Time stamp after writing review. Approximately 10 minutes after arriving at restaurant.

I arrived here at 8:30 pm and asked for a table for one. The waiter told me they were only doing takeout because they were about to close. The sign clearly says they close at 9:00 pm. I could easily eat and pay by 8:45 but they decided they are not interested in catering to their customers. I've eaten here many times but I will never eat here again. If you're looking for a place to eat look elsewhere and maybe you'll get decent customer service! I posted a picture of their business hours in case anyone doubts my story! I'm also posting a time shot I took after writing this review approximately 10 minutes after I arrived here!

The pork Banh Mi is amazing. Fresh vegetables and great taste! The Pho was fresh but lacked something... maybe salt? The egg rolls are great but pretty small especially for the price. I'd definitely order here again!

My grandfather lived in Vietnam for many years so I thought he would enjoy a trip to a viet place. The food here was excellent! We started with fried oysters, which were crispy and delicious, with perfect texture, shrimp and crawfish fried rice, which i really enjoyed (it was crispy, well seasoned), and spring rolls which were soft and fresh. The peanut sauce with the spring rolls was also excellent, it was creamy and spicy. The pho was also really flavorful and tasty. The jalapeño peppers were super fresh and they made the soup immediately spicy. Loved the banh mi as well, though it was small it was very flavorful and crispy. I thought the food and service was excellent. The waiter checked on us many times. The big highlight of the dining room is for sure their saltwater fish tank, though they have a smaller freshwater fish tank near the front of the dining room with goldfish in it. One of my hobbies is fish keeping and i could tell that this saltwater fish tank was extremely well kept. The staff must be passionate about raising saltwater fish. When i was there i saw they were acclimating some anemone to the tank! The fish were playful and energetic and they were a pleasure to watch throughout the evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant if purely for the saltwater tank!

This eatery is on point. Everything from The Pho soup to the mouth watering double Fish poor boy is hearty for two people even. My family of five is always satisfied! Can eat here for under 60$. The attendants are cordial In Helping make adequate choices and it's feels warm and relaxing. A family spot definitely!!

We have tried the following and have not been disappointed: Pho (it's a little cinnamony) Vietnamese sandwiches Fried rice (Cajun is our fave) Vermicelli bowls Spring rolls Egg rolls Catfish Fried shrimp Buffalo Wings (they're super easy on the sauce which I personally appreciate) Hamburger poboy Crawfish combo My only (not really) complaint: I *always* seem to want to go on Tuesdays. You know, the one day they're closed.

My thoughts and my taste was completely different! Didn't want to try my usual cause they were too far, so I gave this place a shot. Fried rice with shrimp and vegetables plain to me. The flavors was not enticing like at my usual, which allow you to come back. Seasoning was not on point from my perspective. Yet I didn't have a Seafood boil at any rate . I don't think I will give this place a second chance because it wasn't satisfied with this first experience.

Vermicelli pork and 2 lbs crawfish

We came here based on the reviews while on this side of town for work. You walk in and don't expect much but the food was really great. The service was quick and to the point. We had vermicelli bowls, some crawfish and got banh mi's to go. All so excellent. I'd definitely go back if I was in that area again.

For the latter, it's gotten to a point where no other Vietnamese spot has come close. For pho seekers who happen to be in Humble, Pho Dien 1960 is an absolute must. The place is small, but they've stacked their small dining room into a very group friendly setup consisting of small booths and tables. The stale air quality is reminiscent of old school spots around town and the young Viet guys running the joint keep the place friendly and efficient. In terms of the pho, there are no complaints. The broth skews somewhat sweet, but it's aromatic enough for me to normally slurp it completely dry. Their best asset has been the meat, which is excellent. Their combination dac biet is an excellent variety that includes meatball, tripe, flank, and some of the best rare steak and tendon I've had. The latter is buttery and smooth enough to where I can't get enough. I tend to order it in their XL (xe lua) size, which is an off-menu item that goes for nearly $20 ($19.45) and is one of the largest bowls I've seen. I always look forward to getting it. While their banh mi and bun dishes are not nearly the same caliber, they still pass the test as a quality offering. The cha gio is a bit paltry, without any greens and a small bowl of semi-spicy nuoc mam (fish sauce). Their Vietnamese coffee is chocolate-y, and perfect for to-go. Their weekday lunch combo special is a good deal, in which one can come in for a small or medium sized pho and get an order of two cha gio or goi cuon with an iced tea. Parking is really easy on the weekends, especially since most of the businesses in the strip mall are closed. It may feel a tad more expensive ($12-18 per most entrees) but this is the price one pays in suburbia without having to head to any of the enclaves.

But drinks, spring rolls, banh mi, vermicelli/rice plates are also their jam. Definitely on the pricier side for Vietnamese food and not truly authentic (but guess it's pretty far from Alief / Bellaire here), but I enjoyed the flavors anyways! ** 5 spice tofu vermicelli: this beautiful plate came with big fluffy pieces of tofu that were nicely fried, but the tofu itself had only a hint of the 5 spice flavor. It came with a very sweet, light fish sauce (?) that amped up the flavor, and there are sriracha and hoisin sauces on each table if needed. The medley of carrots, cabbage, and cilantro added some crunch and color. It wasn't oily or overly filling, and I'm happy I tried it :) ** BBQ pork banh mi: solid banh mi with some pickled veggies inside. Take out the jalepeno if you don't like spicy! The pork is a little on the fattier side. We added a fried egg as suggested by the staff (man, eggs are expensive right now!), and it was a little overcooked since we usually like the slightly runny yolk for banh mi. The bread wasn't overly crispy that it poked the roof of your mouth. ** Shrimp tempura: more of a fried shrimp than the Japanese tempura style, but still tasty! These came piping hot with pickled carrots too. Doesn't taste very "shrimpy," which may be good depending on who you ask. It's a clean and sort of fun, airy atmosphere. You order at the cashier first and the water, utensils, boxes, etc are self-serve. The staff were friendly. Definitely bring a jacket-- they had fans circulating cold air and it was chilly! Would return for their lunch offerings if in the area and to try the drinks and bubble waffles :D
