I went there yesterday to celebrate my birthday and it was the worst experience I ever had, I think because we are not white they even charge for the sauce that makes the food taste better is like they wanted to make sure we don't come back, it was only 3 adults and the charge $209 when I don't think is was worth it at all...I could get way more food with better taste at lotus in veterans memorial and west rd for less than $30, they will not see me at this place again in my life and that's a fact

I do not have enough great words to describe the crawfish experience at Mud Bugs in splendora. Our server, blonde Paige, was outstanding, polite, and very attentive. Vanessa, the manager, stopped by to chat with us. Both ladies were so professional. We got the Sunday special. $65 for 10lbs with two corn, and two sausage. We ordered extra sides plus sausage. We chose 5 lbs of Louisiana seasoning and 5 lbs of Texas spicy. I'm not a fan of the Texas dusting but these crawfish have changed my mind entirely. Both were flavorful and spicy. Make my lips burn a little, but not so hot my nose is running, kind of good. Brushes in the sink to clean your hands and nails. Huge bonus! Size was crazy! Flavor 10/10 Easy to peel No dead or limp ones. We did have a few that were heads or claws only.

My wife and I come down from Seattle every year to visit family and we always make sure to stop by. We love the atmosphere for its big family vibe. The boudin dip is fantastic and the spicy crawfish brings tears to my eyes for more reason than one. Our server Madison was very kind and helpful and made our experience all the more enjoyable. Staff is nice. The crawfish are cooked well. The seasonings they use are terrible. My biggest complaint is how salty they taste. The last time we ordered from here, we had to rinse them off in hot water before we could choke them down. I pass by daily and always see it packed so I had to try it. The food is amazing and the service is exceptional. This is the place to go for crawfish! 10.95/lb for Crawfish is already bad enough. To top things off they overcook their crawfish. They were literally sucked up into the body of the crawfish they were so overcooked. Sent them back as the manager assured me she wanted our happiness. Second batch equally overcooked. She offered to show me how to peel them lol when she also had trouble she said my son does it so much better. Laughable read more

We tried Mud Bugs on opening day and they didn't disappoint! We ordered crawfish and shrimp with the potatoes and corn. My husband said they were great. I ordered chicken and sausage gumbo and it was AMAZING. The staff was awesome and on top of everything! They even offered to grab beers out of the cooler for the guys eating crawfish!! So nice and polite!! Everything was clean and nice! We will definitely be back for more!!! read more

We ordered the works during our Covid-19 quarantine. We had shrimp, crab, crawfish and sausage. With all the extras and sides. We were all super impressed with the flavor! Sausage wasn't our fave but all the rest we have no complaints. They were super friendly and professional over them phone! The dipping sauce was great and I'm picky! We will be ordering again soon! This was the best cajun restaurant I've ever been too! The food was apparently prepared by staff that are experts in the cuisine. We were seated promptly by friendly knowledgeable staff. We received our order within a few minutes of ordering and were served delicious appetizers before the order was served! We were treated like family by the staff. We had the greatest meal ever. We've driven by 1000 times - today we read the reviews! No more driving by! Hands down the BEST crawfish in the Huffman/Crosby area! The regular seasoning was perfect - corn and potato flavorful! Gumbo some kind of good!! Staff awesome all friendly and accommodating- our server was Kylie- she was awesome! Took care of us - made sure all was to our liking- very friendly and engaging! Glad we "discovered" Mudbugs early enough this season to frequently visit! Promise you will NOT be disappointed! read more

We waited an hour for a table. Which was fine because we understood it was the dinner hour. We got sat at a table in the corner that was not conducive to our party (we had 2 little children) and we had to squeeze in and out to go to the restroom. We ordered our food and then continued to sit for an additional 30 minutes before they were able to move us to a larger table. While we sat at the larger table, we watched the table we previously sat at get served their meal (which included crawfish). We were then approached 20 minutes later to let us know they could not fulfill our crawfish order. They offered us $1 off to comeback during the week - seems like they could have done a little bit more being that the name of your establishment was "Mudbugs". They knew when we sat down they would not be able to fulfill our order. But to make us sit there for the additional time and offer less than an adequate service recovery is honestly the worst part. Needles to say, we will not be back. And I will not recommend this to anyone. read more

Mud Bugs has become our go-to for Crawfish, Snowcrab and Shrimp! The flavor is spot on, the service is exceptional and the "pay at the table" option is a great way to end an awesome experience. There are many options today for crawfish but not all are created equal. Mud Bugs flavor is a notch above the others and you will not be dissapointed. Great little hole in the wall hidden in Splendora!! We are new to the town and stopped by for the first time last weekend. WOW WHAT A SURPRISE!! awesome mud bugs and the fixings. Not too spicy not to bland, just right. The boiled shrimp are amazing. Beyond the great atmosphere, food and music the owners and employees are the most inviting and friendly bunch of small town folk you could meet. It felt like we were coming over for Sunday dinner. The only drawback for me was they don't sell beer but I was informed that BYOB was ok. So next time I will be prepared. I will be back and will bring friends and family!!! read more

The oysters were fried but they were small, I would skip on the oysters and get extra shrimp! Otherwise, I highly recommend!

Our waitress Lilly said she would check on it but it never came, and she eventually disappeared altogether. We asked for a manager twice, and no one ever came. Overall, the staff needs training, service was extremely disappointing and poorly managed.

I can assure you there is not a better noodle house anywhere within 30 minutes or so of this place. If you like noodles then this is the place to go. I will definitely be back soon! The crawfish here were seriously impressive--perfectly cooked, easy to peel, and packed with flavor. The seasoning had just the right balance of spice, garlic, and citrus without being overwhelming, and every bite tasted fresh. I also appreciated that the crawfish weren't mushy or overcooked, which can easily ruin the experience. The sides, especially the corn and potatoes, soaked up all that seasoning and were just as good as the main dish. Overall, it felt like an authentic boil with great quality and attention to detail.
