wanting to not do the most or small duties in a restaurant if it's slow. But a simple refill? Can't repeat back our order to check for accuracy? or check on us once if everything was to our liking.. My friend also picked up our checkbooks and took it to him just to have our payment processed as she was standing for a while waiting to leave . SIDE NOTE: i did bring my boyfriend here the day before for him to try and food was amazing and our server was on top of everything! don't let my visit discourage anyone maybe just new servers need to get the hang of things . My first and last time here. Crab Rangoon puffs were the only good item. Jumbo shrimp po-boy with Cajun fries: fries were good but the po-boy was horrible. Hotdog bun instead of baguette, not properly toasted. The shrimp was the worst I ever had: tough and very heavily breaded, felt as if it was fried twice. Please remove the name JUMBO shrimp from the menu! The shrimp was less than medium size. The entire item smelled and tasted like old frying oil. The last straw: I was waiting and waiting for my order to go while the cook was working with phone orders. At least four or five people came after me and picked up their orders. Just curious: if it was not around 4pm and quiet, how long you have to wait if you didn't place a phone order? Very disappointed. read more

I had Crecia's Wings, Mild Crab leg and boiled shrimp with corn and potatoes. The flavor is very good. I will be back to try the Pho. Another customer stated the rice and pork appetizer was very good. I'll be back to try that as well. Please don't change. Ohhhhhhh last thing that is random. The music is everything. I ordered garlic noodles with shrimp, shrimp was good noodles just tasted bland like they got boiled and dumped on my plate no seasoning no taste no garlic that's for sure ! I'm very indecisive so when I find a new spot I usually end up spending way to much because I want to try EVERYTHING. We ordered the crawfish, fish& shrimp basket, combination fried rice, & Kaboom wings. Unfortunately the only thing that I was impressed with were the wings. The restaurant was clean. Staff was very friendly. But.. The crawfish were over cooked so it was very hard to peel them. The shrimp in the rice was bland & still had the tails still on them so we couldn't just eat the rice, we had to stop find the shrimp take the tail off then take a bite. And the fried shrimp and fish was just off. I'd go back for the wings. But I don't think the wings should be the highlight at a Cajun spot. My first time here based on all of the reviews. I had a combo basket (shrimp & catfish) and would have given 5 stars however one of the shrimp was not cleaned well and still had a dirt line that was fried into the batter. The seafood is very fresh and has a very good seasoning. Tastes as if it was just caught. Catfish was very moist but the filet could be a little thicker in my opinion, but not that big of an issue. The cajun fries are great as well along with the comdiments that come with the platter. I won't let the mishap keep me from going back.
